2012 I bought my polo Vivo GT for R160 k. 11 years later, 350 k km later is still the cornerstone of my garage. When the new one was launched for R250 k I thought no man that's too much, now is at R350 k. Glad I keep mine❤
I also learnt to drive in a 2012 Polo Vivo, that clutch was very smooth, very light🫶🏽 spoiled me for a while because I switched to a Clio and yeeerrr yaze ya tia clutch ya teng 😭
At 350k i would definitely get a good second hand Renault Duster Intens EDC because its an SUV and has better fuel consumption than the GT. Cool review, always looking forward to a new video from you, keep the good work up 👍👍
VW e tsubile manala. R350k odd for a BASIC car... Give me the creature comforts that will make me feel like I spent my money well. Thank you for your honesty, its refreshing to hear.
My queen ❤️ I looooooooooooooooooove u 💕 so much... I love how u review these cars. Big up and well I'm much of a Polo GTI fan. But this one is good too.
I would get a low mileage or demo polo Life. I like the gearbox and the engine in that vivo gt but in this economy? Nah bruv. They'll end discontinuing this one.
You raised great points👍i mean volkswagen are killing us in terms of spec ...grand i 10 has electric mirrors standard, ford comes with PDC standard 😂volkswagen should up their game especially on the polo
Bruh with the value of the optional extras, you could now get yourself into an entry level T-Cross or Taigo. Scratch that, you even qualify for multiple Compact SUV's like the Corolla Cross, Venue etc...
@@lesegoramasika5578 worse others say the current one is a Polo 8 .....I think it's just a matter of comparing it to a golf. They think for every Golf generation there is a Polo
Volkswagen is literally pricing themselves out of South Africa. Hyundai and Suzuki are great choices to look at especially with those warranty options.
@@everythinggoes850 My opinions are subjective, once quality and originality have left the chat there’s nothing left for me to spend. I dislike blind loyalty. Especially with my money.
My money would go towards a Suzuki Baleno. One thing i know is that Polo lovers will buy a Polo/ Vivo no matter the price tag. This Polo Vivo GT is poverty spec, how can VW not put in rear electric windows and electric mirrors AOWA
For a 25 year old gent it's a great car sport quite punchy after turbo lag is customizable stance alone makes it proper other a Belino is for 35 year old people 😂
For the first time a car journalist gives an honest review this car is over priced and with that money one can get better bigger crossovers than that polo
The price is high because it's for polo Boys😂 , they are punishing us and they know we will still buy it , I have never heard of Suzuki swift Boyz tbh....
Waaaaaaay too much money consider what you get at that price, for me I would rather choose the Clio V Zen or even the Life model which does come with enough features that are standard, sure the GT does have slightly more power and torque than the Clio V but is it worth that price, hell no. That Parking Assist thing which cost around R6300 must be a standard feature in this day and age.
According to me the GT's performance 81kw 200NM 9.7s 0-100km\h and fuel efficiency 4.6l/100km has no competition in the R200- R350K price range for 20s - 30s aged young man with 300-350K budget Its brothers: vivo highline's fuel consumption is very high because of its 1.6 petrol engine its pricing around R309K which is not far from the big brother performance: 0-100km\h in 10.8s . The Comfortline is slow 0-100KM /h in 12.2s 63KW 132NM pricing around R280K. The trendline is around R250K let's not go to the performance. I also think the target market plays a big role on this car. Rio, i20 and Suzuki according to me are too feminine and slow for a guy in their 20s-30s. If you have the money, love speed, want a fuel efficient good looking car and you're a guy in their 20s-30s this is the car for you.
This is way overpriced! At least one can go to Comfort Line or Highline 1.6. I had Polo Vivo Highline and returned it within 3 months. Not so fuel efficient for me, very low specd, nha one must just look elsewhere ffor budget cars. Paying R6k and close to R2k insurance for a Polo Vivo is not worth it.
With that pricing, this is a budget first car for a standard rich kid or a working person with a little more salary to spend 😅😂 But otherwise, a very solid option that ticks most boxes for a budget starter car R350K for a car with no electric rear windows ke mshika shika though 🤨

Those LED headlights are an R11,650 optional extra so a baleno glx or starlet xr is much better value
Your one of the best car reviewers ...spot on and relevant..thanks for the content
Thank you so much ☺️
I would really consider the Clio V. Sweet review indeed.
Bo masebe has spoken.......always an honest review......
Great review! Crazy to think that +-R300k is deemed as a “budget car” nowadays. 😅
BMW M4 now starts at R2M🤣🤣

3 seconds into the video and I smash the like-button, best car journo in Mzansi. Thanks for the content Reba.

I'd get this vivo without extras, especially in that reef blue color. The LED lamps its giving 👌
I also learnt to drive in a 2012 Polo Vivo, that clutch was very smooth, very light🫶🏽 spoiled me for a while because I switched to a Clio and yeeerrr yaze ya tia clutch ya teng 😭
At 350k, I'll definitely opt for those mini SUVs like your Venus & Urban Cruisers...etc.plenty!
At 350k i would definitely get a good second hand Renault Duster Intens EDC because its an SUV and has better fuel consumption than the GT. Cool review, always looking forward to a new video from you, keep the good work up 👍👍
Great point!
@@RebaSCars will it be possible for you to do either an off-road or long distance drive review of the Renault Duster intens EDC automatic?
Love this assessment. Well done Reba.
At this price second GTi Polo or a Fronx
VW e tsubile manala.
R350k odd for a BASIC car...

