- There's only a few things to this run. First, don't high score (i.e. beat the third place score) on any stage besides the last one, or else you lose several seconds to the high score notification. That's why on Stage 4 and 5 I intentionally flub or don't do lines - I got really close to scoring too many points. Second, you don't want to flunk out of a song or go Cool. Finally, mash as well as you can between the songs.
I reset my PS2 after every attempt because a few load times slow down if you keep on doing attempts.
Played on PS2 Model SCPH-39001 with Fast Disc Speed
P.S. I thought the game was crashing with that glitch on Stage 6 D:

@@LitrlyMeowtoothdude wtf no you didnt, no kid in the late 90s was good enough to clear stage 6 of ujl. The game is a lot harder than it looks, you're obviously lying. Nobody beats level 6 easily without entering cool mode, and most players dont know how to enter cool mode on their first playthrough

Fast Menus, not high scoring, and fast load times. In Parappa the Rapper 2, you can actually skip portions of a few songs by entering and exiting Cool at the right time. That's probably not a thing in UJL because there is no "Lesson" transition like in PTR

All you gotta do is play the game well. The speedrun is mainly at how fast you can mash start when the cutscene starts

I've never had that glitch on stage6 but I've had a glitch on the last stage as parappa where you would drop from good to awful instantly but that was a very good and stable run
I thought the original cutscene for Stage 6 was faster.

you dont have to intentionally mess up on lines if you get fever mode 3 times on every stage for the high score
I do kind of hope the Speedruns can get below 15 minutes because it can make the game convincing

Is it true the game lags slightly when changing rankings? I've never olayed on PS2 but on PS1 emulator It was pretty noticable. even more so with PTR.

Why do t hit cool and kust win?
Might be faster, might be slower for certain stages. Depends on how transitioning to cool works. I never looked deeply into that, so I just went with regular play. Also, to enter and stay cool would mean the high scores need to be higher to compensate.
PaRappa the Rapper 2, there are a couple of songs you want to enter cool to make the ending dialog faster. I have no idea about PtR 1 or UJL.
