- Welcome to my first build guide over my new Vauban Build.
It's strong, flexible, and fully capable of taking on all content in the game.
Also learning more and more of how to make my quality a lot better for my videos, been learning a lot about captura, editing, and sound. It feels nice having a hobby again, other than video games.

This video proved there is multiple metas, it's just a question of difficulty/investment.
Wouldnt even consider this warframe meta. Hes extremely op but gets overshadowed because of the meta warframe builds
@jfern0927 I'd say, if anything, his kps is lacking a bit because he's too stationary. Bastille needs good range and even better duration to feel strong, flechette orb still needs enemies to be armor stripped at higher levels so it requires thoughtful setup. Vauban certainly works and can be made strong but it takes time and he requires much more investment for it than other frames.
If you only want to hide in a corner and found a good place for your bastille and flechette orbs, he does a great job but I'd be lying if I said other warframes can't do that in an even safer way. It's also the only way to really achieve great kps since otherwise you won't lock all enemies with bastille in plays and there is lots of ability management as you need to cast a lot! But even casting a lot and blocking all hallways will result in enemies coming through which you either need to finish with your gun or hope that flechette orb finishes them off.

I used Vauban for the first time in the circuit this week and I was honestly so surprised at how strong he was.. Spamming the flechette orb with my 4th skill was so much fun, this guide released at the perfect time for me ✌️

I'm always happy to see a Vauban joining the squad on pubs since, in my experience, they always know what they are doing and shred enemies most of the time. I only wish that happen more often. I'll give it a shot once I have more violet shards to test the electricity damage by myself.

Vauban was one of my first warframes, back when fusion cores were hoarded, you still needed void keys and T4 defense rocked... It's still my most used frame, by a long shot. I'm really glad to meet another crazy grenade enthusiast that gives him the same love I do; you've got a new subscriber. Keep it going!

Awesome new build, even though maybe a bit beyond my current scope. Your previous Vauban guide is what really got me into him. I immediately went out and bought his prime set. Now he's my go-to frame for any high level content. Keep up the incredible work.

Yooooo Thank you so much! I had only Vauban this week on Elite Deep Archmedea, and your build made me carry the thing, even outdamaging a Kullervo and a Mesa(After 50 kills of course, ability disabled before that). Really made me reevaluate the guy!
I think the Professor just has a thing for frames with "ban" at the end.
Tried this build. I went down from time to time because I'm so used to using Vortex instead of Bastille. Bastille make this build shine and it increases your survivability as well. Flechette Orb hit like a truck! So awesome.
For a while now, I've used Vortex build Spectrorage/Spectrosiphon mod with as much range as I can, so I can spam Vortex (spamming vortex increases its pull strengrh). Flechette Orb/ Photon Strike combo are awesome.
So now I have Bastille and Vortex build...thank you👍

as an old timer vauban main. he's still shown as my most played frame. But lately i feel like everything i loved about him is just toned down. its nice to see builds like this though. makes me wanna mess around with him againa

Thank you for the build it got me to go back to maining vauban prime and used him to clear steel path star chart solo finally.
Fun fact tesla nervos are also a great choice for caliban too (He has a great armor strip ability with his 4 and his 2 lets you really amp up the damage as well), just throw on the augment and its good to go. Vauban is a treat and he even can bless other frames :D

Dude, its because of you I've picked up Caliban and Vauban, and holy crap you are amazing. I know that people diss frames and weapons when anything in this game can be made viable, but you know how to truly display that. Thank you so much for this piece of work ❤❤❤ Edit: For electric weapons have you tried the Basmu? its become one of my favorite gimmick weapons and it has innate electric to try out
i saw that stream and my immediate thought was "dysto is gonna cook him for this"
i love booben, too. My advice for the shield gate build: use normal vauban for lower shields to be able to shield gate with both minelayer and tesla nervos, drop tesla bank and insert Vigorous swap mainly for flechette orb, drop sure footed for cunning drift for that much needed extra range because range is hard to get and run unairu for the immunity. Also, i use roar as equilibrium and a panzer replenish energy well enough + you get energy back from tesla nervos with archon stretch. Apart from that, it's exactly my build. i also use yellow shards for casting speed and red shards for duration which is also highly important on him ;) (i run arcane acceleration in place of aegis, but that is flexible)

Bro I just started playin Warframe again and I have been doing everything the free way and the first warframe I built was Vauban and even at level one I thought he had a lot of potential and even if he was a bust, oh well it was free. But seeing you hit 13+ mil damage without firing a bullet or swinging a melee has me pretty hyped to have him as my first built warframe.
Edit: ok I posted this before watching the whole video and shortly after saw the numbers at cap and I am in shock lol dayuuummm I'm stoked to have him!

