That clip with Ron Swanson is great. Every once in awhile you find yourself in that situation. You ask a question and they proceed to read the box, or look at their website as if I'd be asking if either had the answer to my question, lol
My sewing group loves them. I have 4 hite husband has a blue and black, bought 2 red and 2 blue for my grandson for their first toolbox. They are 4,3,2, and youngest is coming soon! Will be for their Christmas presents. Will hold action figures of their choice.
All my quilter lady friends must have one of this, pink color.
We store sewing machine tools, accessories, fabric cutting tools (rotary cutters, scissors) etc.

I think I'll get one for my 2yr-old granddaughter. I know I saw some cute little pink tools to go in it. Got to start them young!

Mine sits right next to my 3D printer and holds the weird collection of scrapers, glue sticks, replacement nozzles, and other crud. I know someone who uses one as a jewelry/cosmetics box.
And I see pallets of them from time to time at the local Lowes; they aren't _always_ in stock, but blue and black are in stock regularly enough that someone who really wants one is probably going to be able to get one for list price. (Now, if you want one in any of the other colors that the Lowes web site suggest exists...)

I have two, a black one with 3D printer parts and tools in it and a blue one with hobby tools.

I did buy 4 of the blue to match my US General. One for each of my kids, and one for me. I bought some drawer liner for them and will just let the kids do whatever they want. Mine I think I’ll store some specialty, odd tools like you said. Or maybe my side of the bathroom sink manscaping tools. That’s what my Dad did with his.

I was able to get one for one of my sons. Bought a sheet of felt and lined the drawers. It is a fun addition. I'd also have one but same - the stores around me allowed someone to buy them out and yes - they have them online at least double the price.

I went to my in-laws (North of Ft. Meyers, FL) for Thanksgiving and I told them I had to make a mandatory trip to Lowe’s on Black Friday. I got there round noon and there were still plenty of these left, I bought myself 2 of them for $12 each. I was so nervous that they’d be sold out after hearing how people were snatching them all up across the nation.
$12?!?!?! That’s a great deal!
@@TheReformationWoodshop yeah, I just found the Lowes Black Friday 2023 ad and it was actually $12.98.
I saw some of these at a local store but all they had was pink and couldn't try any of the drawers to see how smooth or rough they are because of the box
I actually think pink is the most popular so you might need to snag one up!

HAHA, I happened to grab one of these back on black Friday last year. They were on sale for like $10. It's still in the box, I want to think of something cool to do with it, just haven't come up with anything yet.

I use them to store my singer sewing stuff in I put little feet on them also use them to store my silhouette cutting stuff in I spray paint them to match my room and put decals on the it won’t let me leave a picture are I would show you I also bead flowers I use one for them I have four right now

Hmmm I haven’t had any issues so I don’t think I can be of help.
I think I’m going to cut the slides off and weld on nicer ball bearing slides
I have a few as a aww moment. At 20 I'd day sure.... kinda cheap quality. I'd encourage you if you want a small cute metal toolbox get the p.i.t they are the oem for snapon. They come in great colors and my woman has stolen every pit box top and bottom chest for her makeup in the bathroom.
Interesting - since you said that, I went to check out the P.I.T., as I had never heard of it before. I also found that Sam's Club has a little "Members Mark" toolbox at the same price as the Kobalt, but it includes 4 tools - pliers, scissors, 2 screwdrivers, and a hammer.

The people that buy these up are disgusting. Its a stupid little cheap toolbox but honestly its pretty attractive and versatile. When they were on sale they obviously all disappeared and you can't even order them online anyways. Went in the other day and theres a full pallet of them in all the colors still.
