I like how every six months my algorithm decides that i need to know about more horse related controversy and recommends me something from this channel .
Lmao. Frrrr. Every once in a while my algorithm is like “here’s a controversy from years ago” and I’m like damnnn what do you mean that person was actually a groomer and lit the white house on fire while holding a puppy hostage??
My 11 year old gelding Tiger, is a horse I bred myself. When he was three days old, he all of a sudden got really lethargic, and couldn't walk. I called the vet immediately, and because it was the weekend (isn't it always??) The vet on call came out, not my regular vet, and this one specialised in cows. He gave him a couple of shots, and said he would feel better within a few hours. He didn't feel better, and he just laid there in his stall, waiting to die it seemed- I called the vet back, and said this foal needs intravenous fluids NOW - he said it wasn't necessary, and that I was overreacting- I said "I dont give a shit - he needs it, and he needs it now!" So the vet came, set it all up, and left me to deal with it.... and of course I was right - after some time, he perked up to his normal bratty self again. When he was about 6 or 7, he was stabled at a riding school, where this same vet came out to see a horse - i said hi to him, and asked me if he remembered Tiger - he said Wauw, he is alive? I didn't think he would make it that day" This is just to show, how important hydration and fluids are on the little ones - had I not insisted, and followed my gut feeling, Tiger would not be here today
Yes!!!! Proper foal treatment!! People must not realize that although still a horse, foals are about as delicate as a 2 year old kid. We have a foal, Harley, and we noticed that even 5 days after he was born we couldn’t see his bits and made a vet appointment immediately! Luckily she knows us as she diagnosed scar tissue in my mares eye (long story) Everything was a-okay with him but I swear some people just don’t realize that foals are literally like newborn children
She says the people who responded to her are "disgusting" but let's be real, who's more disgusting, a person trying to politely tell her that she messed up or a person that killed an innocent foal just by ignorance and negligence?
That damn woman better go to hell for killing an innocent being😡💢 I seriously CANNOT believe how people are so twisted and cruel with the innocent animals😭😭😭....
@@Imdying47 no one is talking bout being perfect. We talking bout a person being ignorant and killing an animal while calling people pointing this out "disgusting". This ain't nothing bout perfection my guy
Also, her foal has been losing weight for the past couple weeks and was COVERED in botflies! Could you talk about how Pearl cut open her chest and only cold hosed it! No antibiotics or anything! Her facility is barbed wire and tposts so that’s how she hurt herself. There is sooo much on this woman, I can’t even.
Yo! What’s wrong with t-posts? This is a genuine question since I’ve personally never heard about them being bad around horses, we have a few around our place (only on corners and 90° angles really)
@@azzurradagenheart8370 theyre really easy for a horse to injure themselves on. Mine are in barbedwire/tposts fencing but they never go anywhere near the edges. its 75 acres so they've got plenty other places to go. tposts/barbedwire in smaller pastures though, i wouldnt do.
Nothing wrong with tposts if they have hot wire/tape running through them to prevent horses from messing with them. The problem is barbed wire. It should NEVER be used around horses(or at all, in my opinion)! I’ll add that tpostx and hot wire/tape should be used on a case by case basis, some horses are to hot for it and will blow right through it without a care that it’s electric
She’s done so many awful things like lying about breeding her mare with PSSM1, giving her old senior gelding bute before barrel races so that he would be sound, riding her long yearlings etc. thank you for bringing awareness to her negligence, she doesn’t deserve a platform when she is so awful to her horses.
@@carolinehodgkiss2274 i worked in dog sled racing. isn't every dog that has died in the iditarod due to negligence and naivety? And race horses too for that matter? And is it only cruelty once the animal has died? I think all racing should be banned. Its very much like animal fighting. Breeding and training animals to try and win a thing. Its like a primitive form of gambling or something.
@@doggodoggo3000 I don’t think that all racing of all disciplines should be banned, but yes, some racing should be banned like horse racing (like the Kentucky Derby type of horse racing) but not exactly all racing like Barrel Racing, or Steeplechasing etc. I am a Barrel Racer my self, and a lot of us take care of our horses. Yes, there are some barrel racers that neglect there horses, but not everyone. Sorry for the rant, just wanted to clarify this.
@@AL_barrelracing Thats called confirmation bias..... thats the whole problem here. I know barrel racers and steeple chase racers too. They are good people who take care of their animals. The steeplechase race is a big deal here I have been loads of times. Never thought that much about it. But then I got a job in dog sled racing. At the winning level. And I did it for several years Met all of the people. And it all sorta clicked for me. Theres plenty of good people involved in dog sled racing. But that doesnt mean its not a cruel activity. Same with barrel racing. Same with steeplechase. Same with lots of animal sports. But all racing disciplines work exactly the same. And they all reward the wrong kind of behavior. Need to get away from that word. "racing" What is interesting about seeing which animal is the fastest? We all know what it takes to win. its not even interesting. And its not in the best interest of the animals If people want to travel with their animals and run barrels thats one thing. But racing is another thing entirely. Like the iditarod doesn't have to disappear. It needs to quit being a race. If it was just a trail that would be way cooler. The competitive BS just ruins it.
@@doggodoggo3000 It’s not competitive BS, it’s friendly competition, except for the jack asses who decide to make it unfriendly. I’ve read multiple of ur comments, and pls stop bringing up all of your dog crap. Dogs are so much more different from horses. Make up your mind. Are you going to talk about horses or dogs??
