Love Mecca so much more than Sephora! I’ve found the staff are more friendly and informed in Mecca… they listen to me and what I am looking for in a product, whereas Sephora staff just seem to try and sell me the most expensive product…. The staff in Mecca are also just so much more friendly and helpful. The Sephora staff honestly don’t even seem to like being there haha.
I used to work at Sephora and it was horrible. We honestly didn’t want to be there. During onboarding they tell you a lot of things that aren’t necessarily true and make you think it will be very different than it actually is.
I usually shop at Mecca because the Sephora in Australia don’t have things I need like glow recipe
YES. MORE AUSTRALIA CONTENT. pleasepleasepleaaaseee do a video on Australian TGA approved sunscreens! I love the formulation of Korean sunscreens but a lot of them aren’t approved in Australia 🥲 please help a girl out

Mecca is definitely more customer oriented than Sephora. From my experience, I find Mecca staff, friendly and approachable.
Love the video, I much prefer Mecca over Sephora in Australia. I find Sephora has no stock or they only stick online.

Honestly one of the best shopping experiences I had was in Mecca. Their staff are so genuine and ready to help. They don’t oversell and respected customer’s boundaries. I was only a visitor to the country and it was apparent. I dressed pretty normal, nothing fancy, but I felt like they treated everyone there with equal respect no matter how you looked. I only bought a bath mitt and set my intentions clear as day. Nothing changed, the staff treated me so nicely still, even the cashiers were so friendly and made conversation about what a good choice I made purchasing the silly bath mitt.
They were so nice to my mom too who couldn’t make up her mind. We’re Muslims and she wore a hijab. Honestly, they treated her so nicely even though we didn’t get a lot of stuff. They let us roamed and explore the store for as long as we want too. I think cause they know the brands and products were new and exciting to us.
So good to see a video made in Oz, that doesn't happen very often. Every time somebody asks what I want for Chrissy etc, I always say Mecca voucher. Can't go wrong with that!

Love this! Living in NZ, Mecca is defo my fav. I love the Mecca Atheltica range and the kit brand! But my absolute favourite is the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF 50 sunscreen, it's incredible! I have about 3, in my bathroom, in my bag and at work!

Mecca for the win! Sephora has some good brands (Rare Beauty, Fenty) but finding stock of what you're after doesn't happen all the time.
Mecca has pretty outstanding customer service that's consistent, such a wide range of brands and their loyalty program is better than Sephora's as well.

When I lived in Australia, Mecca seemed way more customer-friendly in terms of finding products in the store and customer service than Sephora, in my opinion, and I will gravitate to go Mecca than Sephora store more. They also carry abit more products as well, especially perfumes and skin care products.
Can u tell me where to find authentic CeraVe , ordinary, koreon (skin 1004) , L'Oreal ever pure , ogx ,Millie rosemary. These products under one store in Australia?

honestly one of my favourite products ever. it's the only sunscreen I can find in Australia (as in not have to buy online from like a k beauty) that doesn't irritate, doesn't make me look ill, and doesn't seperate my foundation.
omg after you and some others who left a comment also telling me to get their sunscreen, I literally got my sister to ship one to me in ny! coz i left before being able to get it in store! will let ya know how it goes and i'm sure you'll see it featured sometime soon eheheh. thanks guysss!! - fel
Mecca can be found in New Zealand too. It has a rather boujee feel more so than Sephora, particularly because of the brands like Korres and Amorepacific it carries.
true! they had brands, like the French brand Cosmetics 27 that I've never even heard of! it was defs a fun experience browsing the store this time hehe - fel
Yes! I’m so glad that you got the Cosmetics 27 Baume! It’s thick but you only need a pea sized amount. It works wonders on me when I have a flare up with my sensitive skin (have spent thousands trying everything recommended by derms/seph/Mecca). It’s the only thing that has worked. It might cost a bomb but it’s worth every penny. Can’t wait to hear what you think about the other products!
Also, I completely agree - the overall experience at Mecca is first class compared to Sephora Aus. I’ve been to Sephora in France and it was amazing! Nothing like Aus where the brands and customer service is inferior… and if they do have anything good it’s usually out of stock
It is in New Zealand as well.
I always prefer Mecca! They have better selection of products for me and membership benefits are actually a lot better. The staff are nicer and more helpful as well.

