This trip goes along PA 54 westbound, beginning at the intersection of PA 54 and PA 487 in Elysburg. The trip goes through the countryside and crosses the Susquehanna River and goes into Danville. The trip goes through the business district of Danville and ends beyond US 11. This area of North Central Pennsylvania in the Susquehanna Valley is an area of light manufacturing and farming. Economically the light manufacturing base of this area is strong enough that it has held its own over the years. There are also several colleges and universities in the area which draw both local students and students from the larger population centers several hours away. This trip was in Northumberland and Montour Counties.
