    2 questions:
    1. what would you have done if the moisture test hadn't been so dry?
    2. I know other videos you talk about warming not only the epoxy before mixing, but the space. Have you ever done a basement floor? I would LOVE to do mine -- or event just the laundry and/or bathroom area in the basement -- but it really doesn't get above about 60 down there!
    I know this video is a couple years old now, but please keep up the amazing work! this makes it really feel doable for those of us who aren't pros!

      The EXACT same question jumped out at me immediately. I don’t think “I got it” 😂. It’s such a cool material, but I’d love to know how viable it is in an inherently more moisture-prone part of my home.

      I'd would say its pretty decent durability working in a diesel shoot for few years an year at that job they did the whole shop floor with new epoxy and was there for a couple years after they did it. It can chip from dropping heavy shit on it like a semi truck drum or hub assembly but it dies really crack just chip a bit and not even all the way throw tho biggest thing we learned is don't use a acetylene torch without a fire blacker or something under what you are torching if face that torch at the ground it will leave a burn pretty easily and pretty noticeable lol it didn't melt but service manager if the shop wasn't the happiest but to be far he was there watching us and helping is trying to heat up and bend the piece shit we was trying to fix so he wasn't happy but couldn't bitch that much lmfao

    • @multicraftmom2602
      @multicraftmom2602 5 лет назад

      thoyo , you put an even coat of the base colour, in this case the steel grey, then put the accent colour ( pearl here) in small amounts as shown in the video. Then with that small roller, you would gently roll and swirl the accent (pearl) into the base colour. As it sets, it will naturally continue to move and mix, creating that beautiful marbling look. It really is as simple as it looked! Give it a try! I did mine in white pearl base with metallic coffee accent and love it!

      Val Bailey boats use urethane not epoxy and I've never seen a dashboard with epoxy, epoxy doesn't do well under the sun, I don't know where you getting that information

      You can definitely do epoxy on plywood floors. The biggest thing is prepping the floor so that it's ready for the epoxy stage. Take your time sanding down the area and patching different holes, etc. Also, plywood floor is unique because it's breathable. Usually this is a good thing, but when it comes to epoxy you do not want any moisture coming up through the plywood into the epoxy...or being breathable at all. So, the best thing to do is prime your plywood so that it seals all moisture out.

    You answered the question about applying over a tile floor , but there are several questions about applying to wooden sub floors in the comments that was just ignored. Just curious why this is

      Not many manufactures have the appropriate wood specific epoxy used for priming over plywood. but there are products out there.

    I love these floors, but how do you clean up things beyond rollers and the squeegee? Can you reuse buckets and mixing tubs?

    Beautiful results! What is this floor like to live with? Is it slippery? Thinking of doing a bathroom with this, but don't want to create a fall hazard. Thoughts?
