I found it easier to remove the Front tires on each side. Also, my 2009 Saturn Sky does not have the brake vent tube. But My Sky had a more liner material at the back of the liner that was not shown on this video. Thanks for getting me started on this project.
@@lostwhirley It might add some work to do it that way. Removing it intact ensures that the fasteners that could be removed and reused are kept safe this way, and you'd have a reference to their placement for the new liner.
I agree, it would be easier with the wheels off, but it requires a jack lower than either of mine. I could have put it on my lift and done it that way, but I felt a practical demonstration that anyone could do was the best choice for the video. Thanks for watching!
Take the wheel off. Much easier with less struggles. Drive the car tire onto a 2x4 if you need floor jack clearance, and be sure to use a jack stand once you have the car jacked up.
Yep. That'll work. We didn't use the MaxJax that day. We have an outdoor pad for it and didn't use it, maybe because of weather. This is the other way to "skin the cat." Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching.
Because the car is so low I found it easier not to remove the wheel. My floor jack does not fit. Sure I could use my lift, but then I would have to have set it up for this. This was relatively easy and the way most people would need to accomplish the task.

Great tip! Love it when viewers share their ideas. Happy to hear that the video inspired you. Thanks for watching!
Just curious, wouldn’t it be easier just to cut the fender liner, into pieces, to get it out of the wheel well?
@@lostwhirley You could run the risk of cutting something you don't want cut.

Good advice. Thanks!
