Dunno if Dan reads this, but, The "Original Body" and "Gray Fox" are pure cosmetics, Costumes. Despite the descriptions, they don't actually limit Raiden in any capacity. They do serve as nice little bonuses for long-time Metal Gear fans, however. "Original Body" was how Raiden looked in "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots", and "Gray Fox" is the name of the eponymous character from "Metal Gear Solid (The Twin Snakes)", and the "FOX Blade" was Gray Fox's sword. The FOX Blade is priced high for a reason, as it has a Special Effect that allows it to ignore Enemy Armor on any strike. Said upgrade needs to be purchased still.

I actually got stuck for a while because I accidentally skipped the parry in the tutorial. The parry makes the game infinitely more fun and it seems RT encountered the same thing, only button mashing without it
The Bladewolf fight is meant to teach you how important it is in the game, but a lot of people just brute force past it and struggle the rest of the game because they just try to block instead of actually parrying.
It doesn't explain that part particularly well. Until the G.R.A.D. fight I thought you could just attack while moving towards an enemy to parry, not that you had to flick and attack. A visualization might have helped better. Imo they should have included dodging as part of the tutorial too since it's a fairly important move later on.
Its a shame the tutorial is so ineffective, it tries to teach you parries and blade mode but still lets you pass if you dont figure it out Glad the Blade Wolf fight did its job and taught him though, big improvement there! Nvm to my doubts at all RT did like 5x better than I did first time around

Kojima didn't write this game, Etsu Tamari did. I often think of this as the game Kojima wishes he could have written, because it manages to be extremely entertaining and have a solid, clear message instead of getting bogged down in over-explaining stuff like MGS games usually do.
In particular, memes are the focused-upon subject in MGS2, where Raiden originated from, which is why Monsoon lectures to Raiden about memes. It is supposed to be a call-back to that game.

Making fun of and ignoring everything this game offers, it really is an insult to every fan of this series.
