I love her little trick where she slows it down and you think maybe that's the end but she picks it right back up with that smile. Love this lady. Sounds a lot like my dad stole from her.
A very nice Lady, I talked w her on the telephone and we were planning to cut an album together with another blues artist, Love her Banjo More. Military Marches I think.
Everything about her, inside and out, is pure beauty
My brother in law's grandmother, wish I had met her.
Etta makes it look effortless. Such a graceful beautiful sound.
i hope this lady will never die, please, i admire her so much, with just two fingers does her fingerpicking.
Such a beautiful sound! She talked of her dad with such fondness. I hope my daughter remembers me as warmly when she’s Etta’s age.
It's always great to see a player that has already mastered the Instrument and tune and is happy to enjoy it and is free of anything uncomfortable
I've been playing guitar 47 years and only today discover Etta Baker. Good things eventually arrive
Love this!
I love Etta!
Brilliant guitarist!!
Beauty shines on through!
Fantastic. Love it.
What an absolute master. The control she exerts on dynamics is mind boggling
Miss Etta Baker is a true American treasure. This is how music was meant to be, organic and for the common people. GOD Bless Miss baker.
I'm sad to say that it took me this long to discover Etta Baker.
Awesome! The Piedmont has this swing wow...thanks for posting! 🎵🎵🎵

I just recently learned that the piedmont blues was my style of picking and god I love this music
Me too, how's it sounding now have you sticked to it?
Two days of mind boggling confusion and its starting to fall into place for myself.

My grandma too!
Holy crap she gets so much sounds out of that guitar
WOW!
I lived most of my life in Morganton, and met Etta several times. Too bad the audio has a bad sounding distortion on this upload.
Tell us more, Larry. What was Etta like to talk with?
That’s “Carolina Breakdown”
Thank you
she got a little gain on that channel whoo boy!!
Anybody know which tuning she might be using on the guitar?
Standard tuning. She plays in "E" position. "E (7)" "A(7)" and "B(7)" with a whole lotta other stuff ;)

key of E, it's a 12 bar blues (roughly), so a 1 4 5 ( e7 , a7 , b7) with alternating bass