My 44 yo pony has diarrhea because we water his feed down so he can eat due to lack of teeth. We have had him from when he was 5-6 years old. Every horse my grandma has bought to keep we have now. She trained and sold to bigger trainers she trusted. The last horse bred was 14 years ago except my sister's foal and the foal who passed. This girl clearly did not help her foal
@@HoldingMoneyRansom no she did not. But it’s crazy to begin with because the way it looks is that she was treating the diarrhea as a disease itself and overloading on that pepside didn’t help either. That poor foal

Pearls mother was probably devastated and wondering why Jenny wasn’t helping her baby. Rest In Peace Pearl, she’ll get her proper care wherever she is now.
@@ilona2921 Hopefully she does, my Clydesdale mare didn't after her foal had to be put down. (Unfortunately I was too young to remember what exactly happened to him)
As someone who worked as a vet tech for Ohio state university’s equine hospital I’m absolutely shaking my head. There’s no vet with a brain that would ever say: oh it’s a cold. Without physically seeing it. We never ever diagnose like that over the phone, especially with young animals. I’d love to contact her vet and see the records because I’m the unlikely event she’s telling the truth the vet is just as guilty as she is for the foal’s death.
As someone who's lost a foal to Impaction colic, Pepto doesn't solve everything. Our vet checked the filly and just said to keep an eye on her thinking it was an upset tummy from drinking too much milk. Next day we recalled the vet and ended up heading to St Hy's (vet university that takes them in and each horse gets a full team of vets within Montreal Canada). She was there for 4 hours under super vision, fluids and even a getting ultrasounds done every hour. She was 21 days so just old enough for surgery. That's when we found out she had hay and grain stuck in her colon. We were informed that impaction colic wasn't extremely common, especially at that age as they tend to have teeth of some sort. Her internal walls were infected and some even dead. We came to the decision that since she had less than 5% chance at survival of surgery and her internal walls bein infected it would be best to put her down. Does that mean we didn't do everything we could. No, we tried and followed what vets recommended was best for her. Now what was the point of me telling that story, well it's what leads me to believe personally that Jenny Goodnight aka Qhperfection absolutely did not even attempt to help pearl. Pearl absolutely could've been helped and had the amount of pepto given reversed. Jenny neglected a very beautiful foal and lead to Pearl's death. Shall we mention that when Pearl was injured to the point of needing stitches Jenny wrote it off as a spot that "even with stitches it would constantly pull them out due to location" and never even tried to have a vet stitch it or give antibiotics to Pearl. She simply cold hosed which would never be enough to fully stop an infection. The whole situation comes down to Jenny Goodnight being ignorant and ignoring her foals health. Severely hope someone reports her to animal control or a rescue.
Registered Veterinary Nurse here. Takes at least 2 weeks to get lab results back minimum especially right now. Cancer does NOT grow that fast and kill. Babies of all species, cannot regulate their own body temp or hydration levels. Very important that you have a DVM do an exam for vomiting, diarrhea, not eating in any baby under a year old. Sad when you see preventable deaths due to owner negligence or ignorance.
I did some researching myself on pepto-bismol use for foals. I came across several veterinary articles on it. Pepto-bismol can be safely used on foals, but generally *only* if the case is severe and IV fluids and other medications haven't resolved the issue. Even then it is given about 20-30 mL per *100 lbs* , this foal was given well over 100x that. After giving you are supposed to very closely monitor manure output, which she did not do either.
question, i'm not defending the owner's actions or anything, but the average QH is at least 100lbs at birth and this is not a new born foal, closer to 1-2 month based on the photo so if this is a QH foal it should be around 200lbs (2 mo old foals weigh between 230-330lbs based on mature body weight of 900-1300lbs respectively) which would be 60 ml dose that we saw given in the screenshot. Not sure where you got your numbers from
@@musiclives43v3r where do you get those numbers from? I count in kg btw so no idea about lbs. I do think you assume QH foals are bigger than others? I have worked at a Paint and QH breeding and training farm and I can tell you they are not. Breeding both reining and pleasure, smaller and taller horses. And they look like another foal of their height.
@@inwe1205 I think they got the numbers from the comment they replied to? 20-30ml per 100 pounds does equate to 40-60ml per 200lbs. Im also more familiar with kg than pounds so I googled the dosage as well, and I got to around about the same weight for foal and the same dosage for that given weight, which is the dosage seen in that screenshot. I'm also confused there about the math that "this foals was given well over 100x that"
It is also the same toxicity as Asprin, also a salicylates NOT that you would even think about dosing any equine with aspirin. Although in humans you can give up to 30 to 60 mls in one hour. So giving the foal the same amount would NOT be an overdose. A foal that looks about 120 kgs. AGAIN an Aussie and never heard of this for horses, BUT if a vet prescribes this then I do understand why they would. It does suppose to in humans. 1 increase the amount of fluid in the intestines. ( a negative) in this situation. 2 Calms down the activity in the intestines by easing inflammation. 3 Slowing down prostaglandin, ( which is the cause of some inflammation.) 4 Blocking some bacteria( sorry off the top of my head cannott remotely remember, but some bacteria's that can cause diarrhea in this instance. Health science lecturer before retirement. . So this woman had information, BUT NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION. SADLY. You really should never breed horses unless you are prepared to LEARN ALL YOU CAN ABOUT EVERYTHING. There is no excuse for ignorance, and by ignorance add hock remedies not fully understood. A rappour with your vet is a must. I have known my vet for 35 years yup 35 years, she knows the amount of knowledge I have and does not make unnecessary visits, she knows though If I am worried they come out. But my human exsperience has actually helped her out too. She will actually send students out to my place ( to see how a real horse lady looks after her horses( and pasture) She lectures at the uni now so it's a complement. I think people often only get half the story, and it's dangerous giving out opinions of what has been posted on social media. It all turns into a witch hunt. No way am I standing up for this woman, I have never met her or seen her set up, or seen her breeding program or understand one little bit what happened to this foal. It's SAD BUT NO ONE KNOWS THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS FOAL. Therefore no one should be doing an uninformed comment on the story taken from snippitts gleaned from social media, it's dangerous and irresponsible, especially if you set yourself up as an equestrian influencer. Sorry long answer, but as a supposed vet tech( that takes three years uni study her in Australia, I find it difficult to believe the author of this blog is a fully trained vet technition. As well as a trainor, barn manager and so many other qualifications she claims to have. Sorry to sound negative, but I find ill informed trashing of some one very wrong indeed.
