    Can anyone answer the question sir asked regarding the compaction concept regarding dry density and saturation density at optimum moisture content?

    • @VisualPoetaster
      @VisualPoetaster Год назад +2

      yes.. in compaction curve 100% saturation and 0 % Air void line get coincide . That mean at 100% saturation we will get 100% compaction of soil so air inside soil voids get reduces to 0% . THAT'S WHY Sir introduced a word "Theoretically" because in Practically we never get 100% compaction and 0% air void . so the ans is .. simply we cant achive 100% compaction of soil so we go for max dry density not for 100% dry density.

      Can u pls explain properly??
      Why it's call max dry density??
      Why not saturation density??
      This was the question.

    Can anybody explain me why compreseive strength of cube is more than the concrete cylinder???

    • @Follower090
      @Follower090 3 месяца назад

      Concrete cubes have a higher compressive strength than cylinders because the smaller area subjected to loading in a cube test results in greater confinement. This confinement resists specimen expansion and results in more compressive strength.
