  • North Dakota duck hunting over small water spread for early season puddle ducks. Mixed bag of mallards, widgeon, blue wing teal, green wing teal, gadwall, pintail and wood ducks. We harvested ten different species of ducks which is one of the most enjoyable aspects of hunting this region over water spreads. Fast paced action that doesn’t take very many decoys.
This type of hunt and level of success is something most hunters can pull off of you do enough scouting and knock on a few doors. North Dakota remains one of the premier states especially for freelance waterfowl hunters.

Growing up around Benson, Towner, and Ramsey counties we were blessed with some of the best waterfowl hunting opportunities. I have fond memories of getting up before school and getting my limit on the first couple of waves coming off Lake Irvine or Stink Lake. You just needed to know the right fence lines to sit in as close as possible to the lake and you would get them coming off the lake right on the deck.

Great video! Excellent quality. Who’s ready for duck season in Missouri?
