On the USB-c/USB 3 cables; guessing it's what was available and it also prevents plugging this together in the wrong order. It's called poke oke (sp?) in manufacturing.
It doesn't matter, there's no excuse for this. With USB-C devices set themselves up as the client (receives data or power) or the host (supplies data or power), so a camera is always the host. It's a bit like the old USB-OTG (On The Go) stuff. If you plug two USB-C phones together you'll get a pop-up asking which one you want to be, so you can have one phone charge the other. (You'll sometimes get a situation where if you plug a USB-C phone into a USB-C powerbank, the powerbank will start charging, drawing power from the phone. This is why some powerbanks have an "Input only" USB-C socket.) Needing different cables is silly because eventually you'll lose one...
Thanks again 😊 Resolution looked good! All heading towards a progressive evolution. Still 5-10yrs to go? I still prefer photogrammetry, even if the processing time is longer (64gb 12 core i9 iMac w MetaShape)
Hi! I’m new to your channel which is absolutely amazing! I am an industrial design student and was astonished by your marker rendering videos :) I do have a question, which prismacolor markers do you use? (Midtones/ hyper bright/ pastel/ assorted /cool grey) I’ve been wanting to get some but I’m unsure of which is best for product design. Your advice is greatly appreciated & thank you!!
Qué opinión tienes sobre el escáner 3DMakerpro Mole y este Creality Ferret Pro? Cuál elegirías entre los dos? Cuál es mejor, peos y contras de cada uno segun tu experiencia y opinión? Un saludo.
Im an amputee, however; im at my hip. Im trying to figure out how i could send the shape of my stump area, hipdisartic area that is, send it to an out of town prothothist and he make me a socket without casting me. Any ideas?
I want a relatively cheap 3D scanner and I always _almost_ buy one of these Creality Ferret ones but none of them have that many reviews on Amazon and the reviews they do have aren't that great, so I keep backing off.
I can tell you from all scanners I tested this one has the best tracking. Not tbe finest detail but works way more flawless then even double expensive scanners. Further 3D photogrammetry is still also more precise/detailed than those scanners to!
Great little scanner. The scale is pretty accurate too.

Is there a better value for a desktop scanner if you don't mind your scanning being tethered to your PC?

What's wrong with you?
The mask is wrong. It is a symbol of oppression. I do not like it. We must be free.@@EricStrebel
