That jet is the perfect size and it is repairable over and over. I’m only two years into it but when I got mine I was really new and crashed it 20 times. I have a new in box one still haven’t opened
@@GBLynden lol my lack of skills. But mostly since the gear don’t stay on anymore I had to belly land and after the first time snapping off the front fuse, it was vulnerable to belly lands. It’s not a great shape to land like that and the nose grabs into the grass. Which put a lot of pressure on that repair area
Hmmm thinking this will be my next purchase... Twin 30mm fans are so sweet. Love the A-10... performance of a jet yet flies like a trainer and looks EPIC!! That "peanut scheme" livery (From everything I've read anyway) Was a desert storm idea that never made it onto the birds in real life which was a shame. Epic livery and the sheer presence is far better than green or grey. I Have the twin 64mm Banana Hobby version of the A-10 (Yep... she's a oldie!!) and it's just perfect... still.. a complete doddle to fly! The retracts and having those 64mm fans and motors balanced made a HUGE difference. Sounds like a proper hairdryer now lol...
Oh yeah brother!! I love umx in general and this one is a must have . Totally agree with you on the sound ( my neighbors don’t really appreciated that 😂) but she’s fun to fly . Thank you for sharing .

You are welcome Alex! The battery was farther back on the first two flights. Note that each one of these plane’s CG can vary a bit due to their small size and the way they are put together. For example, the amount of glue used etc 👊🏻💥👊🏻
It's flys great but is to delicate for belly landings on grass strips. Unfortunately you can't do a wheel landing on grass either. If you have a smooth surface runway, your set, otherwise expect to do a lot of repairs.
And you even got the revised v2 A10, in that they added the rectangular boss of foam around the nose gear post. Mine broke the foam pipe the post goes through on the fourth flight, caused by cross wind on landing.
I am sorry to hear about you crash! I bought mine from the first batch, so it sounds strange to me that mine would be any different then the others from the batch. Are you going to get another one?

I love the A-10 as well . I have the 64mm too but haven't flown that yet either . To much snow and cold where i am right now .

There's a gravel driveway where I fly. My umx a10 is airborne in 10 feet on it. Its amazing! (Tho my 2 unsuccessful hand launches weren't.) NOT a fan of the up elevator in at wide open throttle.
I've had mine for 2 weeks now, but can't fly it because the adapter to charge the battery is back ordered everywhere! Leave it to HH to redesign a model and add a one and only new connection to the list of required adapters to purchase!!

No, this plane needs a lot of space to fly, even though it is small. It is also a horrible option for a second plane as it is small, fast, and the CG is picky. It takes skill to fly it enough to get the CG dialed in. It is attainable, but it would be closer to a 4th plane than a second plane. When you zoom in tight and lose sight of the ground, the viewer cannot tell what the plane is doing. The ground reference is essential for judging speed and altitude. Without it, the plane is just bouncing around in front of a blue screen. But, most people who video RC planes in flight zoom way in. I wish they didn't.
I totally understand why you said that and I agree to an extent. Here is the reason why no one with the ability to zoom in does not utilize that, especially with a small, fast plane like this one. The reason is the camera will fuzz out like crazy and/or they will not be able to track it because it is too small to see otherwise. You can certainly catch some hat cam videos with the plane looking like a spec in the sky for most of the flight, but that doesn’t fit the bill for most either. I hope that helps shed some insight into that.

You are very welcome, but I must also say that planes this size can have CG that varies a lot from plane to plane. That means your CG may be different than mine, depending on which part of the batch your receive. JohnVHRC and I both needed more weight in the front, but others have needed it farther back.
There is good and bad here with this plane. The bad is it is similar foam. The good is they added carbon fiber on the weak points and really made it strong. The V1 really sucked IMO, but this one was worth every single penny for me 😎

Yes, the rule of thumb for this plane is to remove the landing gear if only grass terrain is your only option for a flying surface.

I was told, when full throttle with safe on, there's a programmed mix to add a 2-5% up elevator. Supposed to aid in taking off.

The aggressive ones are the highly sensitive battery warning alarm. The little beeps are either the timer or me dropping below 25% throttle 👊🏻💥👊🏻

Without it, the plane is just bouncing around in front of a blue screen. But, most people who video RC planes in flight zoom way in. I wish they didn't.
I totally understand why you said that and I agree to an extent. Here is the reason why no one with the ability to zoom in does not utilize that, especially with a small, fast plane like this one. The reason is the camera will fuzz out like crazy and/or they will not be able to track it because it is too small to see otherwise. You can certainly catch some hat cam videos with the plane looking like a spec in the sky for most of the flight, but that doesn’t fit the bill for most either. I hope that helps shed some insight into that.

You are very welcome, but I must also say that planes this size can have CG that varies a lot from plane to plane. That means your CG may be different than mine, depending on which part of the batch your receive. JohnVHRC and I both needed more weight in the front, but others have needed it farther back.
What type of foam is this? EPP? Cheers.
Their website lists it as EPO, but I think that is false. It is the same old cheap UMX Foam that makes these small planes fly well 👊🏻💥👊🏻
@@GBLynden is it fragile? I had a Axion biplane micro and it snapped its wing from a 4ft stall. So stiff and brittle just like packing polystyrene.
There is good and bad here with this plane. The bad is it is similar foam. The good is they added carbon fiber on the weak points and really made it strong. The V1 really sucked IMO, but this one was worth every single penny for me 😎
