Three of Elvis' best films were only shot in black & white- Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock & King Creole. It would be great for his legions of fans worldwide if all three of them could be professionally colourised for commercial release. The technology is certainly available in this day and age.
@Yelserp22 Yes affirmative those are Chinese subtitles. I have been in China for three years and I can roughly read Chinese Characters. I also have this very DVD and I bought it in Shanghai.

Elvis' Label was RCA, later RCA/BMG and today Sony Music. This Version you find on "Elvis Heart and Soul" (the original 1995 release, not the 2003 re-release!), and elvis only in the 50s and mono on "Elvis 56", the original 1997 release. Both great official RC/BMG releases.
Had the potential to be a great film actor if The Colonel hadn't pushed him into so much schlock. Could have done the kind of work Sinatra did when Frank chose carefully, as in Manchurian Candidate, Some Came Running, etc

As I wrote in the introduction, the subtitles in this video were a part of the video. So they were not only displayed graphically. Therefore In this version you cant deselect the subtitles, only cutting the picture.
Some movie songs were recorded in "2-track" version. RCA Official publications speak of "Binaural". Experts are divided as to whether this name is correct. In 2-track recording, the voice is recorded on channel 1, the music on the other channel 2. Since Elvis recorded several takes, and changed the arr. of the vocals and instruments, this could be from 2 different 2-track recordings under omit a track is create a true 3-track stereo version with the overdubbing on one Take. Sorry for my english
Oh I too believe wholeheartedly that Elvis loved Piscilla and she loved him. It's hard for us to imagine or understand, as our lives are normal, how different their lives were (E's especially). His world was very confined due to his fame, which we all know. Just try to imagine how different that would make you or rather what kind of impact that would have on relationships. Add to the fact that no one told Elvis "no", among other things, it was hard for either of them to remain faithful. His mother and her death had a major impact too. He also loved Linda dearly, but I believe Priscilla was his soul mate.

Since this movies first realease I have only ever heard the soundtrack and albums in mono. How come we now hear them in strereo?
The Japanese subtitles only help point out the degree of Elvis's fame.
