I honestly thinks it’s really unfair that shows like that can just use content creators have made to then mock them and gain their own ratings. There’s something inherently not ok about that. I’m sorry you’ve had that experience. ASMR has literally changed my sleep patterns (I can actually fall asleep in a reasonable time now!) and I’m so grateful to content creators who are putting their time/effort into this. I think you’re awesome & your videos are super helpful! Thank you for all your efforts! Break a leg next weekend!
You'd think that if corporations can have RUclips content taken down, content creators could oppose large entities using their content as well.

What I find strange is that if I were to tell someone I take a drug to help me sleep every night they wouldn't blink an eye. If I say I watch ASMR videos to help me sleep and explain what they are I get strange looks. People are weird. Don't let them get to you. Great video as usual 😊

I think ASMR is a very difficult thing to get into and understand. It's strange, and some people find it extremely uncomfortable. Mankind will always push away what is unknown to them. It's expected to get very negative reaction on ASMR from people who have never been in touch with it or never tried it. Nevertheless, the extreme comments are always uncalled for, and I'm not trying to say they are justified (Quite the contrary). Still though, if something is unknown to people and a bit of a niche, there will be extremely hateful comments. These comments will always exist as long as the internet exist. I'm sure you'll be able to push through this Sophie. Just remember that you have a loving community standing right behind you to support you at all times. Keep strong!

When I was a kid, I ALWAYS loved listening to people write/draw with pencils. But not just any pencils, only the number two types.
Never knew what that tingly feeling was until I recently found your stuff. Love it so much!
I just saw the interview on this morning just before and I’m absolutely disgusted on how they treated you on it. I’m surprised you kept your cool because I would have walked off and not have taken that mockery. They were basically taking the piss out of the beautiful work you do.

I totally agree here. I have Schizoeffective disorder so am naturally highly paranoid. Thank God I have never used my face on my asmr RUclips channel coz I think I wudda been 2 paranoid 2 go out if some stupid tv channel or any other internet platform started mocking me. I'm already highly sensitive and have autistic traits.

They way you have handled this is beautiful. You were graceful and patient in the interview, then you weren’t afraid to speak up about how you were treated unkindly and unfairly, and now you are staying strong and being so graceful about taking time to reflect and feel better, while still letting us understand what is going on and being honest. I’m a big fan of your videos Sophie! Ever since I was a little boy, I always used to find whispering so calm and relaxing. I remember my mom used to always read to me before bed by whispering and those moments were awesome! It took me like 5 minutes to fall asleep when i was being read to by whispers. I always thought I was possibly the only one who found whispering so relaxing but ever since I discovered you and your fan base I feel like I have discover a second family! To this day, I still find whispers very helpful when I can’t seem to sleep or after having a long stressful day. Thank you for all you do, you really do bring happiness to others

I was thinking about how gorgeous those earrings were before you mentioned them. Don't let the comments get to you Sophie. Every new art form undergoes this kind of criticism at first. You're helping people with serious mental health issues. I'm a survivor of rape, physical abuse and mental abuse. I suffer from psychosis and being up all night triggered it really badly. You and other ASMRtists have helped me through that and I am so grateful.
