A rough translation, thanks to google😅: You are so good, you are so simple You are very loveable, oh mom, oh mum You are so nice, you are so simple You are very loveable, oh mom, oh mum That, the world this is, is a garden of thorns You are the caretaker, oh dear mum Your eyes are now tired and sore, mum You have been awake for me, all nights You have lost your sleep so I could sleep well, oh my dear mum You don't worry about your happiness and griefs If I smile, you smile, If I cry, you cry you give away to my crying and my laughter oh dear mum. (Then she says, this last verse is my favorite and so beautifully written) A mother is the life of the children Those are the fortunate ones, the ones who have mums so beautiful, so pure- devoid of passion so very wonderful!!, oh mum You are so good, you are so simple you are so loveable, oh dear mum
Pakistani and Indians shouldn't hate or compare each other's music talent ....Give the due credit to these talented singers without being biased and a patriot...
I'm from India and meaning of "tu kitni acchi hai" means that how nice you are.. this is the most beautiful and emotional song dedicated to every mother.. and obviously Neha kakkar is so nice singer 😍
The meaning of last paragraph is that.. mother is the life of children and those are lucky who have mom.. it's a deep sentence bcoz the people who don't that have mom can't understand this😭😍
Tu kitni achhi hai, tu kitni bholi hai {You are so good, You are so innocent Pyaari pyaari hai, o maa o maa O maa, o maa) x. 2 You are so sweet, oh mother} x.2 Ke yeh jo duniya hai, yeh ban hai kaanton ka This world is a forest of thorns Tu phulwaari hai, o maa o maa O maa, o maa You are the flower garden, oh mother, oh mother, oh mother, oh mother (Dukhne laagi hai maa teri aankhiyaan) x.2 {Mother your eyes have started to hurt} x.2 Mere liye jaagi hai tu saari saari ratiyaan You have stayed awake for me so many complete nights Meri nindiyaan pe apni nindiyaan bhi Tune waari hai, For my sleep you have even given up your sleep o maa o maa O maa, o maa oh mother, oh mother, oh mother, oh mother (Tu kitni achhi hai, tu kitni bholi hai {You are so good, You are so innocent Pyaari pyaari hai, o maa o maa O maa, o maa) x. 2 You are so sweet, oh mother} x.2 (Apna nahin tujhe sukh dukh koi) x.2 {You have no happiness or sorrow for yourself} x.2 Main muskaaya tu muskaayi, main roya tu royi You smiled when I smiled, you cried when I cried Mere hansne pe, mere rone pe On my laughing, on my crying Tu balihaari hai, o maa o maa You give up every thing for me o mother, o mother O maa, o maa O mother, o mother (Tu kitni achhi hai, tu kitni bholi hai {You are so good, You are so innocent Pyaari pyaari hai, o maa o maa O maa, o maa) x. 2 You are so sweet, oh mother} x.2 (Maa bachon ki jaan hoti hai) x.2 {For the kids the mother is part of their life} x.2 Voh hote hai kismat waale jinke maa hoti hai Those who have mothers are very lucky Kitni sundar hai, kitni sheetal hai How beautiful you are, how cool you Nyaari nyaari hai, o maa o maa you are unique o mother, o mother O maa, o maa Oh mother, o mother (Tu kitni achhi hai, tu kitni bholi hai {You are so good, You are so innocent Pyaari pyaari hai, o maa o maa O maa, o maa) x. 2 You are so sweet, oh mother} x.2 O maa, o maa Oh mother, o mother
You are trying to analyze emotions with science. Where the variance is because of the lyrics. Would reccomend refering word by word translation while analysis. That will help you to know abt the charachter and its interplay much better.
Yupp, until and unless one doesn't know the language of the song itself, the rational analysis he does is pointless. Especially in Hindi and other languages of Sanskrit-origin, (Hindi is my mother tongue) what one writes and spells is exactly pronounced as it is. So the dance of high and low pitches (the nasality and mouthiness, if you will) is not because the singer wanted to create some drama, but rather because the lyricist him/her-self had meant it to be that way. For example most of the words (helping verbs) denoting respect have an 'Anuswar' over them bringing the nasality to emphasize respect. The thing that lacks in this person's reaction/analysis is his utter disregard to the lyrics and language part which is rather disconcerting for me as a person who has known and heard Hindi since I opened my eyes to this world. I mean this as a constructive criticism and hope that he will try to look up the words and language being spoken not just in case of Indian language songs but also for languages from other part of the world. Because in my view reducing a song to just what we hear and feel upon hearing it is rather overlooking the foundational aspects which give a song and it's lyrics their character. I don't blame an English-speaker this neglect though because of the inherent lack of co-ordination of spelling and the pronunciation of it prevalent in English language.
The lyrics are so powerful, nobody would even notice if she was totally off key. This is true of many Indian singers. While I don’t want to take away any credit from Neha’s excellent rendition, I would go out on a limb to say, there are singers in India who are far from extraordinary and have an undeserved reputation, just because they were lucky enough to sing some songs with excellent lyrics. On a scale of 10, if Indian poetry were at 10, most western poets would be below 5.
Please check out *Faasle* from Coke Studio Season 10 sung by Kaavish and Quratulain Balouch (you can call her QB, haha!). We like you Coke Studio 🇵🇰 reactions. ✌🏼✌🏼
A very over-ornamented version. She's wanting her singing to shine over the message and emotion of the song, I feel. I like your comments, sir. They help one to understand what is necessary to improve one's technical skill, and are not a criticism of the singers.
I would like to recommend you these songs. Do react on these, you ll not regret. 1) Kangna by Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad (Coke Studio) 2) Piya Ghar Aaya by Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad (Coke Studio) 3) Jana Jogi Day Nal by Rizwan & Muzzam (These are cousins of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan) (Coke Studio) 4) Bone Shaker by Usman Riaz (Coke Studio) 5) Decent to The Ocean Floor by Usman Riaz (Coke Studio)
CORRECTION: 2:29 she's saying "maa" which is माँ, and is supposed to sound nasal... it's not a technique that Indian singers use to ease the notes... Hindustani music involves a lot of chest voice and belting, unlike Western music. And most "vocal coaches" analyse the nasal sounds as a vocal technique to sing higher notes, but it's plain lack of knowledge of the language and singing styles. No offence.
hello Carl, your reactions are fabulous and on point. why don't you try to listen to Arabic music.would you start with this one ruclips.net/video/s7ENe1plrbQ/видео.html
Carl, please don't react to this hyped up singer. She is just an average singer with a single voice style. No hate, but being a vocal coach you can see it for yourself if you listen to a few of her songs in succession. She is ok, but nothing great nothing special. And that is being honest.
