Sara wrote the libratto for the musical, "Waitress". It's a beautiful piece, and I think probably touched the soul of every women who ever heard it. Thank you for giving it a listen!
Wow!! Such a pure voice, a beautifully sad song. Always loved her voice and talent and yet haven't heard many of her songs. Guess I'm just beginning to really appreciate what I've known was there for so many years. I literally listened to this song on replay at least a dozen times. She is vastly underrated!!
This is a gorgeous song. The lyrics and the delivery in Sara’s beautiful voice just reaches right to the soul. She’s a wonderful songwriter/singer/pianist. Just exquisite. Apparently she wrote this for a movie. Thank you Catherine and Harri 🌺✌️
A beautiful song, from her 2015 album, "Whats Inside: Songs from Waitress", a wonderful Broadway show. With her beautiful mezzo soprano voice, accompanied primarily by piano, with guitar and drums added to this unbelievable tune, the depth of her ability to become one with the piano is unbeatable. Such emotional lyrics along with a phenomenal melody make this a memorable tune. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Catherine.👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Sara wrote the music and lyrics for this and the other songs for the Broadway musical ‘Waitress’. The musical is based on a darkly comic, independent film of the same name, with an empowering ending. I wish the writer, director and one of the actresses in the film, Adrienne Shelley was able to hear this song by Sara. After the film was accepted by Sundance but before the premiere, Shelley was murdered. At 40, she left behind a husband and two year old daughter. The film is quirky and strange with some real laughs and real love. I recommend it. And Sara captured it perfectly with these lyrics. Thanks.
@@Cynthia... In the US and Canada there is a limited run of a filmed version of ‘Waitress : The Musical’ around December 7th. With Sara Barielles. Hope it’s nearby if you want to see it.
Saw Sara for the first time when she sang this live on UK tv a few years ago, what a voice ! I strongly recommend you look on the internet for the video of her appearance on the Graham Norton Show. Boy, can she sing a song?!!
