I keep forgetting about those features when I'm out getting shots of statues and monuments. Ive gotten used to doing it myself. But those features help a whole bunch. I can just move the sticks without worrying about the camera tilts.
Yea, me too. I did learn how to make moves manually by the phantom 2 era. Them i moved to p4p and still keep doing all manually. Now i got the mini 4. Time to get used to use some automatic assisted stuff. Haha
I keep getting confused with the difference between POI and Spotlight modes. No idea why, it's like some sort of blockage in my small brain! So thanks for this explanation Ian, I'll re-watch this again and try to get my head to actually take it in properly. :)

Thanks for this Ian. Any idea on distance from / size of object that can be 'locked' ? I'm assuming contrast is used - like camera autofocus - to achieve distinction from other objects ?
I haven't tried this with my Air 2S for a few months and seem to recall that these modes are not available in 5.4k, or in 4k above 30fps. Is that still the case? Thanks!
I tried the Spotlight and POI today with my mini 3 pro and it looked okay but when I tried to preview it; download it or transfer it from the SD card to my computer it wouldn't work. The file name said it was a .MP4 file. Is there something that I have missed? I noticed that no .SRT file was created either. Does that make a difference?

POI = Auto Circle. Spotlight = You Fly or it stays still :)

It's literally the shape of the dragged subject. Although some contrast will help the capture of the target.

What functions will maintain height automatically? My lake is surrounded by very tall trees.
If you use POI and don't adjust the height in mid flight, it will stay at the same height......
Any way to tell the GPS of the POI? Am using a Mini 3 Pro.

I would have to check. But I wouldn't be filming above 30 fps at all in truth. 👍🏻

The .SRT file doesn’t matter. I only copy the .MP4 file to my pc and it plays fine on the pc.
What filter (if any) did you use for the shots of the tor?
None this time; early morning with low light. 👍🏻
