I noticed that too. I tow a small RV (Geo Pro 12SRK) and loaded up it's 2300 lbs. Cherokee has no issues pulling this around and I've been towing this RV around for 3 year now. I have a 2019 Cherokee with the 3.2 and have no complaints with it and would and will buy another one.

I didn’t see the active cruise control , full sunroof ,rear locker or specs for the turbo 4 engine. Thanks, awesome review. We really love our fully optioned 2019!

Is it rear wheel drive or front wheel drive?

    • @pkarowic
      @pkarowic 2 года назад +1

The Trailhawk, in Auto, is a front wheel drive unit and when the system senses wheel slip and any of the wheel it will react as needed to keep you moving, but when you select the other drive modes it brings in the rear axle making it a 4 wheeler. It has 4x4 low and an actual rear locker for more challenging off road trails. I have the 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk ( bought it in Oct-2018) and love it and would buy another one. Hope that answers your question.

"Sport Mode" puts 80% to the back and 20% to the front.

Great review. I’m a 5x wrangler owner... my buddy’s Cherokee Trailhawk keeps up with my Rubicon quite well. I’m considering one myself. On our wheeler lake trail guide, it blew my mind and I was sold!

From all perspectives whether front, side or rear, this 2021 Jeep Cherokee is a jaw-droppingly beautiful body design. I own a pair of 2004 WJ V8 Jeeps, and previously regarded that model as the most attractive of any year Grand Cherokee, but now I'm literally drooling over this smaller Cherokee's 2021 iteration. Can't afford to buy a new one, so I'll bide my time and purchase one of these beauties a few years from now when prices drop into my affordable range.

A "review" that includes "offroad driving" without really highlighting the low range transfer case or rear locker. (that i can remember hearing?) Aside, the Cherokee Trailhawk is a great little grocery getting when you have to go over the river and through the woods to get to the store. I love my KL TH and would buy another in a heartbeat!

"it may not have the same pedigree as the wrangler".... it has the exact same pedigree as a wrangler, wtf?

Nice review covering most of the information, but nothing we haven't heard before. I'm not sure if you mentioned that the rear locker is quite unique in the size category and is a major contributor the the Trailhawks ability to impress even the hard core Jeeper with it's off-road handling, unfortunately most reviews do not demonstrate exactly what this vehicle is capable of.
I'm n=on my 2nd Cherokee Trailhawk, my current model is the Elite version which comes with rock rails installed, something I appreciated since I had to install them on my previous model. The Cherokee Trailhawk isn't cheap, so my advice for anyone considering buying one, try to go all the way i.e. panorama sun roof, adaptive cruise control and rock rails, all great additions that add some functionality as well as luxury to this ride.

The aftermarket rock sliders are MUCH better for actually wheeling. Better clearance, AND door protection. DOZENS of times if i'd had the Mopar sliders...i'd have had large dents or scratches all the way down my doors. But because i got the extra wide aftermarket sliders (Rocky Road Super Sliders) they will rub into the rock or tree long before my door does!
I'm also on my 2nd TH. First one was totaled, within a month i was in my current '19. People like to ask me why i'm taking "that expensive cherokee on the trails"...then i point at nearly every JK/JL in sight and remind them how much money all those rigs have in them...lol

This car still has transmission issues, it’s not reliable. Get rid of it before the warranty expires!!

So let's try the off road capabilities on an actual road isn' it ?

  • @kennethcurtis1856

My complaint---my wife and I---have owned seven Jeeps over the years is that reviews very seldom show the off road capabilities of this Jeep. Why? If you spend the first half of the video, talking up the off road capability than you take it down a dirt road with a few bumps, you make the Jeep look a wuss.

You have the tow rating wrong. It's 4500 lbs, not 2000. States it right on Jeeps website and in the manual. Only the 4 cylinder without the tow package is rated at 2000 lbs. I see below several other people have told you this as well. Why don't you toss in a quick edit mentioning the lockers and tow rating before a lot of people get the wrong info.

Sure ground clearance isn't an issue when you are just on a dirt road.

Years 2014 - 2019 had better lighting, better skid plates, better exhaust, auto liftgate, optional manual shift, softer seats, thicker trim, better service menu, and a ton more. Contrary to popular belief, the longer a vehicle model is manufactured the longer they have to figure out where to trim cost without making it apparent.

I know this video is old but I am just sad the KL life span end this year😢
It is old school and for some may have reliability issues
But I think the design still looks good today, even the earlier models
The interior is simple but has all the necessary equipments that one would like to have, gauge cluster looks cool and the plastics are easy to clean after some trail and camping ❤

The biggest sadness for me is that the Uconnect4 is going the way of the dinosaurs. We traded in a 2017 Trailhawk for a 2023 Grand Cherokee L Limited and couldn't take that Uconnect5. One big PITA! We traded the L for a 2023 Cherokee Trailhawk yesterday with the works! Too bad both the Cherokee Trailhawk and Uconnect4 are going away.
