Retrospectively, the happiest moments of your life aren’t when you have everything you want.
It’s when you are striving for a meaningful goal, surrounded by people you love who are doing the same.
Now this is straight facts
This video is golden. Kind of annoys me when production companies have the best archives ever but take forever to release them lol. I’m certain MTV has insane Kanye and Pac gems
The whole interview (40ish mins) has been online for years.
@@ineverswag
I’ve seen the interview, I’m saying though I believe they have other unreleased interviews and videos in their archives they could release. Also, the highest quality of these interviews come from the original source
I rather MTV play these all day long than Ridiculousness
So many gems glad I found these you had to be there videos, I remember some of them
It’s unbelievable how much rejection the man got
His eyes, when you compare it with the eyes of Ye post Donda's death, look different.
And he's so articulated with his words back then.
Man, it's become so hard to watch him back when D still there.
This Kanye west dude from Chicago seems pretty legit. I hope he makes it big one day.
Kanye West one of the greatest of all times this guy a Legend for real
I just realized some of this is in Last Call
Jeen-Yuhs doc 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lit🔥
Came back to this after the Jeen-Yuhs (Kanye West: Trilogy).
Im a proud Ye fan. Been listening to him since College Dropout (14 year old me). I can't tell you the amount of times I played that album in my CD Player. I used to use limewire to download his unmastered/unreleased stuff 😅. It was the "Freshman Adjustment" series (RUclips it👍🏽).
Alot of the stuff in the first episode, I already knew. But seeing the behind the scenes on his come up, the drive he had, and the foundation he had (his mom). I see what I saw back then. It reassured why I gravitated towards his music at that age.
This Kanye WAS my childhood. He's grown so much since then. Good and bad. I might not always agree with what he has goin on or what he believes in. I'll call him out on stupid stuff, but I'm a fan and probably always will be.
Side Note: I hope he levels out what he has going on with his Ex-Wife Kim. Co-Parent in peace my guy.

Loyal fan🔥
I wish Kayne all the best 😎
the interviewer didn't even have to ask anything
this is proof that if ur hungry enough and u believe in ur talent enough u can change the world
And someone else believes in you and gives you a chance
He performed at my school Pace University in lower manhattan in ‘02 right as he was blowing up making beats for Jay, Cam and just going solo. Also, another Roc-a-fella legend producer Just Blaze lived in the same building as my boy right around the corner on Gold St. Met him numerous times didn’t even know that he was THE “Just blaze!” at the time..
damn
Who came here midway while watching 👀that Jeen Yuhs Kanye West doc on Netflix…me on today, 18Feb22? MTV posted this just yesterday ?!🔥🔥🔥🔥
most influential artist of all time
Who else hear after the Netflix documentary
*here🙋🏾♀️
so happy to witness this journey
Little did he know then, why God saved him from that crash
As opposed to the people God lets die? There was a crash in my neighborhood 2 weeks ago that killed 9 people, 5 were children. Guess they weren't meant to be rappers like Ye so...

@@portlandsamber nope, they were meant to go. Feel better now?

Mind you this was a different car accident to the infamous one that led to through the wire.

Nice gem 💎
glad to be born in this generation of great music
80s-2000s were the best. The last 10-15 years it's been horrible
Legend
Nice but some people wanna see tupac's mgm interview from september 7th 1996 where he talks about the mike tyson fight i know ya'll have that in yo vault
The 2000s, home of a new artist name Kanye West. 😀🧑🏿🦱
The hypomanic ramblings of a much happier version of Kanye. Much like today’s Kanye, there’s not a single word said by the interviewer.
The greatest artist of all time.
*YE*
I’m watching this after the Netflix documentary
I miss this kanye . Not yezzy.
Kanye before he became jaded by the industry. He was SO young in this video its crazy to see the last 20 years and what’s occurred. It is said some mental illnesses are dormant and get lit up by something traumatic. I think Kanye losing his mother really became his reckoning where his line he walked between genius/prodigy and insanity tilted to where his demons and diagnoses all came forth like a flood gate had been open. Some people take in trauma and grief and in turn they get physical sickness that manifests from living through the feelings associated with whatever situation occurred. Some people it goes another way and it affects your mind, and psychological issues become front and center. Not saying he should be absolved from all the whack and awful things that come out of his mouth…theres only so much one can blame on insanity…but im just saying its crazy to see Kanye back 20+ years ago and running through the timeline. He lost his mom and I think the dissolution of his family with Kim K divorcing him, the man just lost it and snapped. He should absolutely be held accountable for his actions, even moreso if those actions end up causing harm to others.
this feels like the "Blue-ray extra footage" for de documentary
King
2 years we, praying for kanye. Or at least i have.
