Thank you ever so much for showing us how to take apart the cyclone in order to clean it. I've had my Dyson DC14 since 2008 and never knew that the cyclone could be opened and saw that it was absolutely filthy. I now know how to clean it thoroughly thanks to your video. You are a true blessing!
Me too!!! I bought a Dyson DC14 at a pawn shop just to have a 3rd vacuum cleaner. It took me 2 years to find the filter. I did have it serviced and cleaned, but now I know how to do it thoroughly. I also notice some attachments that I do not have. I'm going to see if I can purchase them somewhere. Now I know what that long pole and hose is for. Thank you so much.
Bro thank you, I found one of these by a dumpster, seen some videos talk about cleaning but you showed me 3 or 4 diff ones that no one else brought up that I wondered how you'd clean that area. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for the video. You went straight to the point, clear and direct explantations. Good pace too. I have my Dyson for 15 years and works perfectly! Just needs a major cleaning and your tutorial will be a great help. I just purchase the 2 filter at Amazon and Voila! A new vacuum will be born. Thanks again!
This is the first comment I’ve left on a RUclips in my 15 years of watching but I had to tell the two of you making this hands down, best tutorial I have ever seen, I genuinely appreciate your speed functionality and how you not only showed how to clean it but made it so easy to follow and reassemble while I’m doing mine. I gotta tell you tho, Your lady helping, her random whisper scared the crap outta me at first lol She sounded like a ghost 😂
OMG your "how to" video was great!!!! I have had my Dyson for a longtime and didn't know all the parts that should be cleaned. I've only have purchased extra filters so when I wash the old filters I have a replacement while the old filter is drying... Thanks to your video I'll be doing a spring cleaning today and make it ready for more jobs to come. :-) AGAIN,THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for putting this video up. I was able to properly clean my Dyson for the first time since I got it because of your tutorial 😀 I’m definitely going to give my vacuum a couple of days to dry even if it dried in the sun, can’t be too careful with water and electricity ☠️
Watched your video and fixed a d cleaned the vacuum. Now works perfectly a d wife happy. Did not have to buy a new vacuum. Replaced both filters as well.
Thank you for the tutorial. Most appreciated. Just got a used Dyson, same model as yours and got stuck on how to pop the top. From then on, piece of cake... Again thanx for your tutorial! It really helped! 👍
your video has given me the confidence to pull my dc14 and totally clean it out to improve suction. next I need to look up how to change the belt as my rotator bar is stubborn and only sometimes spins! I'm hoping this will save me hundreds of dollars in servicing charges on my out of warranty machine.
I cleaned mine with your video. I almost vomited with the amount of hair. Great job! My only issue is that it still does not suction, nor does roller brush spin.
Thanks for the video. I️ mostly use my dyson because of my dogs. Between shedding hair and going inside the house before I️ carpet clean it tends to get super dirty. Low key excited to use it again, I️ feel like it’ll work better than before
@@joshjanor9429 the container assembly itself doesn’t necessarily need to be taken apart. Just Remove the filter. Then you can clean the whole container assembly while it’s still together.

I realize you’ve moved on from making these types of videos, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for filming this. I really appreciate it.

Bless you. I needed to replace the filters and could not figure out how to get to them. The Dyson website did not help. You did.

Good video… but how do you remove the brush roller. No hair on yours… mine’s all wrapped up in hair!
thank you,this video help me.
Thanks!
You bet!
Nice doggie!
very helpful! But I CANNOT do the thing you do at 1:26. I just blew it out and gave up.
I have the same problem any time I have to use those types of clips. Only cracked it a little bit 😀
Thank you so much for this
I can't get the yellow cyclone part off of the main body. Pulling the release under the handle doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?
I’m having trouble getting off a piece of the vacuum. Worried if clean it with attached to the part will destroy the part. 😩
Dang, not sure what the outcome will be or how to solve that. One way to find out.
@@colearandall it’s the tube part inside the filter part??
@@joshjanor9429 is it something I took apart in the video?
@@colearandall Yes. One of the first pieces that you took apart
