In a perfect world... Best Picture: Lady Bird Best Director: Guillermo Del Toro, The Shape of Water Best Actor: Timothee Chalamet, CMBYN Best Actress: Saorise Ronan, Lady Bird Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe, The Florida Project Best Supporting Actress: Laurie Metcalf, Lady Bird Best Original Screenplay: Jordan Peele, Get Out Best Adapted Screenplay: James Ivory, CMBYN
Are you losing your mind? Saoirse Ronan is not even close to compete with Frances mcdormand and Sally Hawkins ok? I watch all three of them this year and Saoirse has the worst performance among all
Firstly I said in a perfect world, insinuating that this is what I would like to win. And secondly, as they discussed it is not completely given on performance, I mean this will be Ronan's third nomination, not saying that she's overdue but the academy might like to recognize that. idk
Nolan for director, three billboards for picture and original script, call me by your name for adapted script, oldman for actor, ronan for actress, dafoe and metcalf for supporting performances, blade runner for cinematography, dunkirk for editing
Michael loses me when he can’t distinguish between Juno and Lady Bird and when he can’t distinguish between Streep’s “historical” performances. Ugh. And Tom, Ronan may not have that speech you require, but I think a strength of the character is that she has a few very short “speeches” (like a sentence each) that are profound and stuck with me.
My 36th year at handicapping *Oscar & at this stage I have Best film: "Three Billboards..." Actor: 0ldman Actress: McDormand S. Actor: Dafoe S. actress: Metcalf & Best Director: Del Toro
Blade Runner 2049 is definitely the best picture of 2017. It’s the most influential and the one that will be remembered. Maybe it’s not as politically correct as other movies but it’s the best.
Gary Oldman plays interesting characters, for sure, but for the most part, he doesn’t quite seem to “deliver” for me. But, critics have loved him throughout the decades.
Sally Hawkins isn't a deaf-mute. She's just mute. They say so right in the trailer. And CMBYN isn't "gay" movie. It's a queer film for sure. But seeing as neither Elio nor Oliver are gay (At least Elio isn't), it doesn't really qualify as a gay movie.
"The women were not central to the story emotionally for either man." // So what? That doesn't mean they weren't sexually attracted to them. Bisexuality implies attraction to both sexes and the ability to fall in love with either.
You completely forgot to mention "All the Money in the World", Michelle Williams, Ridley Scott and most especially Christopher Plummer giving one of the best performances of his career as Getty
Tom, I've known you since aboiut 2002-(corresponce wise &you used to ALWAYS COMEBACK TOI MY BRIEF QUESTIONS ON YOURV MSG WHAT HAPPENED PAL? & again, pleeese don't keep this ongoing music in the background, it's destracting to what you GOLBYITES QARE SAYING???
Rooting for Timothée Chalamet all the way !!!!!!
He should have gotten the Golden Globe.
In a perfect world...
Best Picture: Lady Bird
Best Director: Guillermo Del Toro, The Shape of Water
Best Actor: Timothee Chalamet, CMBYN
Best Actress: Saorise Ronan, Lady Bird
Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe, The Florida Project
Best Supporting Actress: Laurie Metcalf, Lady Bird

best picture CMBYN but Moonlight winning last year might sway voters to Ladybird. CMBYN really has a lasting effect which can't be ignored

I'd go crazy if Lady Bird won, I'm pretty sure I'm in love with Greta Gerwig
Yes, I'd love to see Timothee win the Oscar for BA!
I want Call Me By Your Name to win!! I loved Three Billboards but really want CMBYN to win
call me by ur name: all the way for wins !!!!!!!!!!!
my best best actor is Timothee Chalamet!
Michael Musto is underselling Saorise Ronan's masterful performance in Lady Bird.
Call Me By Your Name sweeps the Oscars in my reality.
Nolan for director, three billboards for picture and original script, call me by your name for adapted script, oldman for actor, ronan for actress, dafoe and metcalf for supporting performances, blade runner for cinematography, dunkirk for editing
Nolan for director hahaha he has no chance against Del toro or Spielberg
Tom O'Neil and Michael Musto, awesome!
Three Billboards - Pictures
Shape of Water - Director
LadyBird - Screenplay

When does the Oscar academy will release the list of the nominates ?
I always thought Dunkirk does not deserve best pic
Great predictions. Greetings from Veracruz, Mexico.
People criticize the CGI in Dunkirk? How? Because there was no CGI in Dunkirk!
Marcus Norgren yea i thoght the same
My 36th year at handicapping *Oscar & at this stage I have Best film: "Three Billboards..." Actor: 0ldman Actress: McDormand S. Actor: Dafoe S. actress: Metcalf & Best Director: Del Toro
YAY Michael Musto!
"Shurshu" in "Ladybug"??? How drunk are they? No excuse for any critic or prognosticator to mispronounce Saoirse at this point.
Chris Darris And he had the nerve to ask for clarification on Timothée’s name.
exactly and her name has been brought up by almost every sinlge talk show host out there during interviews, im surprised to see people dont know it
Chris Darris it is actually Shursa. She said so.
Please God... let Timothee Chalamet win for Best Actor!!! He deserves every award for which he's been nominated!!
THREE BILLBOARDS!!!
McDormand will win her 2nd best actress. She gave the performance of a lifetime.
She's very typecast in this type of role. She doesn't have the range that Meryl Streep does.

Reactive acting by Timothy? B....shit:((((( He is great!!!!
Totally agree...why don't you (the guys who said that) try and "react act" like him...easy to sit there and say sh*t like this!

klausweasley gay as a day in May...in a good way. The women were not central to the story emotionally for either man.

NOTHING will EVER atone for Brokeback Mountain.
Sally Hawkins wasn't a deaf mute...
Ronan
Gave up on the Oscars when Crash beat Brokeback.

StephenHoltShow OMG. I love your interviews. What did you think of Phantom Thread?
Good time ?????
