Just a tip,,, place the eggs the incubator, with the larger end facing up and the pointy end facing down in the incubator. Set the temperature to 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit with 50-55 percent humidity .... might help withe the hatch rate

M8 amazing video . Feral pigeons hold and tame the offspring , and sell them to make some money. What do you do with dud eggs , fertilizer , racoon bait ?
You're doing well on your videos , so keep up the good work. God bless y'all.

I never seem to have much luck with bought eggs unless I know the person. I only like to set eggs about 5 days old, and I think people who sell keep them much longer. Love the auction videos.

Brother, move the Giant Homer's eggs to Ferals egg, because the feral pigeons raise better than Homers (sorry for my English, I'm from Romania)

A lot to say on this video - so let's start:
    1. If You buy birds and they immediately start nesting, let them. Flip them later together with their Young so You have more of them and can sell the parents as "already paired up" which will make them increase in value.
    2. For most if not all birds the males are cheap (at least for the polygynous ones). So just buy another call drake which should be affordable and compensate it by selling the two ones You have now. One good drake is easily able to take care of a few hens.
    3. When judging the birds at the auction keep in mind that a lot of breeders sell the bad ones and keep only the best in their breeding stock so the quality of the hatching eggs might be better than their relatives for sale might indicate.
    4. Hatching eggs are quite cheap in Kansas - I pay on average 2$ for one egg of a heritage breed here in Germany! If You plan on making a profit, hatching eggs will be the easier way compared to flipping birds, just keep note which breeders sell good eggs, which breeds reach good prices and whether it is profitable to sell the chicks at different ages from freshly hatched to full grown pullets.
That was a lot - I hope You still read it and maybe these thoughts help You somewhat.

Thanks for all feedback dude!!! I probably will keep the nesting pairs.
Hopefully I can find a quality blue drake.
Even the best breeders have cull birds.
Eggs should be an easier flip!

Dear brother, In intention to learn about your Amish way of life, I've seen the movie "Amish Grace" last night, and lemme tell ya, i was moved deeply. I love the way you guys keep your faith closer than anything and anybody. I can also percieve that you are a modern Amish man with cameras and outside world interactions, which is a good thing in my view. I'm really happy to see one of a kind American community from the opposite side of the world. Thanks for making this happen and thank RUclips for this. 😊

I think you could make good money as they're flipping birds and other stuff. that is how I made money all through High School. I have had the same luck with eggs from out there somewhere good some weren't so good and some didn't hatch at all.

On the pigeons I would keep them and sell the babies off of them. In the long run I think you would have a better flip if you keep them.

It might not be the male call duck that is not fertile, I've experienced this before with pigeons the hen will lay infertile eggs , it happened this year for me got 2 blank clutches from a pair, but the cock is a proven older cock, so I changed hens and he filled every egg with the other hen

Personally, I think you need to update your incubator. That’s if my assumption is correct, that you need to manually turn the eggs. Auto turner keeps the humidity and temp more stable

Really enjoy the vids keep them coming. Also I would keep the giant homers and flip the off spring , it's free money that way. Get a minnow cage and use a bad egg as bait for the snakes like your buddy Bobby Guy.

Jordan, just my opinion. Keep the nice pair of calls, and the extra hen. You got the other male, but try to breed for the best. Maybe not this year, but next year you may get fertility out of them. They don't need it but breed better with water, and sometimes just need extra time to mature. Thanks For sharing.
