Honey is another huge note of Hummingbird, but depending on how hungry one's skin is, some people couldn't smell it at all. On me, it smells as rich as a honey pot.

The honey in this is so expert, Victor. It is an amazing floral/ nectar honey that I get on my skin - the smell of the taste of sucking out a honey suckle. It smells like honeyed floral nectar, whipped cream and fresh garden air on a hot spring day - and it is in no way boring. This is such a masterpiece. I have so many of your fragrances (thanks Thom), and I always feel like THAT GIRL when I wear any of them. This celebrates femininity for me without being boring or predictable. I've used about 10mL from my 60 mL bottle and I'm starting to panic... that's how you know it's a lifer in my collection.
Oooh I love hummingbirds too. I have feeders for them outside my kitchen window. Whenever I’m in my back yard and they actually fly close to me, it makes my heart melt, i just adore them. My favorite lil birdies.

I just sprayed this on my wrist again while watching your review, and I totally remember the violet leaf note greenness that you're talking about. I'm usually not one for florals, but I REALLY admire this stuff. And I get amazing performance, too - and my skin usually eats perfumes for lunch. By the way, have you ever looked into getting a hummingbird feeder? Maybe the climate or geography isn't right in England, I don't know. I have one in my backyard and get them coming up all the come for little drinks at my sugarwater dispenser. When I see one, it's almost always the highlight of my day.
Ahh if only! Hummingbirds do not live in England, I wish they did. :( I'd go hummingbird hunting just to see them. I saw them in London zoo but you aren't allowed to get close to the enclosure, as they are very shy they don't want people tapping on the glass etc. I really think they are amazing though. I WANT ONE! :(
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews There's a whole gigantic display of exotic birds at the San Antonio Zoo (San Antonio is in Texas, in the states). I had tucans and other birds like them come up and eat directly out of my hand. It's a hige walk-in enclosure, which is really wonderful and humid, like you're in a Brazilia rainforest. If you ever visit, lunch us on me. :D

Good call on the "purple" note. I couldn't put my finger on that, but that's exactly what it is. And the "green" of the violet leaf (and I see Victor mentioned) the moss is brilliant. I know I'm late to the party, but whoo this one is NICE.
Had to revisit this review because I finally got my hands on a 10 ml bottle. Eventually, I'll bite the bullet and get the full size bottle. Love this one so much. Maybe because I'm partial to hummingbirds myself. They're also my favorite animals. Cannot wait until my hummingbirds migrate back this spring. Missed them this winter. Have my feeder with sugarwater ready for their return. Will be wearing this perfume when they do!
I live in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania, U.S.A., and i am lucky to have seen MANY hummingbirds throughout the years, and on at least 2 occasions i saw them floating around my lilac bush, so that is DEF an accurate aspect of this fragrance, HOWEVER, the fact that there isn't any even mention of Hibiscus is a damn shame, they LOVE those flowers, and i think a hibiscus note (even fantasy note) could have made this scent much more interesting, keep up the good work dude

HAHA! They move SOOO fast it's hard enough to catch them on film let alone to get one captive! Just google "humming bird hibiscus" and there is a plethora of photos as evidence that Hibiscus was a sorely forgotten note in the scent!
I smelt about 10 of Zoologists perfumes and THIS one is my favorite. I am crazy about it. My second favorite is Dragonfly. These two I am getting full bottles of. I need to get samples of more Zoologist perfumes. I have a sample of bat, but I’m afraid to smell it and that I’ll hate it. So I keep it by my bedside table and keep eyeballing it....lol and it’s as if it’s telling me “awe come on , grow some balls and smell me already, u just may like me”. But no, I have no balls....lol I will however smell it sooner or later. Later on...... I finally smelt bat and omg it’s so unique and incredible. I like it very much.
Zoologist does do this natural, mineral DNA to all their fragrances. In so many I smell the Castoreum but not in this. Sometimes that note shows up later in the dry down and sometimes it’s right out front like in Beaver. That animalic urine bite. Someone on a fragrance board claimed that this house uses a Castoreum base in all their fragrances. Do you know if that’s true? I definitely don’t smell it in this. You’d think that this fragrance would be so sweet that it would be cloying, but it isn’t. It smells like nature somehow. There are so many notes in here that I find it hard to pin each one down. By the time you get one it vanishes and your on to something else. In the opening I got that mossy outdoor thing along with the leafy violet leaf. Then on to the flowers and fruit. Fresh, natural, fruity, juicy, leafy greeness, a sort of just picked sweetness, something creamy… This house is so much fun.
He’s the ONLY reviewer on RUclips that I trust to be absolutely truthful and to beautifully describe a perfume . I would absolutely buy anything he recommends coz i too have the same taste in perfumes . And this hummingbird is my favorite perfume of this whole line
Sounds like this one might be a bit too sweet and fruity for me. I really want to try Beaver, because I'm terrible and I like the idea of smelling like a hamster cage. :D
It's only a bit sweet, but definitely fruity. Beaver is my favourite of the bunch. It's very unusual but still really cool. I think I will do that one next from this line. :)
I would never feel worthy enough to recommend a fragrance to YOU.. but my wife assured me that you'd love "Raw Spirit's" Mystic Pearl. Hope you can try it. She loves the body butter more than the eau de parfum.. but she thinks the foral in the spray would be right for you.

I don't what the green thing is....i like the zoologist fragrances but they all have this rock smell that i don't like....i have no idea what that smell is, but i don't like it.

An actual real grape is used for grape flavoured gums, candies and sodas. It's called Concord grape and I think it smells purple too

To me, this smells exactly like Elephant cept replace the green with florals & the coconut with cream.
Oh wow really? I do not smell the resemblance at all. Elephant is a super green leafy fragrance and Hummingbird is a fruity white floral vanilla.:)
