I got private colleges only with 5 lakhs per year in JSS Mysore Belgaum and Gulbarga...All are 5 Lakhs fees + books + food+hostel + personal expenditire all close to 8 to 9 lakHS per year......I got dental in my state but I did not pursue....MBBS abroad himmat nahin thi....ghar mein paise bhi nahithe...utna...but I always watch MBBS abroad and follow FMGE a lot...if my son shows interest to do MBBS and due to any reason if he cannot get Govt medical then I will send him to abroad for sure......for me I can only watch and understand how difficult a medicos life is.....not only doctors but nurse staff etc...
You should have opted for it back then it wasn't that costly compare to now you could have completed it in just 8-10 lakhs minimum i had one of my friend who had also done his mbbs from Russia around the same budget and now he is working in Australia as a senior consultant back then MCI wasn't that strict standards you just need a valid degree and fmge wasn't that hard to crack due to less no of candidates I had a very similar story but fortunately my father agreed to take education loan and now I'm very fortunate to living a live what i dream of anyways thanks for sharing lots of love

FMGE current pass % is 23% only.......many prepare for 1 year and further go to coaching to pass this exam. Many have not been able to pass this exam even after many attempt. Better to study in India and u can finish in 5.5 years rather if u go abroad you need 8-9 years to get yourself enrolled as Doctor.
I agree by studying in abroad u have to give 2 internships 1 in foreign and 1 in INDIA but BOTH have to give NExT exam itself for the license in INDIA.

so an India MBBS guy will give NEXT 1 at 4.5 years whereas a FMG guy will Next 1 at 5.8 Years.....there is a 1.3 years gap as FMG has 5 years of MBBS + 1 year Internship where as in India 4.5 years + 1 years internship....so why not to get into a college in abroad which has 4.5 years of study and do 1 year internship in India or that is not possible....? please clarify to all

FMGs are supposed to give 2 exam from 2029. FMGE + NEXT both…& it’s going to be a long process of 7-8 years for the FMGs to be a Doctor in India.
