Many states require that auxilliary lights to not shine outward from the vehicle more than a certain distance to allow for on road use. Some colors, such as red and blue are completely restricted for use other than emergency vehicles. Also, white cannot be used on the rear of the vehicle, due to that being a universal signal for reverse. This install is aimed toward obeying those laws, while increasing night visiblity to other motorists. Please be sure using such lights are allowed in your state or area before installing.
I did actually. I went to the dealership to buy an SV650, and while I was there, I checked out the FZ07, due to it being very similar. It felt quite a bit wider to me, even though the height is almost identical. At the time I was looking, the Z650 had just came out, and I was completely unaware it existed. The guy that was helping me showed it to me, and let me mess around with it for a bit. As soon as I sat on it, I knew I wanted it. It felt the best to me of all three models. Being a shorter person, I was after the most comfortable, yet sporty bike I could find, and it fit the bill perfectly. Plus, I really liked the styling of it. It basically came down to what felt the best to me.
I will try the mt07 and the z650 this weekend. One of them will be my new bike. I am really looking forward to experience the difference between them. I give the z650 a plus for the good looks. The colour combo white-green-black is the best i have seen in a while. Its not as sick as the colours on HRC CBR1000 rr... but still great looking.
Ok. Thanks for your oppinion. I guess Im in the same place you was just before buying. I gotta try them out all three before making my decision, but I got to tell you, I think the z650 is the best looking!
It’s located on the top, right side of the bike. Remove the black plastic trim around the ignition and you will see it. Remove the 4 silver screws holding the trim in place, then slide it forward to release the locking tabs.
Tremonte thank u so much one more question .if i am replacing the flasher relay is it straight forward (remove the old and plug the new)or do we need to do some wire cutting and put this????? How is it installed .. i cant find any vid on net for z650.... plz help me to do it my self And is there a nessecity to replace the flasher relay if im installing a led turn signals. Plz help
It’s two wires. You can get a “plug and play” style for around $30, or a universal that you will have to put standard spade terminals on. Those are $2.
Tremonte thank u but i dint understand it can u make a quick vid explaining it it will be a great ....if u dont mind ... also i think many people also will want to c that vid Im bought this one -- ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1QEAoab1YBuNjSszeq6yblFXaB/12V-2-Pin-42W-LED-Flasher-Relay-Turn-Signal-Indicator-Adjustable-Frequency-For-Motorcycle-Motorbike-Fix.jpg
I am working on a video right now that deals with lighting. I’ll add some info in there about the flasher wiring for you. Should have the video up in a day or so.

this is awesome! Lol I've got a list of things I'm going to do now when I get back and get my z650!
That's sick. Would this be possible to do with RGB lighting?
Sure is. They make a multicolor kit. There is another company that makes one that is controlled via bluetooth and an app on your phone.
That's dope. Thanks for letting me know.
Could you tell me where I can find the starter relay solenoid? Would I have to remove the gas tank?
love it ! I will think about adding this !!!
Nice light kit. I'd like to do something like that to mine but I'm too afraid to disassemble it. Lol
It's not hard at all, just take your time until you get familiar with how the parts fit. Most are just held in my rubber bushings and 2-3 screws.
That looks really neat!
Im wondering.. Did you try the yamaha mt07 (fz07) before you got your bike? And why did you choose the kawa?

Both are great bikes. Good Luck!

thanks!
Does this bike suffer with vibrations like the old er6n
simon40sp it does have a little between 4000-6000 rpms but smoothes out. It's nothing that will bother you on long rides.
