Slow Ride

SCENE 1: Started off perfect together, but I should have realized sooner that it was all in my head. You faded away as fast as you came, leaving me to take this trip back home the same way I started it, by myself....
SCENE 2: There were times of peace within the chaos. That peace only existed when we refused to acknowledge each other. The second we snapped back to reality, conflict was there. We were holding in all those feelings and emotions, suppressing them with a delusional fantasy of what we wanted. I held you as tight as I could, stroked the flames of truth, and ended up getting burned. What can I say? I guess I love scars.
SCENE 3: When one season ends, a new one begins. Memories become stories of love, containing the essence of soul portrayed in experience.
In the revelations of relations, you start to sense where things make sense and where they don’t. How much time and energy is this gonna cost you?
I made sure to take my time navigating through these roads, it’s a shame I still hit so many potholes. Spent too much time trying to fix the wheels to get going, when all I had to do was walk away…..
It was a Slow Ride.
