Stone Coat Countertops awesome need our garage floor done. However not going to invent the wheel. I’ll let my Mike handle that one. 🤣👍🏻 Happy Easter to the beautiful family🐰
How well does this hold up.. say parking a 4,000 pound vehicle on it and turn the wheels on it when pulling in and out?
Thank you Angie'sartstudio2019! Happy Easter to you as well!
Do you have a video on prepping a floor that's part slab and part wood/underlayment? I"ve a kitchen that I want to put printed/clearcoated sheets on...? Many thanks for any recommendations!

Is your business working out for you. I was thinking the same thing, i have never heard or seen this type of applications before i think many people would be interested, especially if you can do kitchen worktops etc

It's beautiful. Looked like a cloud effect. I've moved into an apartment now, so there is very little I could do. உங்கள் வேலைப்பாடு மிக அருமை நீங்கள் சொல்லிய விதமும் எனக்கு நன்றாகப் புரிந்தது
This guy gives us so many things we can make out of epoxy that I could build a house and everything in it with epoxy
2 questions:
1. what would you have done if the moisture test hadn't been so dry?
2. I know other videos you talk about warming not only the epoxy before mixing, but the space. Have you ever done a basement floor? I would LOVE to do mine -- or event just the laundry and/or bathroom area in the basement -- but it really doesn't get above about 60 down there!
I know this video is a couple years old now, but please keep up the amazing work! this makes it really feel doable for those of us who aren't pros!
The EXACT same question jumped out at me immediately. I don’t think “I got it” 😂. It’s such a cool material, but I’d love to know how viable it is in an inherently more moisture-prone part of my home.
@@Jbach1612 You'll need to install a Moisture vapor barrier epoxy previous the presented system here!
This video has been recommend to me for months and it’s been driving me nuts

Looks amazing and so fun to do.
How durable is the floor? My wife said it reminds her of a stormy sky. Beautiful job man! Also if you get a chance I would love a video telling your story. How you got into the business and became an epoxy master.
Russell Nentwich hey Russell! I did my office in stonecoat flooring and it’s super sturdy! Even holds up against my 4 kids, my dog and me doing projects!
To learn more about Mike, I recently got a copy of his book, tells a lot about him and his company! You can find the book and stuff on their website too. :).
Cheers!
@multicraft mom thanks for the reply. I will have to get the book.
Questions: How is durability? How to repair if needed? What are limitations of locations of use (kitchen, bath, work room, laundry, etc) if any? How difficult to remove (should you want to change it or sell house?