Personally I'll go for the Suzuki Baleno however I think you're not going to get as much street cred as in Polo😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Exactly. A lot of folks forget that VW in SA is more of a status symbol than a sensible option.
Bruh with the value of the optional extras, you could now get yourself into an entry level T-Cross or Taigo.

Also you look so pretty!! I love your dress on you. ✨
Thank you so much!!
You did what i ask for.Thank you Reba s cars.
No problem 😊
VW dealerships are too much in terms of pricing. You're 100% correct, with that 350+k you can get an SUV of Suzuki or toyota.or even Nissan magnite suv.
Sesi Reba u inspire me 🥲I wanna start a car review show too
With R350k, I can get Polo Tsi life 2nd hand as a 2nd option then 1st option would be Hyundai i120 2nd hand also
This isn't a budget car anymore.. the only ones are the swift and the picanto
Nostalgic song 🎶, Great review
For that money i would get a top spec 2023 Kia Rio Lx . And thats value for money maybe a demo model would fit into that budget
Is it not based on a MK5 Polo? .....I think the current Polo is a MK6. otherwise Banging Review as always Rebs
I'm still puzzle by why people call this a Polo 6😢😢😢
@@lesegoramasika5578 worse others say the current one is a Polo 8 .....I think it's just a matter of comparing it to a golf. They think for every Golf generation there is a Polo
Did you buy ii dropped , its like its kinda dropped🥺
For 350k, I would rather opt for a demo Kia Rio EX/Tec, Kia Sonet or Chery Tiggo 4 Pro.
For R350k id get a 2020/21 VW Polo R-line with 85kw 200nm, with a DSG also and be happy ☺️
The GT price is not make sure.
Suzuki Fronx 😍
you and MrHowMuch are using the same car neh Otherwise GREAT REVIEW 🔥🔥🔥
Keep it up my sister
How many cars do you have
My mom loves her 1st gen Vivo. Super reliable. For this GT money, I'd rather buy a Baleno/Starlet.
FOR 350K I would add +/- R1500 and get an entry 2023 POLO TSI
Even though I've just arrived and new here, a R350K on a car where everything is manual is a bit atrocious.
I should teach you some Tshivenda. You are almost there😂😂
Jaguar f-pace svr review please 🙏
Volkswagen is literally pricing themselves out of South Africa. Hyundai and Suzuki are great choices to look at especially with those warranty options.
You really think a VW driver would trade for a Suzuki 🤔

This cant have been that long ago?
Yeah. 8 years ago
The price of this GT is madness. I'd rather get the Baleno GL. That car is value for money🤌.
Bo Maseve honestly vw ba re timme panoramic sunroof, but than again am think one could buy a vivo gt with the same amount as your polo life.

Which one is this one. Ke ra pina
Matshikos - Peace In Our World
When VW priced the Polo Tsi Highline at 299K it was ok. So now im guessing they put a 1.4 engine in this body n upped the price. No!
chery tiggo 4pro for me because of value.
Please if you can get a toyota land cruiser and review it you just tell the truth I like that
Nice car and a beautiful woman too.
Thank you kindly
Black roof lining 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿 gearbox always awesome from VW, price 😅😅😅

This is exactly why I didn’t go for a GT, the price is just ridiculous. Might as well get a low mileage Polo Life sedan like I did for less than 350k
If im paying 350K i expect electric windows standard
I would save R50k and go for pre owned Golf 1.0 TSi or Corolla Hatch 1.2T yep a C segment hatchback for that money
haibo the rear windows nt being electric @ this price point bantu bekenkosi
I rate Polo Vivo Highline🤔🥹 with 5 spoke rim🛞
Vivos need to be capped at R250k... Anything above that is foolish
the way you kept saying Yeah it's a Polo😅, I feel like you don't take it serious

Good evening Maseve
Hello there!
That's a Polo mk5 Reba not a 6 the current generation it's a Polo mk6
vw's excess stock is so bad you can even get an almost new POLO for this price, cfao dealers selling 2022 polo life dsgs under 20k km for 315k 😱
You are gorgeous!
No wayys 300K for this.
350K you can get a preowned POLO 6,5 GTI

R350 never Suzuki Baleno GLX
VW likes testing God with their Vivo models 😒😏😏. My view, Baleno wins
Polo 5 not 6
I will never understand stickers on a car guys re ba tona tlheng😭
Hyundai balenoi
Unbelievable that the mirrors and rear windows are manual.
Not a little bit.. it's way too overpriced😐
Hey Reba I’d like to take you out on a date, please reach back to me.
For me i think VW is lazy when comes to changing this kind, I mean a lot can be change but they dont while it cost 9 million :-(
VW le di 1 litre engine mara
Severely overpriced, 1.4 tread line it is
In this particular car review....you look like someone’s wife🤔
🤣🤣🤣

R350K for a car with no electric rear windows ke mshika shika though 🤨
