Content like RUclips and Twitch is unique in that there is a direct line of communication between the people enjoying the content and the creator. I think that’s what sets them apart from just watching a movie or watching something on TV.
Love it. I too am doing a "meta" approach to my community. I am a game dev, but I found almost no valid constructive criticisms when I was sharing my game's progress. SO... I made a format where I do weekly game feedback streams! Cheers. I love channels that give back.
Creators also know that no matter how long you create content, even some of your die hards will fall off. I’ve had it happen, I’m sure Dukey has, and so have you. We know how volatile these platforms are, but your friends can definitely do more than just verbally support what you do.