I've come to learn Vauban's a scary frame. With dispensary and the right setup, you can tame an entire room and the two rooms beside it. Enemies with armor? throw his 4. Eximus units? throw his four and slow them. acolytes? throw his four and slow them. Need to group enemies? vortex them and drop another 4 to keep your passive 1k armor up. need to kill the group fast? use your spiky ball of death or your air strike. they both scale and do great damage. need just a little more damage? use your damage booster. i've never seen a more versatile warframe thats able to also become tanky. If i will, he's a CC god with scaling ability damage. after learning the ways of vauban, i have never looked at him the same.

Just started back playing... after taking a day thinking, which Teno i wanted to purchase, the one that screamed, "fun filled destruction," was Vauban. He is sooo much fun.
I have even more powerful build for Vauban but it is a classified and can't share it publicly because i am afraid to nerfs, but this build is working similar and it is also very sick and good. Thanks for sharing this video because many peoples thinks Vauban is a trash. We disagree :D

Hey a fellow Vauban enjoyer! -Though, I'm sorry to tell you this given how prominent it was in the video, but the Vigilante set bonus from companion weapons is a well known visual bug. It does not work. I'm pretty sure DE did that purposefully in a patch a few years ago now because it was too strong.-
I run a version of the health tank build, but I use Resonator for the safety it provides. I also prefer to spread viral and electricity with a Melee Influence setup instead of Nourish.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Overdriver. It's a universal faction damage buff, like roar, that can get pretty silly on a power strength build.
Was waiting for this, only gladiator got changed to not work this way.

I also tend to forget about Overdriver personally, button management is something I like to keep at a minimal.

@@ProfessorDysto I appreciate the correction. I'd even watched that video before, as it happens. But it seems misinformation is sticky. Not that it helps that DE is known for these kinds of shenanigans...
I do have to play some conciertos with my tired fingers to keep Overdriver up alongside everything else, it's true (worse with Resonator, even). But when I'm fully ramped up it gives >40% faction damage which is just too good to pass up. It'd be higher if I weren't using Precision Intensify over Umbral these days.
I've occasionally gotten over 150% in Duviri and the Circuit. The only problem is getting it to stick to teammates, so it ends up being mostly a self buff.

Every time ive played with Vauban is in SP Circuit and they've hard carried up to and through cap. Dunno what the man at the start was smoking
It's wacky how so many underrated frametubers can start their videos by displaying the big name content creators being downright ignorant or attempting to make bait. Like, there's so many of their audience following them for the same old revenant torid build meta and see no boringness or repetivity in it? This is why I follow content like this, gives something diverse and actually fun to watch/play with.
Also, 2 crafted vauban primes gang! I can't wait to try out this build, I've only hit millions in flechette damage within duviri, so it'll be cool to try out whatever that can further buff the flechette orbs outside of duviri!
those big content creators barely play the game. they are employed by DE because of their reach, not game knowledge or activity. that being said... it's not like that wf is a deep complicated game to begin with and you can pretty much do anything with the low difficulty ceiling (old AI, way too simple game modes outside of VC and still only 9999 lvl cap)
I came back to the game a couple months ago after 5ish years....I just need Vauban's systems...

Don't forget about Overdriver too, I don't mention it but it's another layer of free damage as well!
There is a melee setup I use for the labs one demos that could work with this build. High status with viral electricity and then the corrosive arcane. Put that on Ceti Lacera and it's over. I'm definitely trying this Vauban build
I've been using zenurik on my vauban for a long time and i noticed that the 1 and 2 don't use the free ability cast ( making you cast them indefinitely if you dont use 3 or 4 ), so running a shield gate with augurs doesn't work as good.

1:10 Jeez I don’t watch Bromine but that was an odd point to get stuck on lol.
I love the way Vauban can run so many different builds and still do just about anything someone says he can’t. I’m also a Vauban main and prefer a more passive style so I run with hydroids 1 over his 3 and a nice robo dog to remove guns and prime.
After watching, I think I should give the Alternox and his Tesla augment another shot. Also excited for the companion builds video!

