You gotta use this setup with premoves but stop at the move before checkmate, offer a draw, and then immediately checkmate after before they can respond. Could be a strong variation
Aman is definitely my favorite chess RUclipsr these days. I feel like I understand the game the way he days when he's playing his speed runs, kind of like the chess is easy. I mean, I'd have to play more to actually translate that into being a stronger chess player, but if I want to relax and watch some chess and have my brain at least partially active, this is the place to go.
In that final demonstration, the pre-moves began at 2.6 seconds. The line has 20 moves from the starting position. With each pre-move eating 0.1 seconds, that leaves 0.6 on the clock at checkmate. Aman can theoretically push the clock to 2.1 seconds before beginning the sequence.
I won like this in a rapid game. I didn't remember the whole sequence, but I freestyled in the end and found a way in less moves. The key to remember is just to get the queen to d6 at the right moment, which forces the king to b3 and then c2. Getting the king to this side of the board is easy, so you don't need help there. I had Black, which means that I had to do everything mirrored left-right.
While I am very much an amateur, I was playing with this and I believe that it looks like if the Queen moves to d2 instead of e2 for the first move of the sequence, then having the opposite king on g3 is no longer a stalemate threat since g4 is now available and the sequence now seems to work no matter where the opposite king is.
Suppose your Queen doesn’t start on d1 and you try to hurry things up by playing Q from some random square to d2. Well, that will be stalemate when the black king is on b3. But if you reset (and your Queen is therefore on d1, then Qd2 is a safe premove since the king won’t be on b3). So yes, you are correct - with only a small note to make sure to fully reset. I will use the improved version. Thanks for pointing it out!
I love it. :) Aman also has the best knight + bishop checkmate tutorial ever. Request? A Queen vs Rook Checkmate tutorial please. I really struggle with that and there aren't many clear tutorials for it.
There’s a really good course on chessable on this. “The Queen vs. Rook Endgame” by Rookshelf. It’s completely free and it’s probably the most detailed lesson on it anywhere.
I saw this channel for the first time and had no warning that the final mating position would make me laugh so much I nearly dribbled my coffee on my shirt. This won't be the last time I watch this channel, but next time I should probably, um, slip into something more comfortable for the mating position.
thank you for teaching us, mister grandmaster Aman! :) i'd like to watch more of your funny&cool chess videos again but you're posting videos too rarely. love you guys
The best checkmate is when you have every original piece on its home square then promote to 8 queens and bring them back to their home squares, and mate with a retreating knight move. I have to do it to a weak bot but it's really interesting to me. Trying to avoid stalemate and draw. Performing the cleanest checkmate, up the maximum amount of material.
You sir are the Grand Master of chess cheekiness. I've seen you play this masterful checkmate pattern twice. The Mona Lisa checkmate has got to be the cheekiest chess pattern of all time. Now I know what separates a GM from everyone else.
There needs to be a way to queue up premoves *without* starting the sequence. Then you could trigger the whole sequence at exactly the right time to finish with < 0.1 seconds on the clock.
You know what I could've used this a week ago when I had a 14 day challenge against a guy 1000 ELO above me and I was absolutely destroying him and I could've done this on it
I like to promote everything then sack everything except knight and bish and deliver the classic rare checkmate. Only thing worse would be 2 knights but that one I’ve never been able to figure out. That and the QvR I really struggle with.
Im a low elo player....and Id think once my opponent has underpromoted that many pieces, id be forced to resign. I dont see a point in continuing....so, when they dont resign, yeah..they had this checkmate coming. 😂
@@evilpandakillabzonattkoccu4879 on the contrary, if you're low elo and your opponent is flexing on you, you should play until checkmate, there is a big chance they'll either stalemate or flag

I tired to do it to my girlfriend the other day, lol. I eventually had to ladder mate her, I couldn't force the king to c2. edit: I got it now thanks to this.

Geeze, thanks for taking my comment into consideration 😂
Aman preps for meme endgames like Fabi preps for real chess
This video was like a magician revealing their tricks.
We People think how clever GM s are they play chess Like whole life so😂
it took me less than 10 mins to memorize the 20 moves via a different video, why is everyone so easily impressed? be realistic with yourself

The dirtiest mate in all of chess is now open source!

I’ve been watching Eric and Aman since a year or two before Covid. They are consistently the best chess channel on this platform.
"Never resign!" "Punish them for not resigning!"
Well, if you resign, you'll never be checkmated in a beautiful way like this. Perfectly logical!

Aman: okay let’s start the procedure

You are not cooking up a win chef, it is a check mate flambé.

Bro did it in 2 seconds too
Aman has been looking to the side a lot. Someone check this mans bungus. I'll take one for the team.
Interesting.

Finally next episode from the series building habits. Probably the most important one for my ELO. Thanks Aman.
The hardest part now is to get a position where I have this many extra pieces
Hardest point is finding an opponent who would entertain this crap and not just resign.
@@OkayAllDaya LOT of people would play this hoping for a stalemate or a clock out. The forced sequence is not common knowledge yet
thanks a lot!!!
This should be called the disrespectful Aman checkmate.
I tried to teach this to my students today. I don’t think they cared because they did not think it was beautiful or interesting. One day they will.
Is this your hero? Because mine, yes
There's nothing in the description....
This was the most important lesson i've ever had this year, this month, today, in the last 15 minutes.
Aman explaining Chess is good, but Aman Chessboxing is peak 😊
Next time you could really troll your opponent by setting up your pieces on their side of the board.
Can you please make a tutorial on:
1) How to win queen vs rook endgame
2) How to draw bishop vs rook endgame
Bubbles is that you?
i cant stop doing it:)
I have seen you do it so many times before 😊 LEGEND!!!

doing it with black -- it's white squares at the combo?
Before I learn to do that I guess I'd better learn how to mate with bishop and knight.
I like to promote everything then sack everything except knight and bish and deliver the classic rare checkmate. Only thing worse would be 2 knights but that one I’ve never been able to figure out. That and the QvR I really struggle with.
This is easier than knight and bishop checkmate
I must be possible to throw in some extra moves to hit 0.1 sec
Hi Aman, did you find thid checkmate by reverse engineering from the checkmate position?

GM Finegold Mate, has done it on side of the board and opposite side of board (all white pieces crossing to black)
Nice
and here i am struggling to have a bishop and knight checkmate ... Aman is reset board mate .. talk about next level shit
+++ a whole pattern for this shii ... the mona lisa mate is right on
The ONLY thing more inpressive that remains to be done in the chess world is to do this with 0.1 remaining in the end.
Any chance of the PGN? I'd like to see what Stockfish thought about it and for analysis in the future.

Wtf

good but not good

=)
"Punish players for not resigning", your not punishing us. We know we have lost! We are just having fun. And you are entertaining us.
@8:22 says there's a stalemate trap, but doesn't point out where 😅
At the start of the sequence, if the king is on g3 then Qe2 is stalemate
@oznoone6892 thank you. Is that the only one?
@chriselcombe847 that's the only one he mentioned in the first video that went viral. The mona Lisa of chess one
@chriselcombe847 also, he said that's only possible way of stalemate, after Qe2 it's foolproof