The baby probably had worms as well. She doesn’t believe in worming them until they are weaned, and she weans them 7-8. The foal had botfly eggs as well.
Guys there are so many elements to this story as I said in the beginning of my video. However for legal reasons I can’t talk about hearsay when it comes to accusing someone of killing/neglecting their animal. Because she deleted her account it was nearly impossible for me to document her side of these scenarios which I have to do if I am to give my objective opinion.❤️
Tonya here, THANKS for the information on this problem, there is people who don't know any different your putting a life in danger without knowing what damage you can create
Raleigh, EVERY point you made in the video is solid, irrefutable, and so g.d. true! I don't really know horses, but with my medical background and experience with exotics [I've performed necropsies, for example - on reptiles], I was shouting at the video, like, I'm pretty sure 3 hours is a _long_ time [bet it was well longer, too!] for your _baby mammal_ to be sick & lethargic! What "wait to see if it gets worse"?! It needs a vet NOW! A _real_ vet, not the "DIY with your medicine cabinet or herb garden" BS! Diarrhoea is still a major killer of _HUMANS_ round the world! But I guess Karen doesn't know that the Global South is still a thing, and luckily doesn't have to know what cholera is. Smdh. You know why 1 in 5 Victorian kids [after the slim odds of surviving birth] didn't make it to their 1st birthday? _DIARRHOEA!_ Their smaller bodies just don't last when losing water and electrolytes _fast._ Babies (baby humans, I mean) can pass within mere hours! And round the turn of the last century, the vast majority of these deaths were from 2 highly communicable and deadly diseases: cholera [which spreads in water, in filthy streets, in the workhouses] and bovine TB [from tainted milk and unclean bottles, cork stoppers, & sheepgut tubes/mouthpieces - it doesn't affect the human respiratory tract like "bog standard" TB.] I'm obviously not saying the horse had either of those, just that diarrhoea kills, a lot.
Cancelling her social media accounts won't make her invisible to an investigator with Animal Services looking into her actions as possibly causing the foals death... Hopefully, that will happen.
I work in an oncology office. It takes several weeks to get proper CT or other diagnostic imaging scans done, and then a couple more weeks for a biopsy. Definitely this young horse did not have colon cancer. Not to mention how extremely rare it is for any animal or person to get colon cancer so young.
Negative to colon cancer. Irrelevant in a foal. But equine veterinarians carry most diagnostic equipment with them and can perform diagnostics on site. Ct and mri is also available in larger clinics. Wait time? Max 5 days. This is probably a simple case of misdiagnosed colic which could easily have been treated by any decent veterinarian.
This just happened this week. I used to follow her until all of this happened. I couldn’t believe she didn’t take the foal to the vet ASAP. Everyone else I follow who has foals takes them at the slightest sign of poor health. I feel so bad for Pearl.
I couldn't even imagine. My horse a a foal 4/20. And had foal check right away, everything looks normal. By that even, he was axting a little off, with rolling and staining. Called vet, tried one thing the vet said to do, another enema, and ran him to the hospital at OSU. Colic cleared in the trailer, but he stayed for 34 hours for a lot of dollars. Reunited with mom really well(milked her every few hours, even drove to go milk her at 3am). I couldnt even imagine not doing everything in my responsibility to treat, a baby especially.
If the foal wasn't nursing, she should have been trying to give it a bottle then called the vet. It was lethargic because it had no fluids at all if e wasn't nursing
The most accurate and logical explanation for what happened to this foal. Unfortunately animals don't have the luxury of choosing their owners, this foal got an inexperienced one, who was way too stubborn to seek veterinary assistance. Very sad 😥.
Normal person: "my animal is sick, better get a professional to help" Qhperfection: "ayo it's pepto time" 🤪🤪 If you can't care for your animals, you should not be allowed to have them. I can't imagine neglecting my critters like that. My cat hurt his paw recently and I've been calling every vet I can find to get him seen.
Most people can’t afford veterinary care… so, we just give them the best life possible, and if something happens, we bring them to the emergency room… we don’t have regular check ups, or anything, because it’s so godly expensive, we paid like- 300+ dollars on a very small procedure on my cat, (he’s happy and healthy now) The problem is, animal health care is so expensive, that even the middle class people cannot afford it, let alone handle their costs of living. We cannot afford rent, we cannot afford a house, we cannot afford groceries because of rent, we cannot afford to buy anything for ourselves, like video games etc… but we make it a priority that the cats are well-fed and taken care of, as their lives are added to our cost of living.
@@meadowfeather176 sharing this here because I learned about it recently myself and it's helped so so much. Check to see if your insurance company offers pet insurance you can bundle. I got a p good plan that was $20 more a month, but there's absolutely more affordable options to pick. They usually include a certain number of paid/copay wellness checks each year. Though it's really expensive to cover chronic issues, it's also great for accidentals. I had to take my cat to the vet cause he would not stop throwing up. Would have cost me $100 but they reimbursed so that I only really paid $25. Ik it's not always an option for people money wise, but def more worth it if you have a senior pet or kitten/puppy.