I'd would say its pretty decent durability working in a diesel shoot for few years an year at that job they did the whole shop floor with new epoxy and was there for a couple years after they did it. It can chip from dropping heavy shit on it like a semi truck drum or hub assembly but it dies really crack just chip a bit and not even all the way throw tho biggest thing we learned is don't use a acetylene torch without a fire blacker or something under what you are torching if face that torch at the ground it will leave a burn pretty easily and pretty noticeable lol it didn't melt but service manager if the shop wasn't the happiest but to be far he was there watching us and helping is trying to heat up and bend the piece shit we was trying to fix so he wasn't happy but couldn't bitch that much lmfao
Bowlingball style nice
Love the videos. What about a wood sub floor for a mobile home would i have to wire lathe it and do a floor leveler or can you use the floor patch with mesh for the joints ?
Joe caban wood expands and contracts I dont think the epoxy would do well in those conditions it may endup cracking
Wow amazingly stunning love
Awesome vid! Next time could you maybe show more detail on how you made the metallic marbling effect? It seems a bit difficult.
thoyo , you put an even coat of the base colour, in this case the steel grey, then put the accent colour ( pearl here) in small amounts as shown in the video. Then with that small roller, you would gently roll and swirl the accent (pearl) into the base colour. As it sets, it will naturally continue to move and mix, creating that beautiful marbling look. It really is as simple as it looked! Give it a try! I did mine in white pearl base with metallic coffee accent and love it!
Hi Thoyo thank you for this feedback!
If you would like to, give us a call at 541-450-1976 and we can explain in a little more detail how those colors blend and marble!
@@StoneCoatCountertops Thanks a lot. I appreciate your response and professionalism!
It's not to difficult
If I primed and did a metallic epoxy coat, could I than paint a chicago bears emblem, than top coat with the final clear?
Perfect
Great. Maybe I Will need your advices ir tops. Thanks
Amazing like it
Hi I'm in Ghana and I have specialized into for work like concrete stamps and concrete designs but I'm much interested in epoxy
Thank you for the info
I know I'm getting old , 44, bcuz this is so damn interesting. You're gonna have me putting in a new counter top @ 5:30 am & piss my wife off 😂....honestly, shed probably get all into the project. Start ordering me around
I was just thinking the same thing. This is my kind of Friday night party
I bet she would be thrilled!
@@lilolmecj I couldn't put a chair 2gether if if only had 2 pieces Carole 😂. I BET she wouldn't 😂. I be always like art & writing stories ECT. I'm blessed enough to now work in those fields & I'm pretty good @ what I do .....but putting things 2gether AINT it 😂. I'm the type of guy w 50 screws left over when I'm done. 50 Carole 😂. Shed be thrilled if I BROUGHT her one but lol
Easy Going
I don't know who is responsible for this but it is the best goddamn commercial I have ever seen.
Great job, I'm learning with real pleasure. But I've got one request for You: please show proportions in metric scale too, it will be much more handy for many people :) Greetings from Poland
I'd like to update my workshop floor .
How would this work on bare concrete .
I've been trying to get my shop done trying to place wood floors and then make it look like its been around for ever .
But not too long ago I had a medical setback and the project was left setting .
Your product looks easy enough so does the colors include a wood color ?
Looks so beautiful. I am wondering just how strong is the smell?
I do suffer from horrible asthma so for someone like myself, I might need to hire someone to do it 🤷🏻♀️
What about doing epoxy on a plywood floor for a living room for example
My question, exactly.
wood expands and contracts I don't think the epoxy would be ideal for that particular surface, may endup cracking
Epoxy will work fine. Wooden boats, bar tops and car dashboards use epoxy all the time. If you prep the plywood by sanding, concealing nails/screws, and using all-in-one paint and primer, it should turnout great. Dan may have some videos using plywood. Check it out.
Val Bailey boats use urethane not epoxy and I've never seen a dashboard with epoxy, epoxy doesn't do well under the sun, I don't know where you getting that information
You can definitely do epoxy on plywood floors. The biggest thing is prepping the floor so that it's ready for the epoxy stage. Take your time sanding down the area and patching different holes, etc. Also, plywood floor is unique because it's breathable. Usually this is a good thing, but when it comes to epoxy you do not want any moisture coming up through the plywood into the epoxy...or being breathable at all. So, the best thing to do is prime your plywood so that it seals all moisture out.
I like it
Awesome job and I really like how you explained it. I can see doing one of our floors in the future. Thanks guys.
First of all I want to thank you for taking the time of making the video.
Would you tell us how much do you charge per sf? Labor only and labor/materials.
Thank you in advance
You answered the question about applying over a tile floor , but there are several questions about applying to wooden sub floors in the comments that was just ignored. Just curious why this is
Not many manufactures have the appropriate wood specific epoxy used for priming over plywood. but there are products out there.
Good Question?

"We don't want a bunch of air"
Shows bucket full of meringue...lol
Not gonna lie I only clicked because I saw the thumbnail and thought Nike released some crazy air max plus boot😂
Looks like Tyler's Golf le Fleur shoes!
Ugly ass dude lmao
You must be a black
Do you have any videos doing it over tile in a kitchen?
Thank you Mike!
You got it!
I watched this whole video and wasn't even thrilled with the results
Its going to be the modern version of the wallpaper fad... cringe.
I love these floors, but how do you clean up things beyond rollers and the squeegee? Can you reuse buckets and mixing tubs?
would it be possibe to do a floor in two stages so one half of a room then the other half? thanks for your great videos!
nice
Wow nice work . Can join your company
Beautiful results! What is this floor like to live with? Is it slippery? Thinking of doing a bathroom with this, but don't want to create a fall hazard. Thoughts?
