Not gonna lie i am a fan of nekko depending on how she moves on with the situation that could all change tho...
But i didn't include this in the video but i dont believe she even had to reply to the comment the larger creator made or even that whole video i feel like we could've all moved on [or atleast i would've]
Another thing i still dont know who the larger creator is as nekko turned of her comments so i couldn't look for it .i dont like assuming and accusing anyone of making that comment. And if yall can don't share it in my comments as again i dont want any false info and wanna keep the person anonymous..
    Thank you ❤
*edit* thank you all for the comments especially the paragraph comments i love the way yall express your opinions and disagreements.
Also for the transphobia claims i am not trying to defend what owonekko did my misgendering this person i honestly just dont personally believe that is transphobic its rude and petty what she did . I believe nekko could have done more research on the larger creator before doing what she did she mentioned in her response that she was unaware of the persons pronuns but she i believe she could have just used they/them to refer to the larger creator.A lot of comments also put into perspective how nekko was being transphobic here so for anyone reading this read through the comments below and comment yourself 😊 i love reading your comments i know i keep saying this but i really do reading your prespective helps me a lot ❤❤❤
Again thank you thank you thank you for commenting i love reading them and will continue to do so ❤❤❤ also also also i would like to bring attention to the appology she made on her community post where she covers everything XD i wanna hear ur opinions on that as well

She was absolutely acting transphobically by misgendering and doubling down . That doesnt mean she is a definite transphobe or that she cant improve , but lets call it what it is and not heem and haaw over it , especially with her reaction to being corrected

hey! trans person here! knowingly misgendering someone is being rude and/or bigoted to them for being trans! this is because refusing to use the right pronouns when you know what they are and/or have been corrected on what the correct ones are is inherently disrespectful to someones gender identity (cis or trans) and is *inherently* transphobic. what nondi did *was transphobic.* her lack of a proper apology only makes it even more clear.
also, yes, knowingly misgendering a cisgender person is also transphobic-since cis people are only misgendered when presumed to be trans. no matter how you cut it, *purposely* misgendering someone-which is what nondi did by deleting corrections and doubling down on misgendering-is nothing but pure transphobia. denying only supports said transphobia. do better.
p.s it being "anonymous" means nothing because people were able to notice that nondi was misgendering them. the fact she got caught misgendering which is required for her to be corrected makes the "it was anon" bit completely utterly worthless and meaningless. it wasnt anonymous, people knew who it was *immediately.* if it was anonymous no one would be able to call her transphobic for she/her-ing a he/they.

Hey I wanna say thank you for commenting and putting it into view how nondi was being transphobic here I'm still trying my best to do as much research on this topic, that's why I devoted a small section of the video to the transphobic claims as I was going by definition (transphobia is a fear or hatred of trans ppl ) so this comment really puts it into perspective how harmful nekko was being, on her saying that she kept the person anonymous I still dont know who the creator is hence why I decided to use they/them instead of he/they one thing I don't get is why nodi didn't just refer to the larger creator with they/them pronouns as its more generalized and keeps the person actually anonymous. Again thank you for commenting ❤

It IS transphobic and is what we call a micro-aggression. You shouldn't be getting your definitions of real things from twitter. Google could help you more.

im pretty sure she said something about not wanting to use the correct pronouns for a “horrible person” too…??? like what horrible person???? they’re disagreeing with her opinion and that then makes them horrible…?

There a minute long video called *OwOnekko's Outburst: Archived* where she says the Jouusta thumbnail lied because she didnt say *"AI is Good"* so she's allowed to make a defamatory response too
Even if she was right, putting these two thumbnails on equal footing is insane & a line has been crossed because accusing someone of being racist carries more weight than the events that came before that point.

  • @eldritch-tailedfeydeer7320

One of the big reasons why people got mad at her AI video was because it was fully monitized despite it being AI generated, just as an FYI.

I've seen several nekko videos & I think her fans having a problem with Ai is valid, but her response has been very disappointing.
She strikes me as someone who grew up on the trenches of Twitter - behaving like a debate bro with a fight to win mentality, when the stakes of apologizing were so low.
She made really entertaining videos & was respected by the community so it sucks to see pettiness ruin that.
I feel like the accusations went a little too far & I wish she'd kept the A.I music private

I kind of skimmed through the some of the live, I didnt finish it because most of what I saw was just her and her boyfriend(?) (peopke keep saying its her boyfriend) making fun of the comments in the live, but at some point she does mention the thumbnail, and her reason for making the thumbnail like that was because on Jouustas vid, she has Nekko say that 'AI is Good' in the thumbnail, which Nekko says is a lie and that her opinion is neutral so she decided that sense she 'lied' in the thumbnail, she was going to do the same which led to... That... So yeah it seemed to mostly be a joke on Nekkos part.

it's still an absolutely deplorable joke. Accusing someone of being a racist is a HUGE step up from accusing someone of supporting AI art. It's crazy to me that she ever thought going on twitter/youtube and bullying people was a good response to valid and RESPECTFUL criticism!