@@meadowfeather176Pretty sure Jenny could have afforded the vet bill, hell, even ask her followers for donations (dunno if it would have worked, I’m just saying it was something she could have done if she truly cared) instead of calling others disgusting for telling her she messed up…
My 2 cents as a veterinary technician who worked for a theriogenologist….she never spoke to a vet. No vet, as stated in the video, would say to give a foal 60cc of pepto. When I had goals with chronic diarrhea for some reason they got biosponge powder mixed with 10cc of pepto and then water to make a paste that could be syringed into the mouth. It’s impossible she got any sort of biopsy done and resulted overnight. Even if the foal was at a hospital you wouldn’t have results the next morning. She made a bad choice and didn’t seek professional Heath and lost her foal because of that.
Honestly, if you know little to no information on how to care for your horse, to breed them correctly, riding correctly, and just things you should already know when owning a horse, you should wait to get a horse and keep learning. I'm 12, and my mother asked me if I thought I was ready to get a horse. I thought about it and immediately said no, because I knew I didn't know enough about horses to have one. If a 12 year old knows that they shouldn't own a horse until they know what they're doing, then you shouldn't either. Period.
I never thought I’d wake up to hear about a baby horse passing away. As a person who was born on the Year of the Horse (2002, I’m Vietnamese), it’s just sad. Horses are magnificent creatures. My condolences go out to Pearl. RIP.
When I see most Instagram accounts that are about any sort of pet, and something happens to the said pet where they get sick and need immediate help, the owners usually set up a go fund me or ask for suggestions before doing anything. If QHPerfection couldn't even spare $200 dollars to save Pearl or even spare an hour to ask questions they she doesn't need to own horses to begin with, the mare she has isn't in good hands seeing that she didn't give a shit about Pearl's health in the long run.
I remember that my grandma once told me that my grandpa had bought a foal for almost nothing and the foal was very ill (she said it looked almost dead). It had fly larvae eating the foal’s flesh and she treated for the larvae and the foal herself and it turned out that the foal got better and grew to be a beautiful horse. He was sold again though, I think it’s because my grandpa sold the farm too.
My uncle is also a livestock vet, and it really seems crazy how fast they have to get to the animal that’s having issues. Mad respect. (Side note, he does mostly dairy cows, we live in Wisconsin)
I worked at an equine emergency hospital that is very well known. In some cases we did give pepto and it was 60ml, if not more (bigger foals). Obviously they were on other medications and most likely fluids as well depending on each case. I do believe the foal should have been hospitalized for monitoring and medications.
Babies of any kind (or adult animals, for that fact) need to be seen by a vet the moment you have symptoms present. Animals mask pain and illness very well, so if you see any type of discomfort or weird stools or vomiting, call a vet immediately and tell them all the symptoms, no matter how small the change is
How awful. I didn’t realize this was so common. My co-worker’s fiancée committed suicide shortly after receiving her DVM in 2015. Thank you for spreading awareness.
Rest in Peace Pearl. To Pearl's mom I am sorry for your loss and that you have such a horrible owner. Somebody needs to recuse those poor horses because all that horrible owner cares about is money.
I couldn't agree more! My mare wasn't acting herself so I made an appointment even our vet thought it was just an off day....but I know my horse I had her blood tested anyway for Lyme and sure enough positive...$683.68 later she's now on medication and starting to feel better. Sucked spending that money (she literally just came home from a 30 day tune-up with that and lessons I took was over $2000) but she is my responsibility!
In the 70's we had a foal that was going through the same thing. We had a vet out and he walked away saying foal would die. So my mom called our horse trainer he gave her a recipe to give to the foal every 2 hours. So every 2 hours the foal was given it. We did this for 3 days and 3 nights until he was improved. He went on to become a champion show horse. The majority of that recipe was water. So he wouldn't lose ground and further dehydrate .
found your channel earlier this week and i love how blunt and straightforward you are lol. not many animal people have the balls to say "not everyone should have animals period" and i so fucking respect that, ive been saying this for YEARS. love ur stuff
Exactly and animals are so different from us as far as Meds go. My cat was in terrible pain after being spayed and I almost gave her a really tiny amount of calpol (a kids paracetamol liquid ) I'm really glad I didnt as it's really toxic for cats.
We give it to sheep/goats for diarrhea. I think 3 ccs would be about right for an animal that size but I can't remember the exact dosage. A foal may need a different dosage though if they can have it. If its just diarrhea, we normally give them electrolyte water with it and call a vet if the animal gets worse or doesn't clear up within 3 days.
There are definitely times to give a horse pepto (under vet recommendation ONLY), but there just aren't any decent vets that would prescribe Pepto Bismol to a foal. That was also an absolutely insane amount for such a small animal. 60 cc is the dosage you would give a 1,200 lb horse if I'm remembering correctly.
That's because horses, let alone foals cannot, I repeat cannot handle pepto in their systems! There are supplements that are much cheaper for equine use, personally we use keopectate mixed with platinum G1 to help with diarrhea. People like her give us responsible breeders a bad rep. :(
First of all sending prayers for you Raleigh, idk your beliefs but I'm still sending good vibes. Second, ugh I really hate ppl sometimes (most of the time) blatant ignorance is what killed this poor baby. I had at once point thought about breeding my mare, I would definitely have kept the foal for its whole life, but decided against it, I don't want to add yet another animal to the world when there are other foals and young horses that need a good home.
I only own a dog but I’d pay any vet bill to keep her happy and healthy - and she’s surely cost me a lot this past year but she’s worth every penny spent
I hope this comes out the way I want it to. Dehydration is more common than people realize. I am an rn for human beings. I believe that she did not get an autopsy. If she's not gonna spend the money to have a vet actually, lay their eyes on the baby. Then she's not going to have the money to pay for an autopsy. Think about it. She's too cheap. I agree. If you don't have the money to pay for a vet, you shouldn't be trying to play God and bring babies into this world. None of us KNOW, everything we should be able to learn something new and grow as human beings. None of us should claim knowing everything, and here I'm a professional Horsemanship, trainer retired? Yes, but not stupid, I know when to ask for help too. Keep him coming my friend. I enjoy watching your videos and reading the comments.