Brozime's takes on warframe are very noob oriented. He kinda surrounds himself around with players still learning the game, then acts like an elitist. The way he turned out is pretty lame
@@ttrobin96 oh that’s not very fun. But I guess he’s still helping new players at the end of the day? Vauban just doesn’t seem very new player friendly so that probably guided his opinion I guess.
@@_AgniKai I mean not really? Vauban may not be as simple as Rhino but its not like he's Lavos either. 1 is rolling balls that shock and stun enemies that can also do damage with the augment, 2 is a wheel of grenades where only one is consistently worth it and the rest are either situational or in desperate need of some kind of buff, (but I think most people would at least be able to recognize that tether coil is literally useless) his 3 can be worth it with the augment and early on its still gonna slay, and his 4 is still one of the kings of CC as well as a good armor strip. It's not THAT complicated, I seriously don't get brozime's view on him and honestly a couple others in that list. Imo the only time he's not new player friendly is in new player hostile missions that they probably don't even have access to

A nova Umbral collab is not something that I knew I needed until now.
FYI as a fun tip, you can glitch the Repelling Bastille augment in his exilus slot by swapping configs with helminth augments on them, example: I used proteas dispensary augment in the exilus on 1 config and swapped the build over onto another config without the ability. This confuses the game tries to supplement the missing augment with another mod.
Now the mod you want to squeeze into the exilus depends on luck and which mod is closest to the dispensary augment name, I got Repelling Bastille.
Usually this bug happens and is visual but not fully with this augment because it only ignores the 1st part of the augment and still works with the vortex duration effect.
Not very useful but c'mon you gotta get the ultimate Vauban build.

@@ProfessorDysto ok I tested it again and they patched the abilities not transferring from swapping from configs so I don't think this will work anymore, but I still have the mod equipped on my build and it still works soo
A bit of a tip, I don't think you'll need the electricity on the dirigas weapon to proc archon stretch, as it's not the status that procs it but ability damage. Second, modding for viral is a HUGE waste on this type of build as nourish actually attaches viral to the weapon already, and since you don't need it to shoot, it's not gonna do much more. I'd recommend something like gas so it can tap more people with synth deconstruct more, and cold just for some extra AOE slow down. But for more consistent electric procs for the purple shard sticking with electric is good there (honestly I should do that myself).
Additional things of note, if your nourish is strong enough, a single violent shard can have energy gain buffed enough that health orbs act like a normal equilibrium without nourish. If you find yourself without strong need of that much energy, well worth it imo.
Another open concept, if you're focusing more on your secondary to do damage, you can possibly use something like the fulmin for energy gain, since with a full primary exhilarate, that's 3 energy per second that gets boosted by nourish. I used to use that til there was a primary I wanted to use. But this option would good if you weren't running the vigilante set up and where more focused on shield gating with the augur + brief respite setup.

The viral damage on primaries is kind of a waste but I wanted to put something that was reliable for people to use even if nourish isn't active. I do have different element set ups for different builds though.
I need to try that out with nourish once the changes get implemented. Hopefully it's still reliable to do that combo with the violet shard.
And that's actually genius with the fulmin, I have a kitgun built that does the same but it's also a primer too.

Im one who always love Vauban, actually i decide to start play this game since i see Utuber play him on Warframe. I always love trap master, he is my very first frame that i aim for since i start play this game and still love it.
I put two umbral formas on my vooban and I'm going insane now lol
The main thing for the build is just moving nourish to his third, having the violet shards, Tesla Bank, and the companion build. You can easily replace or move stuff to accommodate for that maybe even be stronger!

Ain't surprised Brozime's takes are coming from their own ignorance. But then I've come to expect it from someone who's too much of a meta slave.
When your as big of a content creator has he has become you tend to forget things when only focusing on the new all the time.
In my own tier list I don't see putting any frame below C tier because they're all great, but not all are fun personally and I don't have perfect builds. I just think that each frame has different strengths and I play what is fun, not meta. I prefer Wisp, Caliban, Gauss, Protea, Nekros, Kullervo, Citrine, Oberon and sometimes Harrow or Voruna.

you could also use universal base damage mods..like vigorous swap or arcane arachne..these work the same way like his overdriver orb its also a much larger dmg boost

This might be a stupid question but I noticed that his crosshair is different than the default one a lot of the time, like at 6:51 why is this? I'm newer and haven't seen anything like this before. Thanks!
that is because he's using an incarnon weapon, kind of a late game thing. incarnon weapons have different crosshair than normal weapons to signal their gimmicks.
edit: in the clip you see the trumna and lex prime, both have special gimmicks and special crosshairs to show it. trumna is not an incarnon weapon but the lex is, once you slot in an incarnon adapter.
14:51 when you say "extra electric damage", are you referring to the electric damage that innately comes on those weapons? the damage that comes from the shards? or the damage from your abilities?
All three actually.
I probably should have explained it better.
But the purple shard will help ensure electric damage on your primary and also saving you a mod slot.
For secondaries you can mod in electric or use the arcane Conjunction Voltage and take advantage of the free reload speed and multishot.
Plus the servos and the companion build can spread the electric procs very well ensuring every enemy is primed for max damage from you.
Innate electric weapons are really good as well, giving you an extra mod slot too!

i love non meta warframes is why i main chroma i was thinknig of making another solo frame and was thinkning of oberion or harrow or frost or vauban i think vaubam is good cos u can do alott of damage and cc is why im leaning to him alott
How do you feel about the augment coming out? I have a chroma built up and enjoyed playing him but wanted to see if I can take him further.

