- Beautifully feminine, powdery floral - based around Japanese plum blossom, violet, rose and sandalwood.
A beautiful all year round scent, for all occasions, and any age.
Awesome review man! I personally find this one to be a bit too sharp/ piercing for my nose. It's the first Zoologist for me that gives off dry-ish vibe, the rest of their line has this moist dampness to it that I really like it. I guess this one just surprised me a little with how dry it smells. Hummingbird is still my favorite haha. (for female fragrance)

I'm intrigued by this one, although i'm a woman i'm not into very feminine fragrances. Sandalwood is one of my favorite notes too. Looove Sacred Wood! I ordered a bottle of Ambre Sauvage by Annick Goutal because of you 😁. Btw I love this song, i've already told you that. You should see the movie Love me if you dare with Marion Cotillard, an unconventional romantic movie.

Hi peter, loved your Dubai perfume sniffing marathon lol, just a thought I know you love your TF Tuscan leather and better still LA yuqawam but have you ever tried YSL noble leather its a nice alternative, anyways keep up the great reviews, all the best

Enjoyed the review and sweet, powdery and floral is something I would never wear on my skin. Could I enjoy this one on les femmes...possibly, but I'll have to smell it on the ladies.

Nice review, Peter! I am also curious if u have gotten your nose on and like any fragrances from the house of Caron. I'm sad to witness that they get overlooked in the community a lot.
I've never seen Caron in any shops to pick them up... I think I have a sample decant of one of them though that I bought myself once.. I seem to remember smell pencil shavings, or to the effect.. but I might be miss remembering the names.. I'll try to get some samples, cheers

Thank you for all great reviews. I will definitely test all Zoologist line as well as House of Matriarch. I want to ask you about Nasomatto fragrances, which of them would you recommend for checking out beside of Pardon? Could we expect review for all of them? Also, just like you I don't like green fragrances however, do you think that Creed Green Irish Tweed is really worth checking out and what is your general opinion for GIT (it's nice but nothing too impressive to me). Is Panda a better one, it seems much more complex to me, just curious. I really appreciate your opinion and honesty in reviews. And yes, I can't wait to try Rhinoceros, so just asking is it still on your list for buying in the future? Cheers.
Thank you for such a quick answer. I heard about Nasomatto that most of them could be vey subjective and polarizing but most positive thinking is for Pardon. I will test most of the line but not all of them. I didn't like boozy as well (I understand completely your reason and I'm so sorry for what you been pass through, same happens to my father unfortunately). Also I can't stand coffee smell as well so I guess Black Afgano and Baraonda are pass for me. Also I know that Absinth and Duro could be polarizing but besides Pardon I'll test Duro and White Musk as well as ladies Narcotic Venus. For Creed I agree completely, so I think that just fine is not worth such a price, but rest of the line just like your said is way to overhyped. I know that Zoologist are very daring, but I'll want to try them all. For Beaver I heard all the best, however I'm not a fan of castoreum but I'll give it a chance (I read your answer on my feedback for your line, I think for Wanderer you should skip castoreum and make it ambergris based scent but if you will go with first option however I'm encourage you to do that). For Rhinoceros, well rum is more an aroma (without alcohol mostly used for deserts) instead of booze today, so I think I'll managed to give it a try I really like idea of such a manly man fragrance.
I was surprised at the smell of Castoreum... it smells really like slightly charred leather, like brown rough leather that's been left a little too close to a fire, and just singed on the edges!
I am using a mix of Ambergris and Castoreum ( and coffee lol ) at the moment, for that idea.. work in progress! by the sounds of it, you won't like that one haha!
Well, I know about tone down formula of Beaver and I really looking forward to give it a chance. If yours is in the similar fashion, than I'll be more than happy to test it out when finished. However, I'm not sure will I forgive you for coffee, it's even worse than castoreum for me :-) Just kidding, I can imagine castoreum (think that used in niche are much higher quality) and musk in composition with ambergris. However, I believe that your final release will be well blended, according that you said that lot of niche wouldn't be released if you are in control :-) and I totally agree with you at this point. Like Rhinoceros, I think that you should make it aromatic, manly and quite complex. I'm sure at the end of a day that all of them will be a great fragrances.
I guess art is always subjective, and whoever views it will have different opinions based on their own ideas and taste... I am about to crap all over "Art de Parfum" samples I bought... for a company called Art of Perfume.. I am surprised how bland and un exciting they are, one smells of a clone of a fragrance half the value too.. insane

I won a giveaway samples of all of the Zoologist frags but have yet to try them for test sniffing. I am banking of liking Hummingbird,Beaver and probably this one,Nightingale since they got the more good feedback from the line. The rest will be wait and see. Will let you know once I do. As always,tks for sharing your thoughts on Nightingale.

Hahaha,you guys crack me up. No,no offense taken....I'm thick skinned to cry over a good sarcasm.LOL ...Anyways,going back to the samples.....wasn't able to do proper sniffing test yet because I was on duty (night shifter) for the past 4 days and I was basically sleeping during the day time. I just got the samples last Monday so yeah. I will get to it either today or tomorrow. Plus,I got a tons of frags that came in from mail that I even have not opened yet.There is that too. Life of a frag addict. Oh well. Lady luck has been kind to me because I bother to participate in all giveaway raffles but if I really look at it,I have yet to win a giveaway that I really wanted to have.So there is also that.

man how do you train your nose..so you can identify the notes of a fragance?
I own over 100 essential oils, absolutes and synthetics, because I try to blend my own too.. and I smell a lot of fragrances. Just practise makes it easier.. like learning guitar, you'll be shit at it for a while until you practise
So this is powdery, floral & feminine but I don't care as I don't believe in gender bender in perfumes. Thanks for the review & video.

Their feminine scents smell great but their mens are certainly challenging and different.
I would think you would like the new formulation of Beaver.. it's very clean, like a fresh white shirt..

I don't really wear many fresh scents... but in the summer / spring, I enjoy Atelier Cologne - Pomelo Paradis, Narciso Rodriguez for Him EDP and maybe Prada - Iris Cedra / Infusion d'homme (but I don't own it at the moment)
