funnily enough a Minipops is a little drum sequencer machine - its come full circle LMAO- but we also have SNAR playing on computer controlled acoustics- i just love how he melts the perceived barriers between "Electronic" and "Live", straight up melting it down with that AFX ACID
It doesn't make it any less impressive, but I doubt he's playing along to drum tab after painstakingly transcribing it. He's probably just jamming along to it. Again; makes it no less impressive. This is some unbelievable skill on show.
This is so friggin' good. I've heard the original a bazillion times and now I'm walking down the street listening to this version on repeat. Well done.
Okay now get Godfried-Willem Raes to make a self playing version, then use a Korg Minipops to enter the input for Raes drumbot, now you're rolling that #12 sided Dodecahedron, playing that 4 D-scape chess lie a real Dice Man!
Tbh I don't like practicing a song too long. I'll listen to it over and over...and over and over, but when recording I try and do it in as few takes as I can. I feel that the longer I play along, the more I overthink it and almost lock up. I'd say about 80% of my vids are my 1st/2nd play through of the track.
i just love hearing a simple drum kit with a good drummer
yeah, I think a simple drum kit can have just as much depth and complexity as a super grandiose and complicated one.
Technique always beats equipment

Even the video recording has a Chris Cunningham vibe to it. Stellar.
haha, you're so right! perfect aesthetic.
This sounds so fucking sharp mate. Boss song and performance!!
absolutely mindblowing
If anybody is a drummer they know how hard this is lol shit’s insane to remember and execute that whole thing
my guy you can just listen like 2 times and jam along like this
@@uzey8749 a recent comment on an aphex twin related video??

Most of aphex twin drum lines are pretty diverse and complexed , plus unique in their own way , that why i love it.
The roll on the hi-hat is so fancy that he has to put his pinky out! :)
