    Great video. Will be starting at a recruitment position within a week so this is very timely advice. Was just wondering how someone who has had success in this role tends to structure their day?

    • @kateoneillrecruitmentcoaching
      @kateoneillrecruitmentcoaching  2 года назад

      Every consultant will have their own way of working, but what I used to do was start at around 8am so I had an hour to check through my emails, check any applications that had come in overnight and get prepared for the day. I'd usually then call candidates in the morning to screen them thoroughly, block them for any jobs I had and schedule them in for F2F meetings with me. In the afternoon I would be calling clients, looking over the jobs I was working on and focusing on the areas that needed coverage. Some days I was on the road all day going to meet my candidates, so that was a totally different routine! To be honest I was very flexible with how I worked my day and would prioritise in the morning what needed to be done and when. As new things got thrown at me, I'd re-evaluate my priority list and make the appropriate changes - for example I might have a client call that is high on the priority list, so I would do that first thing.
      Hope that helps! I'll most likely to a video soon around day structure and planning.

    Recruitment agencies should be abolished! its legal racketeering. Job agencies cost the average minimum wage worker £2-3 per hour. thats about £500 per month or £5-6k per year. In the global information age we're in the "middleman" in client to client communication has no part in todays professional sector.

      Sorry you feel that way. I've been in the recruitment industry a long time and feel there's never been more of a need for our profession than right now. We all have differing opinions in this world, which is what makes it so interesting, so I appreciate your views and understand not everyone will see the benefits of it. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my content, I really do appreciate it.
