Ive gone back and forth with it. Its great for these types of shots. The best way Ive found to edit is use the insta360 desktop app. Then bring in the stitched mp4 files to edit.
You should have the option to export as either 360 or standard mp4 video files. I use the app to reframe the 360 footage and then export mp4 files and edit in final cut. I found exporting as 360 and reframing in final cut is more cumbersome. The 360 stitched files are massive.

@@dragonphotostudio yeah the issue is the app desktop dont let you stiche together 360 ie final video is 360 not flat