I feel so validated because my face also responds terribly to vitamin c and derivatives, even though I use every other kind of acid with no issue. But my esthetician and derm act incredulous when I say I can’t do vitamin c! And every skincare article is about how vit c + retinol is the primo combination! It makes me feel crazy!!! 😂
omggg nuuu you're defs not alone! i had such an annoying experience with it that whole time with the face rash. So I've realized that I can actually use gently vit c derivatives, rather than L-ascorbic acid as I think it's too acidic for sensitive skin. So maybe derivatives like ascorbyl glucoside is something you can also try, otherwise I love tranexamic as well as azelaic acid for being able to also even out the skin tone and hyperpigmentation as well! hope this helps! - fel x

When I was in Melbourne I loved Mecca and I felt like the staff there are more friendly than the Sephora..I loved the lip balm from Mecca..The lip de-luscious with SPF...I personally prefer the classic/original to the tinted...I would recommend giving it a try...As always, being a big follower I would love to see the reviews of the products you got ☺️

Please review alll offf themmm 😂😂 Mecca staff are friendly, and that's the most important thing to me as a newbie to Mecca. Besides those products, highly recommend you should bring some wine bottles home as well, well Australia is also famous for wines

A lot of the brands sold at sephora US are exclusively sold at Mecca which means Sephora Australia can't sell them 🙂 Urban Decay for example.
The Mecca brand sunscreens are bomb.

@@idiotanimal6882 You can find Cerave at Priceline, as well as the ordain army. L’Oréal is normally sold at David Jones. I don’t think Korean Skin and Millie is sold here.

Haha that’s my local store. The two in the Canberra Centre. How funny! Mecca is much better than Sephora and that’s because they’ve been here forever and they have the rights to more products. In the Us sephora has loads of brands that our Sephora’s don’t. You won’t find much crossing of brands here at all. Mecca have all the candles and fragrances I love and Sephora has none. Last Christmas Mecca sent me a boxed Westman Atelier set of 3 full sized products and a hand written card. Like they are so nice! Kit is actually Mecca’s own brand. It was around years ago when I first started going there then they stopped it and have recently started it again. They also sent me a box of these with the Night Balm and Skinkind Face Oil. They’re both great products. I love Cosmetics 27. The face mask is the best product! I can’t live without that mask. I’ve also got the balm and their hydration serum, it’s milky.
Mecca is definitely my preference but I do go to Sephora as they have brands exclusive to them that I can’t find in mecca. What I love is as others have said the staff are lovely and so informed. Also they have some amazing high end brands in the more exclusive locations as well as your good old essentials. I have to say though W Cosmetics is amazing I’ve not been to Mecca or Sephora in ages after discovering Korean beauty!!!
i havw to say, I was so impressed by their selection and curation of products! so exciting, and I think online store has even more! but yes, totally agree that korean beauty also has awesome products that make you forget anything else exists hahahah - fel x
I love Grown Alchemist, an Aussie brand too, which can only be found in Mecca now.
As far as product knowledge my experience with Sephora is they don't know the products too well I've had staff look up stuff on the Sephora website on their phone when I ask what the main ingredients are😅

Mecca has the rights to all the brands that Sephora usually carries so that is why Sephora in Australia doesn’t carry Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Urban Decay etc. Sephora in the US is more exciting but it’s great that we finally have Sephora and all their great brands here. Supply is hard because we are a small market far away. Hope you enjoyed Canberra! Your sales assistant was adorable. Mecca definitely has the best customer service of all the beauty stores.
You should try the Mecca Max Screen Saver sunscreen. The texture is lotiony light weight without being greasy and no white cast!

You need to try the Mecca Cosmetica SPF 50 SERUM! It’s amazing, glides on like nothing and doesn’t feel sticky just hydrating. I’m not a fan of thick sunscreen so I was so happy when they came out with it! Hubby really loves it just as much as I do 😊

Hi I love your videos but can someone give me tips on what to do but whenever I use a sunscreen or moisturizer i always get clogged pores that lead to bumps and I hardly get that at all but now I am starting to develop that bumps
I love the Mecca anti redness primer. It works well over sunscreen.

Sephora are difficult to deal with online. Take weeks to sort out issues and since Oct I still can't use my card to pay for stuff. Not dealing with them anymore

Those prices for essential skincare in Australia are crazy!
What you neglected to say is in both stores Australians pay some of the highest product prices in the world. Both stores especially Mecca has lost currency conversion. Also many brands have very slimmed down products in a particular line. We have had to accept if you want you ignore asking price regardless.
Really wish we had these products in the us!!! 😢 but what are some us equivalent for some of these products. Especially for the body wash and moisturizer
Mecca's staff are amazing however I love the Sephora 20% discount and the ability to pick out the freebies. And Mecca isn't just in Australia it's also in NZ.

Is there anyway to buy kit in the states
I found out Kit is also part of the Mecca brand, and they don't do international shipping.
