You’ll never know how much these videos help out. Getting ready to rig my ‘24 kayak (replacement hull) and add the nk180. Appreciate the detailed content, especially the foot pedal setup. I’ll need this section to help with my process.

Great video series. I'm looking to deploy a similar motor lift setup like you for my nk300. I have the Jake Plates as well. What size bolt you used to secure the pulley to the Jake Plate?

I believe it is the inch and a half T-Bolt from YakAttack!

Awesome setup! Have you had any issues with water getting in from the back where you drilled the two holes for the steering? I want to do the same thing to my PA, but worried about putting holes in the back near the water line.

@@AliensHive2 I honestly haven’t noticed! It’s a pretty tight squeeze to get the tubing through there so there’s very little room for water to consistently get in.

@@BrandonHua.Fishing Thanks for the reply. @ 9:19 where you are talking about the reverse mechanism, with the cable, what knot is that that you tied to the carabiner? Thanks again!

can you link the caps you used to terminate the tubing. I just ordered all the components for this and planned on just melting it like I have seen others do. there is one other video that uses the caps but I cant tell which ones they are.

I actually used a lighter to heat up and flattened the ends of mine.

I think The Newport NK 300 is a little better than the torpedo because it's half the price.. it's not as fast as the torpedo but it's more of a budget-friendly electric outboard motor for kayaks..✌️

I’m not sure about 10x better. Obviously you have the convenience to run whatever battery you choose but that is also extra weight. I enjoy having the miles I can run based off my battery life left. Also, I found that I was faster than a NK300. Same pro angler 14 360 and I have more weight in accessories in my kayak.

Very nice. What top speed do you expect?

Last year I was averaging 6.3-6.4mph on average. 9mph with current 😂

Why torqueedo over Newport out of curiosity?

I took into consideration that they are the “original” and I was actually influenced by some of the top national anglers. They put their trust into it and that shows a lot. I love the fact that it shows how many miles I can exactly run with the battery life left. It has never left me stranded!

It would be great if you did not have to run there batt. That’s a major negative for me.

I’ve thought the same, but sometimes it’s nice to have an all in one package. Also, the features with the proprietary battery is extremely useful. Having an exact distance in miles available on the battery gives me an idea if I can make it back to the launch or not. I love going wide open throttle, but I can adjust my speed depending on the distance from the launch every time. It has never left me stranded!

@@BrandonHua.Fishing just needs to be an option to run another batt that’s all. That batt dies or has an issue your dicked. Every other motor you can just throw another batt on to get you through a weekend or whatever. I don’t know what amp hour batt that is but it’s not 100 and I really don’t want anything less that 100ah. Sorry for the rant it’s a great motor just no reason to lock your into there batt.
