well i dont know how big of a nerf it was because the range of the r77 is almost 30 km but on paper it says 80 km so it is defenetly better that the r77
I did the calculation for the empty configuration (for the Rafale C Standard 3 and the Eurofighter Standard 4.0, the German one in the game). Our magnificent Rafale: Empty weight: Around 10 tons Engine thrust with afterburner: 75 kN per engine, for a total thrust of 150 kN. Weight in kN: Weight = 10,000 kg × 9.81 m/s² = 98.1 kN. Thrust-to-weight ratio: Ratio = Total thrust / Weight = 150 kN / 98.1 kN ≈ 1.53. EuroFighter : Empty weight: Around 11 tons Engine thrust with afterburner: 90 kN per engine, for a total thrust of 180 kN. Weight in kN: Weight = 11,000 kg × 9.81 m/s² = 107.91 kN. Thrust-to-weight ratio: Ratio = Total thrust / Weight = 180 kN / 107.91 kN ≈ 1.67. 1.53 versus 1.67… it’s basically the same thing. And the Rafale is more maneuverable; it pulls way more AOA than that German Bird. Honestly, Gajin just frustrates me…
Yup, did the calculation as well and it's very close, barely noticeable. However, this is static thrust so it tells us nothing about thrust to weight while at speed and altitude. Rafale's less efficient intakes probably gives a larger to the Typhoon the faster you go. Still, it has been confirmed that Typhoon is overperforming and Rafale underperforming, so will have to wait for dev server to be updated with the fixes.
@ You are correct; the larger air intake of the Eurofighter likely plays a significant role at high speeds. However, I hope the developers will address and refine both the Eurofighter and the Rafale’s performance by the time of release.
The rafale doesn't have an airbrake irl, but you should be able to angle the cannards and flaps in a way to act as such while still being able to manouver the plane. Hope they implement it, otherwise it'll be severely gimped. As for the flares, it really can only carry 32 aswell, but they're some really advanced flares that match the heat signature of the engines real well, making it so it's allegedly possible to flare ir missiles with imaging seekers (think aim9x, iris-t, mica-ir and the likes). Tradeoff is that those flares take quite a bit more space than normal ones. You do get almost 200 pops of chaff tho. And when it comes to the top speed, yeah, the rafale is kinda slow ngl.
France was originally one of the national partners in the design of the Eurofighter, before pulling out and making the Rafale based on the work they had done on the Eurofighter.
Wrong ! When France left the program, the specifications weren't even done, let alone any sort of design. The only thing they have in common are the twin engines, a delta wing and a canard. And even then, the engines and intakes design are completely different, the delta wings don't have the same shape or angle, and both canard designs have nothing in common. Even if they wanted to copy from eachother, they couldn't, as each team didn't know what the other's design was. And finally, Rafale was developped faster and was pretty much completed waaay before Typhoon. While they are both based on roughly the same original idea, both aircrafts have almost NOTHING in common when you take a proper look.
I don’t know by how much. It’s still supposed to be the fastest jet by a wide margin, as fast as an F-22. Supercruise at Mach 1.5 and typical missile launch perimeters of Mach 1.8.
The Eurofighter is not bugged mate, its made to supercruise even at speeds of mach 1.5 and mach 1.3 with combat loads, and its engine is literally that strong
Still sad they still nerfed the mica’s range
haha

@doomassassin2221 normally mica is 80 km instead of 50, they put a big big drag on the mica

AASM are more like propelled bomb more than missiles, that's why they are so slow

Juat pull back and it will wlow down

More like the Mirage 4k leading to the ACX/Rafale project
Wrong !

Rafale isnt slow, its the eurofighter that is bugged, too much speed and acceleration, it will be nerf like the f15e with correct flight model
I don’t know by how much. It’s still supposed to be the fastest jet by a wide margin, as fast as an F-22. Supercruise at Mach 1.5 and typical missile launch perimeters of Mach 1.8.
EF will be nerfed but def not by much, EF is literally gonna probs be the fastest jet in game.
Rafale does lack thrust rn
The Eurofighter is not bugged mate, its made to supercruise even at speeds of mach 1.5 and mach 1.3 with combat loads, and its engine is literally that strong
Rafale is also underperforming in speed.
It can't even supercruise at mach 1.4 clean... when it can do it with 6 MICA IRL.
Where will it be on the tech tree?
The Rafale will be tech tree France in the furthest left line rank 8
It will be behind the Mirage 2000-5F
Should be after the M4K but gaijin...
@@stone1er371yep, absolutely should have
Aibrakes are the canards
The engine power is underperforming at the moment, IRL he has 75 000kgf, not 68 000
ah yes 75tons of force mhm 💀
@ no, 7.5T or 75kn
Rafale's intakes are not the most efficient, so expect a significant loss in any case.
