Fishing Three Way Rigs for River Walleyes in Spring!

- I went on a solo trip out to a south eastern Wisconsin river with a goal of catching walleyes and whitebass. I targeted them using three way rigs, aka, Wolf River Rigs with Berkley Gulp minnows. It was a very productive trip with a lot of action. There was also a moment in the video where the wall I was fishing on crumbled and I almost fell in the river...good times...enjoy!

Great video . What pound test was your Leader ? What pound test was your dropper line to your weight ? How heavy weights do u use?

The leader line I like to use is 12lb monofilament for both the sinker lead and bait lead, tied to 10lb braided line. Some guys even go up to 17lb mono just in case they snag up their baits and flies, and to keep the flies from tangling. But I find 12lb mono is a good choice, I just go with a Trilene XT or Berkley Big Game for my leaders. For weights I go with 1/2-1oz usually, you can use a pliers or wire cutter to chop the pencil lead sinkers down and adjust your weight accordingly. I like going with the lightest sinker possible that allows consistent bottom contact and feel. Thank you for watching the video and hope the video and info here helps.
