- In todays video which features Tony Grey on Bass, Jazzduets will start each Lick on the 3rd of an F7 chord.
This may seem academic and rigid, but the juice is worth the squeeze,
as this discipline ´corners´ us in to searching for solutions, ultimately expanding our
horizons and creativity.

I hearby declare this channel as the BEST jazz improv teaching channel on You Tube.
I almost agree, but there are some other great ones out there, especially pianists. Can we say Nick is the best horn playing teacher on RUclips and make another category for some terrific piano teachers (I'll name one: Amy Nolte; other excellent ones)?
I transcribed the 40 licks of this four bebop tutorial to play in every key with different fingering, range, phrasing and even dynamics!. Love your work Nick!. Thanks a lot, best wishes.
Do you have them in guitar pro or something?
Brooon do you have the tabs PLEASE?
I couldn’t be happier about purchasing this pack! These tools are taking my playing to the level I’ve always wanted to be at but had no road map to get there. Thank you!
Great stuff! Love it, thank you !!!
Always the best way to study Jazz. I'm doing all these studies during the pandemic lockdowns. Thanks.
Love these licks on the dominant 7th. They're all beautiful! Thanks, Nick. They sound so great when you play them on soprano. Once in a while they sound great on my trumpet, not too often, alas. But this is inspiring me. Confession: I bought the 84 licks book a while back and then kind of forgot about it to work on something else (I play in a big band, the charts are hard and I spend too much time on them). Anyway, this stuff is FUN; I'm off to the "woodshed" now.
creo que no hay un pedagogo musical como este en toda la red, eres un genio de la enseñanza....desde Venezuela gracias.
Another great tutorial Nick.
Simply amazing. Love it! Hope your having a good day! take care.
Entertaining, brilliant, and easy to learn from. Thanks
Your videos help me so much. Thank you!!!
Something about listening to a pro bassist play melodic bebop lines; sweeeet.
Absolutely Fantastic !!!
Really enjoyed this video.
Amazing video, thanks!
¡Wow! I love your way of teaching man. You're great. Just that. Keep it up!

Hello magister!!
супер!
Anyone know who's bebop artist now on sax, i want to hear all his songs
Thank you! 😊
Listen to the real creators like Bird, Dizzy and Monk. Bebop has been around a long time but now that sax players are no longer believing that they have to play like Kenny G to get laid they are checking it out. Good luck!
@@Herehear49 " they have to play like Kenny G to get laid". That cracked me up!
Any one here who plays guitar?
I'm already playng! hahaha