I’m so sorry you have a mass on your ovaries Raleigh! I struggle with Endometriosis and I’ve had two surgeries because of this. I had scar tissue and cysts removed as well. Sending gentle hugs and good vibes your way! ❤️
When she posted that she basically didn’t care if her horse died or not I kinda think that she killed her horse on purpose so she wouldn’t have to pay anymore money witch is awful
I'm not sure she said she 'didn't care' if the foal was dead. I think she was stating that she wouldn't have been surprised as foals can be touch and go. The insinuation could be perceived though.
Raleigh, you need to make a part two there's so much other stuff you didn't cover now yes you went super and depth on the foal and its health, but there are so many other things wrong with Jenny's riding and abuse, she rides a one year old horses we have evidence of her saying it, she rides the same one-year-old horses and double twisted cross wires we have evidence of her saying it she wears giant Spurs on her horses we have evidence of her posting it and she even pulled the entire bridle their horse's mouth while barrel racing we have evidence of her posting and saying that. Those comments that you add in the beginning of the video to check your DMs include all of that evidence in the group chat "qh perfection evidence"
Part two on every terrible thing she’s done! People need to know how terrible she is, let’s inform people so we don’t repeat history! #justiceforpearlfoal
It's already bad enough that Jenny lives 2 hours away from me but besides that, whenever somebody calls her out about her mistreating her horses in her messages, she always calls them jealous and horrible people. Nobody is jealous of her, we just want her horses to be taken away from her
Raleigh as usual you are spot on and if anything you have taught some people about diarrhea when it comes to foals. I agree with you no Vet was contacted she self diagnosed and got it so wrong. Even if you are going to give a adult horse Pepto it is to be added to the horses daily rations not injected down their mouth in a syringe. You can tell by her own words when she posted about those disgusting human beings " she had a cancer or a tumor in her colon" fact is older horses usually get cancer and that is rare and even more rare is intestinal cancer. 80% of equine cancer is skin cancer or the tissue layer under the skin. She never called the Vet but paid for an autopsy after the foal died I don't believe that at all. If she did have a autopsy she would have know what cancer was in her colon and it not cancer or a tumor. A tumor has to be biopsied to see if it is cancer. That tells you she was to lazy to even google her lie to make it sound believable. Last thing Hagyard Equine Medical Institute says pepto bismol may help with bowel inflammation but not all diarrhea is caused by that. Bentonite Clay is the preferred with an IV fluid hydration.
I don't know enough to say anything about the health issue and about horses and so, I'll leave that to you Raleigh. I can however point out something that sat wrong with me. And it was the wording used in the post. "The vet stated himself that it wouldn't have mattered when she was brought in". Which indicates that if the vet looked at the foal before the treatment, the same conclusion should have been reached and so the treatment would never have taken place. It also indicates for me, even further, that the vet looked at the foal after everything was over most likely. Just from that wording alone. Then what was actually said can easily be skewed to make yourself look innocent, but the wording in itself (again, in for me) shows a hint of what could have happened (not said, just happened)
I am so sorry to hear about the mass on your ovary. I will keep praying for you for a full recovery and a benign result. Thank you so much for your content. I have learned so much from you.
10:04 bro even that’s to much for humans 💀 no for any animal or living thing it is recommended that 30 ml is the max im not a doctor/vet I don’t own a horse but I have common sense to not to give a baby animal 60 ML of pepto
She also made her account privet after all the drama started like 2 months ago, not to mention braking in yearlings in a twisted snaffle bit, then when one reared up over and over again she put him in 'time out' for hours with the bit in.
I am happy that Jenny (qhperfection) is finally being criticized for her poor decisions and inability to listen to reason. She puts herself on a pedestal, and considers herself “untouchable” when it comes to anything horse related, lashing out at everyone who attempts to give her advice. Maybe now she will start to research and listen to professionals in regards to horse care and training.
This reminds me of the video years ago on RUclips where a guy had a terminally ill kitten and he drowned it on RUclips for all to see. The guy got such backlash (as he should), claiming “it was going to die anyways.” This reminds me of that :(
That Was A Horribly Sad And Disgusting Story! He Should've Either Call A Veterinarian To Have It Euthanized Peacefully Or Try And Take Care Of The Kitten Till It Passed Away From It's Illness The Fact The He Said "It was gonna die anyways" was a super fucking selfish of him like animals were just objects to throw away when they no longer have a purpose That's Like Carl From Up Just Stabbing Ellie And Abandoning her when carl knows she was going to die anyways Anyways R.I.P To Pearl And The Poor Kitten 💔 🕊
She didn't say she didn't care if the foal lived or died. She said she wouldn't be shocked if it went either way as she also said foals health can change pretty quickly either way. So she is accepting the fact that things can go south.. besides that I agree with all you are saying.
I think you're right, animals and children didn't decide to come into these abusive families and they don't owe anything to anyone, just because they are considered "less important" it doesn't mean they can be killed or mistreated however or whenever you want
Depends on the form of child abuse as most cases a kid may be able to say something but feel like they cant because it leads them to being abused and it depends on the age a toddler and or 4-5 year old is not going to understand what abuse exactly is nor say anything as a young child they're going to see it as a form of discipline or harm that they want to avoid by pleasing their parents and not say anything cause of them not understanding and with sexual abuse you can say something but it's extremely hard to as yes even 13 year olds suffer and feel as if its their fault and they owe the adult. To me it depends on the abuse, age and or situation. And yes abusing a teen is still child abuse. So i would say it should be charged just as bad as if you think about animals are kinda like humans they may not be as smart or speak or advance but they still have emotions families and can feel pain. Although their emotions and feelings are not all similar to humans as most can't understand what regret, guilt or what is truly wrong. They can still feel if that makes sense
I wish, but human abuse is rarely interfered with either. So many cases of people who are abused or try to remove their children from places where they will be abused will be taken to insane asylums, so their word is dismissible in court, and then threatened with permanent confinement if they try to tell people about what really happened again. I know way too much about that and have seen many examples.
