ive started planting fruiting plants like escarpment black cherry, dewberry, and beautyberry to try and attract birds, who may drop some seeds from other riparian areas around the austin area. ive also been building small dams to play the role beavers did back before they were hunted into extinction here. doing all that shit can make a seasonal creek into a perennial one.
By small dams, do you mean beaver dam analogs? Stakes driven into the streambed with woven branches between? Great work! I'm glad you have created an environment for birds and other wildlife.
