When you got rid of the spool, I was cringing. It looks like a large empty spool of thread and all us sewing and quilting ladies decorate with that type of thing. If you have any quilting or sewing shops in your area, you could probably find out if they would be interested in them, you might also get more money if they are painted. Ask. Keep Scrapin, love it
Greetings Mike. You're dangerous on the bike, if you do the go cart we're in trouble. Great treasures there. PLEASE PLEASE be CAREFUL out there getting those treasures. Be safe, healthy &blessed always
My family had the Atari 800 back in about '79 or '80, I think? Our first computer and we would write simple BASIC programs with it and we had a number of game cartridges. Man, that brings me back.
2:29 The 8-Bit Guy loves that stuff. That Atari 800 is a gaming console/personal computer. Gonna find a CRT TV for it, though, but it could cost a bit of money with the right buyer.
"What up dumpster?! Lookin for some scrappy scrap and wirage!" Just see u on that greenmachine going down a huge hill screaming "alright alright alllrriightt!!!"?
I was at a doctor's appointment today and as I was walking down the hallway I heard someone say, "Alright, alright, alright!..." I thought for a moment that Mike The Scavenger was working in the hospital🤣🤣🤣
Atari hooks up to the tv as I recollect, that was your monitor. Dig Dug was a pretty popular game in the early 80s, research it, may be a minor payday. Round silver thing is not a bell, it is a bathtub enclosure clothes line. Pull the string out and attached to a clip on the opposite wall over the tub. Wet clothes dripped into the tub, not your floor.
35:36 - the thing with the wound-up string is a laundry line. You could hang a few clothes on that. The nub on the front of the line would attach to an anchor in the opposite wall. These used to be common in hotel/motel showers so you could dry your swim suit after going in the pool. I don't think I have ever seen one in a home.
I’ve seen young guys in front of me going down a steep curvy road on their skate board in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You got a lot of stuff. Good long entertaining video👍👍
35:34 It is an expanding clothesline for a bathroom or laundry room for Mrs. Scavengers delicates. That one appears to be broken. It should also have a bracket for opposite wall for line to clip in.
I made a comment on a new video that you put out saying that I remember when you rode your bike and then went to get Dottie. I logged on today and RUclips had this video waiting for me to watch that I didn't see yet!! I found you during the lock down and you helped my family kill hours of fun watching them. We missed this one and RUclips made sure I seen it ❤ Never change Mike you are funny we love when you beat up the dumpsters and use the sound affects 😂😂 and we always say Watch U'r head 😂😂 Thank you XOXO Ps. The "bell" is a line that women put in the bathroom to hang up there bras and underwear.
Mike you are going to seriously hurt yourself on that bike your not a spring chicken anymore. Getting in and out of those dumpsters is playing havoc on your knees and back. We all live vicariously through your video so please be careful. God Bless and take care.
I am going through the channel, to find the old videos three to four years' old, that I haven't watched. If you inventoried the items you found over the last four years, it would be in the several hundred thousands, by now.
Harley little "saddlebags" are the glove box inserts for the front lower fairings. They do have some value. The speakers, maybe. Too bad you passed up the black circular probably plastic speaker grills in that same dumpster as they go with that whole setup.
Anything in the safe? Take a metal chisel and hammer it down the front seam center to open it. On a side note I know someone that bought a locked sentry safe at a yard sale for a $1 and they found $800 inside after paying a locksmith to open it.
I hope this never happens but when I watch you in the dumpster I'm just hoping someone dont through a big bag of nasty on you and not know your in there 😫 love the vids you the man mike from your number one fan tell dottie we said hi from bloomfield Indiana
The thing with the retractable string is a cloths line. I've repaired and installed hundreds of them. Keep rocking Mike
That must be an old school clothesline before Mike's time. I think the last time I saw it was fifty years ago.
I’m glad I found you. All this research is amazing.
Sell the spool that the wire comes on and make more money than selling the wire. Crafters love the spools.
Crafters love everything
@@meemou Not me 😢

The chrome thing that you don't know the purpose is a bathroom clothesline.

That 1st pile was awesome
Sell that Atari 800 for parts. People buy them up to pull workings chips, replace keys or the shell. Still worth some coin as is untested for parts.
Lots of good stuff mike...love your videos😊😊😊😊
Those little Dell Optiplexes are pretty sweet little machines.
I wonder if it has an i5

It's been along time since you did a curbside scavenging,
But hay.. we'll take it.

Back in the day those hooked up to regular TVs. I've had several Atari computers in the past. It probably could be sold on the internet.
YEE yee curb side scraping!
The cpu you found is identical to mine, and even better... Hugs from Brazil
Hey Mike the flex line on the store is a good resale item. They are not cheap.
Mike you are going to seriously hurt yourself on that bike your not a spring chicken anymore. Getting in and out of those dumpsters is playing havoc on your knees and back. We all live vicariously through your video so please be careful. God Bless and take care.

SALUDOS DE CHILE 🤝🤝💚🇨🇱
I had a green machine when i was little in the 1970'S
Harley little "saddlebags" are the glove box inserts for the front lower fairings. They do have some value. The speakers, maybe. Too bad you passed up the black circular probably plastic speaker grills in that same dumpster as they go with that whole setup.
I love rowing
800 is a classic game system from the late eighty
I had several of those Atari computers. I may still have the floppy disk drives to go with it. It's worth money to a collector I'm sure.
👑
We need a video of you riding the green machine
Micro-scrapping those stoves can get you a few pounds of brass and copper most times.
I just grabbed the same little safe curbside doing Urban treasure hunting in my town last week
If you still have the karting tyres try fitting them to the green machine :)
You get a lot of stuff to make that green machine powered.
whoop whoop cant leav the folk unentertained
new curbventure
and wash your hands
Mike, don't tell me your folks never said, go play on the freeway !!??
You can't complain about metal headBOARDS when you scrap metal sticks!
Atari 800 plugged into the TV with an adapter. They are full computers and game systems. Great find if it works!
Come out to Cali with the green machine. Old Patterson Pass road would be dope to run. We used to run it when we were kids with our BMX bikes.
Spring assisted shocks can be dismantled for scrapping.
The Atari hooks up to your TV find out what wires you need or can substitute 🙂❤🤘💯
Anyone else move their heads out of the way when Mike gets out of the dumpster so he doesn't hit it getting out?? lol
David I do, but mostly wonder when he’s going to rip his pants!!!!
No but I hold my breath when he's straining to lift something out of the dumpster or onto the tailgate! Lol
So what did the Mayflower bring?......PILGRIMS😁
Dell are always heavy.. Pentium 4 probably. Stay safe bro. Respect
Kentucky has hills, come on up Mike
Anything in the safe?

That string that looks like a bell is a bathroom clothes line.
Them faucet fixtures have a lifetime warranty on them. My in-laws have them. Never pay for replacements for nothing.
The silver thing with the retractable line, was Ted Bundy's preferred tool for strangulation
I hope this never happens but when I watch you in the dumpster I'm just hoping someone dont through a big bag of nasty on you and not know your in there 😫 love the vids you the man mike from your number one fan tell dottie we said hi from bloomfield Indiana