@@militarycrosssans6983 I have personally dealt with abuse not towards me but to my brothers brother he got severally beat with a belt for anything he did and I if he cried he would get hit worse but he did speak up and we saw the bruises and we got him taken away from my uncle
I don't dwell in horse internet but between learning about this and the Prezewalski horse smuggling situation, I think it's safe to say your side of the internet is really wild
This is awful. Even if you just want to breed for profit you should be prepared for whatever vet bills come up because honestly you'll probably still make some money. I feel so bad for Pearl, she could've had a long life but this person's negligence just fucked it all up. I hope whatever is on your ovary isn't anything bad, you're a good person from what I've seen watching your videos and hope everything goes well for you :3
I’m so sorry to hear that sweetheart.yes I was diagnosed with endometriosis and I was diagnosed with a cyst on my ovaries that is the size of an orange my naughty mum likes to tease me about it 😊
It's so sad, I've been with the same horse for 25 years now and we rarely even use a halter, even when riding. I don't understand how people can just treat them like a machine. It's literally a partner, a friend, a companion! I've spent thousands in vet bills and it doesn't even come close to equalling the richness that my old man give me.
It’s really unfortunate that a innocent foal had to die due to negligence. I can’t imagine how sad the mare is after losing her foal and the fact that Jenny posted on her second account with a stud ad the day after Pearl died is disgusting.
I think this is a common thing in America which is such a huge shame. There are so many people who do not take their horses health into accountability and try to cut corners in order to save money because horses are EXPENSIVE. Do i think she murdered the foal in cold blood, no, do I think her actions caused the death 100% yes. She was just stupid and tried to cut corners instead of providing proper care.
@@RaleighLink honestly never stop doing what you do, you’ve inspired me to speak out publicly about many things that are wrong, even disagreed with family members etc. You really do hold a certain power that gives us all the courage we need to speak out on these things❤️
Pearl was born August 16th 2021! She sustained a horrid chest injury August 25th 2021 (which Jenny cold hosed and put medicated ointment on but never called the vet for). Then, October 25th 2021, Pearl passed away. Either way, she was less than a year old. Jenny is a horrible person. Point blank period.
Don't own horses or foals if you don't know how to give the proper amount of medication to a sick horse or foal, or even don't know how to take care of them.. It's very dangerous.
I worked on a Standardbred Breeding Farm - the farm vet always had us give the foal or foals Tagamet - if the foal didn't respond they were kept or brought into the barn - given fluids and kept there till they were ok to go back out
Poor pearl, it was even never her turn to die, because of her owners neglect this all happened. This is why it is never good to neglect animals so young. But yet we can do nothing to arrest her(idk why I said dat), all we can do is give prayers to pearl and hope she is in a happy place with her loved ones. And we can remember pearl by naming new life after her
Why would she do that?? She is crazy... How could she do that to a little foal that has a long way to go and live? It is like she killed a human baby:( And Raleigh Linkis always correct. She is a professional equestrian ♡😍
She had a foal with diarrhea and came out with the medicine equivalent of a drain plug. Very "if I just stop it this will go away" type solution. Poor Pearl.
Pepto is an extremely common treatment of diarrhea in foals, I’ve had numerous vets recommend it, that is a normal dosage for a foal. It is a regular treatment of scours in foals
@@tylerbaker7867 I asked my cousin (who works with horses and foals). He said that the dose was normal and that they have given that much pepto before if the vet ordered it. Honestly, I think this girl got advice on what to do until she could get the vet in, but the foal was more sick than she realized. She def lied about the tumor, but im sure she loved that foal and was grieving. She was probably shocked to experience the death of a foal and then had a bunch of people calling her nasty things and saying that she was negligent. She was probably shocked and trying to deflect the hurt she was feeling. I dont think for a second that she was being malicious or purposfully ignoring the condition of the foal. People on here saying she needs to be locked up and get the same charged that one would get if a child died in their care. 🤦🏽♀️
I worked at a veterinary breeding facility for 6 months (broodmare and foal specialists) an pepto was a very regular thing 60cc pepto and cream. Very respected vet, but again pepto was a regular thing when foals were drinking on the heat
Thanks for sharing what you're going through babe, I know that must be pretty full on even though you're a strong person. Be gentle with yourself during this time 💓💓💓
I've been hate watching Jenny for years. It seemed like she had every gross opinion that an equestrian could possibly have and it was only a matter of time before she killed one of her animals through her own negligence. As soon as Pearl became ill, I had the worst feeling in my gut. She posted on her story that she eventually took her to a vet 2 hours away and then the vet was late by another entire HOUR which I think absolutely contributed to Pearl's death. The poor baby was failed by everybody involved at every point in her decline.
We used to give calves Pepto-Bismol when they had Diarrhea. It works great on cattle. Our vet told us to use it because a lot of times that’ll clear up the problem in a calf within 24 hours. But that’s a cow not a horse and they have completely different internal systems
i came across her page around a year ago, and was very disturbed when i started noticing posts about her seeing horses as prophet and not as pets. glad im not the only person who thought that was fucked up and she seems to be getting what she deserves
I few, so special knowing the people you used in ur ss, thanks for using your platform for this. It was an awful situation, and I feel we were all waiting for this.
