- New York’s highest court on Thursday overturned Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction, finding the judge at the landmark #MeToo trial prejudiced the ex-movie mogul with "egregious" improper rulings, including a decision to let women testify about allegations that weren’t part of the case.

For all those thinking it's a bad thing. What you need to realize is HEARSAY IS NOT EVIDENCE. Everyone should be happy that it's even being challenged. It's so easy to say someone did something regardless of evidence. If you're going to convict someone do it solely under the merits of PROVEN evidence, not because someone said something happened. That's true justice. The justice our idiocracy is losing touch with every day and it's spreading by creating morons that show up to jury duty..

The Manhattan district attorney's office said it will retry Weinstein should the alleged victims be willing to come forward again.
"We will do everything in our power to retry this case, and remain steadfast in our commitment to survivors of sexual assault," a spokeswoman for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement.

"The remedy for these egregious errors is a new trial," Judge Jenny Rivera wrote for the majority.

Tarantino said he confronted Weinstein. He banned him from contact with Thurman for the remainder of the film's production.
