- This seed is a bro! I'm using Pandora's Box glitch and a custom seed since this challenge is way too inconsistent with random seeds.
Claw + Top OTKs are pretty boring; here are the highlights:
-Officially infinite: 1:18
-Medical Kit acquired: 4:41
-Shopping for potions: 5:55
-Transient dead: 10:06
-Act 3 boss: 13:08
-Act 4 start: 14:00
-Heart fight: 14:58

I find it ironic that the goal for every player in most turn-based card games is for you to make sure that the opponent either doesn't get any turns or doesn't get any cards.

No he didn't, he got the Abacus(block each time your draw pile is shuffled) in the shop AFTER the act 3 boss. So Timeeater definitely would have ended this run.
I think he had enough health to face tank a turn or two of TimeEater attacking, though…

When I got the minimalist challenge I also defeated the transient and got speed climber thanks to a watcher infinite

Since they've already cheated from floor 1 to shift the game in favour of this deck I would imagine each of the relics and the bosses that were fought were also hand selected to allow it to win

Would have been even faster with time eater. Without the relic that gives you 1 strength for every 3 attacks, it would take him 19.45 hits, rounded up to 20.

its funny like there are these 2 statuses for the heart at the start to probally prevent infinites and you just do it anyway

Could you explain how you did the pandora's box glitch? I tried to look it up online, but the posts were from so long ago and people said it was patched out, but yet you did it in this video. Thanks, and great video!

Pandora's Box is patched, but Astrolabe if given by Neow can be used to instead remove 3 cards if you exit the game then continue.

So Spinning top is essentially what carried this entire run and without it this deck wouldn't work, am I correct here?
That carried past 3rd boss, he would of died at the heart without the abacus.
he used a lot more than 90 some actions to kill the heart, he actually used more than 300, which would make him dead 3 times over.
@@waterboy50-zb6xf The amount of turns he would have ended up taking with no defensive cards and a single attack, where the heart forces you to take damage every single turn, really begs to differ. He would have been dead halfway through even the second floor, much less the final floor, not to mention he's not even on the increased difficulty modifiers.
This would be possible without the Top, but that would be an extra-hard challenge. The way he chose to do it in this video would not work without the Top.

That's the thing though "Where to get the HP from?" It had to be an outlandish and weird thing or everyone would have done it before him. It is still viable, and I don't complain, but seriously, what else did the people expect?@@gdgiantdwarf_

okay i understand most of this, but what i don't get is how you started combat with only 2 cards? normally you start with 10, how did you do that?
It was a glitch with the Pandora’s box relic. Normally it replaces all the strikes and defends in your deck with different cards, but the glitch just makes it remove all of them instead.

Its an old glitch with trabsform effects that let's you not take the new cards by saving and quitting
Wtf this actually makes me extremely pissed off at the game. This is the first I'm seeing a run anything like this, and I cottoned on to the fact you'd need an attack potion early on, which I thought was brilliant, only to find ***the game has been lying to us the entire time***. Attack potion effect: "Choose 1 of 3 random Attack cards to add to your hand, IT COSTS 0 THIS TURN." OP, you've revealed this for the lie that it is. Once it goes into your discard pile then back into your hand, it costs its original cost, despite you being on the same turn. This makes me madder than it should, but I think it's crucial this game clearly communicate its rules to the players, since there are so many surprise interactions that can crop up.

... So what am I not getting how did getting Pandora's box remove the cards at the start?
I don't know 100%, but from what I've gathered, there's a glitch where once you get Pandora's Box, if you close the window with the cards, and immediately open the Settings menu, or something, the cards don't enter your deck. You should search for it on RUclips, I bet it's better explained somewhere else.
However, it was patched out a long time ago. The reason he was able to do it here is because he had an older version of the game. So you can't do it in the current version even if you tried.

It's hard to know for sure. If you entered everything the same as me, I think the most likely explanation is that you haven't unlocked all of the relics yet.

That was crazy. ForgottenArbiter have you ever considered creating a neural network for this game, and why or why not?
Maybe some day, but there's a lot of work to be done before I can even consider applying ML to playing StS. Ideally I would at least have an implementation of the game without the graphics that I can use to do runs quickly.