God it’s so horrific to hear this, that poor foal, I fear for the rest of her animals… her pure and obvious ignorance and lack of ability to be humane or responsible is scary to see.
My mare had a cancerous tumor too and she had to be put down, she was 12. So cancerous tumors take at least 1-2 years to grow before it can kill a horse. Not a few days or months. And it’s hardly possible for a foal to get cancer, most likely older horses…
I like how every six months my algorithm decides that i need to know about more horse related controversy and recommends me something from this channel .

I didn't think he would make it that day"
This is just to show, how important hydration and fluids are on the little ones - had I not insisted, and followed my gut feeling, Tiger would not be here today
Great story! I have a 9 year old gelding called Tiger too!
Yes!!!! Proper foal treatment!! People must not realize that although still a horse, foals are about as delicate as a 2 year old kid.
We have a foal, Harley, and we noticed that even 5 days after he was born we couldn’t see his bits and made a vet appointment immediately! Luckily she knows us as she diagnosed scar tissue in my mares eye (long story)
Everything was a-okay with him but I swear some people just don’t realize that foals are literally like newborn children
Honestly, vets on call should always be multi functional. Not just specialised in 1 species.
and it's important to show that indeed there are wrong things a vet can tell you.
Was the vet that came out Dr. Pol? lol. Sounds like something he'd do.

Her facility is barbed wire and tposts so that’s how she hurt herself. There is sooo much on this woman, I can’t even.
How much of an idiot do you have to be to have barbed wire near horses omg
Also if using metal tposts, they should really have PVC pipe/tube? over it as added protection it’s more visible, and it’s safer if they run into it.
She doesn’t deserve to be a horse owner if she cheats and kills them through negligence and naivety.
And its not in the best interest of the animals
If people want to travel with their animals and run barrels thats one thing. But racing is another thing entirely.
Like the iditarod doesn't have to disappear. It needs to quit being a race. If it was just a trail that would be way cooler. The competitive BS just ruins it.

Severely hope someone reports her to animal control or a rescue.
horses getting better healthcare than humans
You are correct!
This is the most intelligent comment on this video.
question, i'm not defending the owner's actions or anything, but the average QH is at least 100lbs at birth and this is not a new born foal, closer to 1-2 month based on the photo so if this is a QH foal it should be around 200lbs (2 mo old foals weigh between 230-330lbs based on mature body weight of 900-1300lbs respectively) which would be 60 ml dose that we saw given in the screenshot.
3 Slowing down prostaglandin, ( which is the cause of some inflammation.)
4 Blocking some bacteria( sorry off the top of my head cannott remotely remember, but some bacteria's that can cause diarrhea in this instance.

It all turns into a witch hunt.
No way am I standing up for this woman, I have never met her or seen her set up, or seen her breeding program or understand one little bit what happened to this foal.

How did she ever have any live babies? On the rare occasions I wind up with foals on site, my vet and I always have a rigorous worming routine...
I don't understand what it is with modern people who think going back to uneducated non-academic solutions to things is a good idea.

_DIARRHOEA!_
Their smaller bodies just don't last when losing water and electrolytes _fast._ Babies (baby humans, I mean) can pass within mere hours! And round the turn of the last century, the vast majority of these deaths were from 2 highly communicable and deadly diseases: cholera [which spreads in water, in filthy streets, in the workhouses] and bovine TB [from tainted milk and unclean bottles, cork stoppers, & sheepgut tubes/mouthpieces - it doesn't affect the human respiratory tract like "bog standard" TB.]
I'm obviously not saying the horse had either of those, just that diarrhoea kills, a lot.
Hi love how are you feeling now 🌺🌼🌹🥀🌻 your WhatsApp plz 🌹🥀🌻 Sarah
Very sad 😥.
I would have taken the poor filly in a heartbeat
Normal person: "my animal is sick, better get a professional to help"
Qhperfection: "ayo it's pepto time" 🤪🤪
If you can't care for your animals, you should not be allowed to have them. I can't imagine neglecting my critters like that. My cat hurt his paw recently and I've been calling every vet I can find to get him seen.
I hope your cat's paw is better now!!!!
Most people can’t afford veterinary care… so, we just give them the best life possible, and if something happens, we bring them to the emergency room… we don’t have regular check ups, or anything, because it’s so godly expensive, we paid like- 300+ dollars on a very small procedure on my cat, (he’s happy and healthy now)
The problem is, animal health care is so expensive, that even the middle class people cannot afford it, let alone handle their costs of living.
RIP.
I’m year of the Horse too(1954), and my horse is year off the horse too(2014)!
Poor pearls mother, and poor pearl may she rest in peace 🕊
Everyone's been waiting for this! Thank you!
I know loves!! I came to please!
Animals mask pain and illness very well, so if you see any type of discomfort or weird stools or vomiting, call a vet immediately and tell them all the symptoms, no matter how small the change is
Your next video should be about the Not One More Vet campaign about the rising suicide rates in the veterinary profession
Yes!! I am a final year vet student who graduates this May and NOMV is so important💕
Lives are more important than money.
How awful. I didn’t realize this was so common. My co-worker’s fiancée committed suicide shortly after receiving her DVM in 2015. Thank you for spreading awareness.
@@AnzuMiruku it’s the same with dentists. They have a high suicide rate too
@@firefly_the_rescue9308 why?? :(
Rest in Peace Pearl.
Aww poor thing, I hope she recovers quick!
Girl! You rock ever single hair color you put in your hair, can't relate 😂🤩
So he wouldn't lose ground and further dehydrate .
what was the recipe?
found your channel earlier this week and i love how blunt and straightforward you are lol. not many animal people have the balls to say "not everyone should have animals period" and i so fucking respect that, ive been saying this for YEARS. love ur stuff
Thank for these videos, they are much needed. People need to be educated on animal care and what abuse looks like, so thank you.
