Hey Pam, I took my Arrtx pencils & put them in a case so I can use the rubber holder of those pencils to hold whatever pencils I’m currently working with & they don’t roll off the table!! Works great! 😁
The selection of purples for a set this size is really nice, but I've never seen pencils swatched (and blended) that crumbled that badly. And for $50, the packaging is grim. For six bucks more, you could get the new 126 Arrtx set that has been well reviewed and seems much nicer.
i don't have the entire set, just the 20 or so from two kits. So far i like them much better than the prismacolors from another kit. They have not crumbled and the wood seems sturdy. They are not as soft as prismas, but softer than polychromos. I've used them on two grisayle pictures as well as a coloring book, work well. They won't replace my more expensive pencil brands, but for the price they are good.
I received my set of the Grizaye pencils today. Seems pretty nice for the price. Thank you for the swatching of these in proper color family order, that is always a challenge for me. The color lay-down is good and blending is good, too. I was disappointed in the packaging, cheap little cardboard box does almost mothing to protect the pencils in shipping. Overall would recommend them,
I love the color selection here. I am happy to finally see a set that does not have so darned many yellows and grays. It seems most sets go overboard on those two colors ( at least for my needs this is true.)
Got excited - thought, based on the name, maybe they were like Graphitint. The grey scale books look interesting but not as exciting as a Graphitint-style set of pencils.
I messaged Grizaye regarding their usage of a pencil box and in relation to Amazon's poor packaging. She responded QUICKLY. Stated the box is to reduce pricing and they are VERY aware of Amazon's poor packaging, so they send directly from their own site in a padded envelope. I suggested taping box shut, perhaps an extra wrap around the box before placing in their padded envelope. Then I went to browse their site. Found a Valentine kit special for $99. Includes 72 pencils, a pencil kit (has a girl), extra Grizaye, also a lesson kit, AND a pencil case.
I was just about to order two greyscale coloring books. I have never used one before. Just a quick question for ya...do regular pencils work on in these kinds of books or do I need a special pencils like this? THANK YOU :)

Those seem to be a nice set. Great review! 👏👏 Lots of pretty colors! 🌈
They seem wonderful. I would love to see how they preform in a coloring book ❤️
How do these compare to the Caron D'Ache Pablos? They look very similar--like intentionally similar.
Thanks for showing these, very nice.
Are they better then Arrtex?
I was coming to ask the exact same question

I’m so happy you love them. I agree about the packaging. I moved mine to a pencil case.
Please color something with these pencils!
Hi I love to use color pencil for drawing houses, do you recommend for me to use these for my drawing?

I agree! I love the color selection in every color family.
Would be nice to see you use these in a coloring book!

The unsharpened cores remind me of Markart.