As a trans person, not using the right pronouns for someone IS transphobic. It's literally purposefully ignoring the actual identity of someone, hurts us trans people, and even if we don't show it misgendering us can destroy us. Nekko could have just used they/them pronouns and it would have been FINE. They/them is neutral and would have been taken so much better then just guessing the pronouns the way they did. Nekko even uses they/them pronouns! (She/they on their insta) It should not have been so hard to do.

  • @I_missthesage
    @I_missthesage 3 месяца назад +14

OwOneko was being transphobic by purposefully misgendering someone after being corrected. I could understand someone just not knowing. But she continued to use the wrong pronouns for them after being corrected. Not respecting someone’s pronouns is transphobic, by refusing to use someone’s preferred pronouns you are refusing to Acknowledge their identity. Transphobia can come in many forms not just someone saying‘I hate trans people’

    This video is cool
Though I am gonna somewhat disagree with the whole transphobia bit, I can agree in a way that the usage of word is strong. It is still weird of OwONekko to block/delete people just correcting her even if she is hiding the person's identity, It be best either she just use They/Them neutrally while still keeping the person's identity a secret (personally, I use it interchangably but this ain't about me.) or explain herself why she is even doing this to begin with. Not explaining it makes it kinda questionable on her end.
I remember one quote from her video saying she hates celebreties cause putting up a front, idk what vid that is but it aged like milk especially if she wants to be her "genuine and authentic" self.
This woman is in her 30s.
    Random but...
What I find more intresting that in her livestream the person who I assume to be her partner or something should also be put into question cause instead of being helping her understand what she is doing is doubling down or telling her to not do this, He decided to egg her on and not even stop her.
    Kinda... weird
Anyways rambling over. Good vid overall

Thank u I actually agree with all of this like it's not that hard to apologize about the misgendering and learn from it I do think the ppl who are around her like her boyfriend should definitely help I this situation or even family cuz nekko just gotta log off and reflect

Transphobia is being bigoted towards a trans person. Period. End of. We do Not coddle people engaging in bigoted behavior when their bigotry does more harm than us being mad at them for it. Absolutely not. This isn't even the first time i disagreed with you in the video, but when you got to that point, I couldn't just brush off my discomfort any longer. Using "different pronouns" to anonymize the creator beyond keeping their gender ambiguous (i.e. by using they/them) is disingenuous at Best. Openly malicious at worst (if she actually knew the preference of the larger creator). But deleting comments correcting her shows that it was done out of malice. Period. End of. Ergo, she is engaging in transphobia. And, as gently as humanly possible: do NOT fall into the anti-sjw trap of "oh everyone calls everything bigoted nowadays!!" without interrogating why your first instinct is to run defense for an accused bigot as opposed to supporting the victim of said bigotry.

Thank god, I thought I was alone in this. As a trans person, being openly misgendered in that way feels VERY transphobic. Sure, it can happen accidentally once. But if you're being corrected and delete the comments of those correcting you it IS transphobic
God, I thought I was going insane, thanks for putting my thoughts into words, dude

@@TBG1 No problem. That, and the assertion that one must always be "respectful" when airing out their grievances with someone engaging in poor faith bothered me. Felt too close to an argument for respectability politics for comfort. The fallacious idea that, in order for one's arguments to be afforded due consideration, they must meet an arbitrary standard of "proper" conduct and politeness. Especially when the video creator already seems to be affording nekko more leniency than she deserves. That is a grown woman. And conflating criticism with "harassment" is weird to begin with. If anything, I feel we've been throwing "harassment" around loosely, more than accusations of transphobia. Specifically when it comes to people's problematic faves having to take accountability for their actions.

I honestly understand but again me personally i cant call owonekko transphobic for being a rude and petty person unless she has extensive history of actively behaving like this towards trans pp outside of this situation. Thank u for commenting I honestly happy you are able to share your thoughts here ❤

    • @ritternacht
      @ritternacht 3 месяца назад +18

@@Nightybunny._. As respectfully as possible, even if I could change your mind, it's not for you to decide that something is or isn't transphobic.
To be honest? Even if being transphobic was her idea of being petty, the fact that she thought a form of bigotry is acceptable behavior when she feels slighted reveals the fact she doesn't actually take bigotry against a marginalized community seriously. Which I'd argue is blatant transphobia. It kinda shows that she believes the right to basic respect and consideration can be revoked from trans people the second they piss her off. Something I'd argue she's never done to a cis person. It's a p obvious form of discrimination. Even if you don't want to call it what it is. It isn't as much of a reach as you believe.
Having said that, I feel I should clarify that one being bigoted / being accused of bigotry does Not mean they are an irredeemable monster. And I feel as if people are hesitant to call things as they are due to the idea that once someone is accused of bigotry, they can never recover. But that, on its face, is the wrong way to think about bigotry. It prioritizes someone's perception of themself as a "good" or "bad" person over the harm said person is doing, which is unproductive in any discussion about the subject. Whether you understand that or not.
And that's all I'll say about it, for now.

@@ritternacht Ditto. All around. Her reaction to being corrected being to block the people is very suspicious to me that she's being intentionally transphobic. A lot more trans people have experienced that form of bigotry than the standard, "you'll always be a woman/man" and or "Dur basic biology" talking points.

Idk u can disagree with my opinion lmao.