I’ve never heard about giving a horse pepto bismo. Not only that why did she give the poor foal that much? This isn’t adding up
Exactly and animals are so different from us as far as Meds go.
My vet had us give pepto to our mare with potomac horse fever. We've given some to dogs as well, but always under orders from a vet.
None of us should claim knowing everything, and here I'm a professional
Horsemanship, trainer retired?
THIS
she cant disclose alot of things due to court and legal stuff, but im sure she will make a part two once she gathers more info and is able to post.
Can I be added to the group chat?
Part two on every terrible thing she’s done! People need to know how terrible she is, let’s inform people so we don’t repeat history! #justiceforpearlfoal

It's already bad enough that Jenny lives 2 hours away from me but besides that, whenever somebody calls her out about her mistreating her horses in her messages, she always calls them jealous and horrible people. Nobody is jealous of her, we just want her horses to be taken away from her
Tbh there should be a part 2 of Jenny’s bs, there’s so much that the community should be aware of.
Agreed!
Even if the foal had “cancer or a tumor” the Pepto-Bismol is what killed the foal for the most part
10:04 bro even that’s to much for humans 💀 no for any animal or living thing it is recommended that 30 ml is the max im not a doctor/vet I don’t own a horse but I have common sense to not to give a baby animal 60 ML of pepto
fever and diarrhea without high heart rate my first guess would be potomac fever…regardless definitely call the vet, you are so right!!
She also made her account privet after all the drama started like 2 months ago, not to mention braking in yearlings in a twisted snaffle bit, then when one reared up over and over again she put him in 'time out' for hours with the bit in.
Hey! Quick correction! A milliliter and a CC are the same thing! CC just stands for cubic centimeter which is also the volume of 1 mL!
He Should've Either Call A Veterinarian To Have It Euthanized Peacefully Or Try And Take Care Of The Kitten Till It Passed Away From It's Illness
The Fact The He Said "It was gonna die anyways" was a super fucking selfish of him like animals were just objects to throw away when they no longer have a purpose
That's Like Carl From Up Just Stabbing Ellie And Abandoning her when carl knows she was going to die anyways
Anyways R.I.P To Pearl And The Poor Kitten 💔 🕊

So sorry to hear about your medical life, all the luck and love from your fans...
. Animals can't tell how they are feeling, that is why we speak up for them🥺
She didn't say she didn't care if the foal lived or died. She said she wouldn't be shocked if it went either way as she also said foals health can change pretty quickly either way. So she is accepting the fact that things can go south.. besides that I agree with all you are saying.
@Raliegh Link You sweetie will be in my prayers! Love your channel and Take care ❤️🙏🏼
I 100% believe that animal abuse should be at the same level as child abuse if not worse because kids can say something animals can't
@@layla4294 i literally said it depends, i did not say every child doesn't speak up
I don't dwell in horse internet but between learning about this and the Prezewalski horse smuggling situation, I think it's safe to say your side of the internet is really wild
What...?
Anyone who calls themselves perfection, you know is trouble.
This is awful.
Even if you just want to breed for profit you should be prepared for whatever vet bills come up because honestly you'll probably still make some money. I feel so bad for Pearl, she could've had a long life but this person's negligence just fucked it all up.
I hope whatever is on your ovary isn't anything bad, you're a good person from what I've seen watching your videos and hope everything goes well for you :3
One of the first people to comment wow this is so weird, I find it horrible that this person did that to her foal. Poor foal,, rest in peace 🕊
I’m so sorry about the medical issue, get better!
I had no idea who qh perfection was and never heard this of this situation. Thank you for bringing this up.
She was just stupid and tried to cut corners instead of providing proper care.
ily Raleigh, praying for ur medical health❤️
Thank you ❤️ I will be okay which is why I didn’t want to tell anyone! Do not worry love

That poor baby :(
Thank you for spreaking up, you're a wonderful person.
I love that you are willing to talk about issues like this because if you don't no one will because they are to afraid which is so dumb.
Don't own horses or foals if you don't know how to give the proper amount of medication to a sick horse or foal, or even don't know how to take care of them.. It's very dangerous.
I worked on a Standardbred Breeding Farm - the farm vet always had us give the foal or foals Tagamet - if the foal didn't respond they were kept or brought into the barn - given fluids and kept there till they were ok to go back out
QHPerfection is truly, EVIL...!!!!! Poor All the horse's she owns, She DOESN'T deserve any of them 💯
Please do a part 2 on all of the other issues
She most definitely did not take the foal to the vet. You know the vets would have had that foal on more meds and IV and such.
It is like she killed a human baby:(
And Raleigh Linkis always correct.
It is a regular treatment of scours in foals
no it doesnt treat the diarrhea its more of a band aid you give it kaolin pectin and a sulfa based medication to kill it btw smz tablets wok good
No it's not a normal dosage. A lot of vets on this comment section even said that it's too much
The breeding vet I worked who specializes in foaling - 60cc was very common
I worked at a veterinary breeding facility for 6 months (broodmare and foal specialists) an
pepto was a very regular thing
60cc pepto and cream.
Very respected vet, but again pepto was a regular thing when foals were drinking on the heat
12:13 so was the horse before dying..
The way that the foal looked at the giant pepto syringe...poor baby, I wish people like this never got animals in their care in the first place.
So glad you made this video!!
i came across her page around a year ago, and was very disturbed when i started noticing posts about her seeing horses as prophet and not as pets. glad im not the only person who thought that was fucked up and she seems to be getting what she deserves
What's her Instagram or did she delete that too. I'm curious to know.