He mainly uses gloom on all frames thats it.
So, does Tenacious Bond's Final CD apply to the crit damage of Gyre's abilities? It'd be pretty cool if it did.
After doing some testing it looks like it does not, probably because it is an aura ability instead of an attachment ability like Vaubans flechette orb. it could also be the simulacrum bugged out for it, but I am not noticing any major difference outside of the simulacrum either.

Brozime's game knowledge has always been subpar. He doesnt seem to pay attention to what other people are doing, and lags behind because of it. He was calling the soma prime the best weapon in the game like 2 years after it had left the meta

i just wish that minelayer would just be a press or hold between tether and flechette orb, then move overdriver to photon strike making it into a press to throw photon strike or hold for overdriver, then bastille doesnt collapse into vortex when you try to throw a vortex...
What are your recommendations for secondaries with this setup? Kindly a Train enthuthiast
So some fairly obvious choices are Ocucor(with augment), Epitaph for it's status spread, and the Nukor because Nukor.
Some personal picks of mine would be Grimoire, since the mod that causes enemies to lose shields and armor in affinity range can be carried on by Flechette orbs, all you need to do is tap enemies once with the book. Also more stats and easy element spread.
Furis Incarnon, amazing single target damage that can absolutely melt hoards as well.
A sporelacer kit gun, preferably focused on damage and crit.
And our brand new secondary Incarnon the Onos, both forms are absolute monsters with Vauban.

Hey, I had a Vauban player with me recently in duviri. I was playing Wisp using Cernos Prime as my weapon with the duviri default mods. I noticed thanks to my Vauban teammate I would randomly do several millions up to hundred million dmg with Cernos prime, which heavily confused me. I noticed those damage number appear everytime I kill something with a headshot and then something nearby takes like 100million dmg out of nowhere. Do you happen to have any idea what exactly the vauban player did?
That's fairly hard to determine especially since it's in Duviri. Certain cards could be boosting you in a way that make it hard to tell what is truly affecting you. Same with the Vauban you where playing with, he could have been running something Like a Roar helminth in his build.
But also since you where Wisp you where potentially seeing Breach Surge numbers off of Vauban's flechette orbs. Armor strip and Overdriver are also a factor, it's a lot of button maintenance to keep Overdriver on everyone.
My best guess is it was your Breach Surge giving you massive numbers that you saw randomly, but I can't give you 100% an answer with the given information especially in Duviri.
@@ProfessorDysto Oh it might have been Breach Surge from flechette orbs. I didn't know it can trigger like that. On the first wave where I only selected a card that gave me energy regen I already saw numbers at 84million+.

Did you test to see if there were any funny interactions with melee influence and the electric procs?
Sadly I didn't bother to try anything while the bug was around. I tend to stay away from glitches and bugs.

0:30 I like his summaries of devstreams, extensive and easy to understand, but for Warframe builds... Brozime just sucks a lot of the time. Constantly dumps on Vauban and Frost, who are great at what they do and does stupid/funny ones like when Dante released:

how long does it take to get to level cap ?
Depends on the game mode.
Survival can take up to 8 hours.
Cascade is the fastest and takes about 2ish hours.
Disruption can take anywhere between 2-3 hours, really depends on luck and coordination.
And in circuit it takes a little over an hour I think.
Each game mode has it's own level scaling set to it, so it's really about patience and how much time you have.

@@arcane1012 im not very well versed in caliban's kit but id assume, like all the other frames, that there are builds that make his abilities worth using.
@@slightlyhomeless454 There are some builds, but it's not great tbh. His first ability is hot garbage and should never be used. His second is arguably the only one of his abilities that's actually good out of the box. His third is only really worth it for pulling a bit of aggro and his fourth needs like 300% power strength and a considerable increase to casting speed to be worthwhile.
@@slightlyhomeless454 He's gotten quite a bit better since the shield gate rework. All you need is a way to kickstart the shield Regen from his lads. I use condemn personally. Other than that, his 2 and 4 effectively enough CC and strip.
Honestly, he's still not my favorite but he isn't the outright garbage he used to be.

It will affect the damage a little bit, but everything else will still be perfectly fine in my opinion.
A lot of people overreacted on the changes but I personally think it is a buff at the same time, it allows your weapons to have a better element balance as well.
