Whoa...tomorrow will be my first time flying one of these, and it's a FAR CRY from the c152 I'm accustomed to...glad I watched this to help me mentally prepare!
I own this aircraft, the Flight Design CTLSi. One thing Dan did not mention is the Rotax 812iS Sport Upgrade. Flight Design has been shipping the CTLSi with the upgrade for about 6 months. This increases fuel econ by another 10%, or 30% over older carb'd versions (4gph at max cruise - 91E10 mogas allowed). And adds torque which increases climb and cruise. The ADS-B also provides weather product along with traffic avoidance. The Garmin 796 is a touch screen GPS/WAAS. The newest CTLSi can also optioned with the new Dynon touch PFD/MFD.
I am 6'5" and I do not have a problem with the spar. However, I do not appreciate how they started using "pockets" under the mushroom to place breakers and other extras. I wish they didn't, my knees hit those. Without the "pockets", the mushroom was a big advantage over Remos GX, but now not so much. For wishlist, I wish 1) throttle in panel like on GX. In CT I keep getting interference between brake and throttle levers, and 2) little doors on the wheel fairings to check tires and brakes.
I have been trying to find information about the European version of this aircraft, the CT, with the longer wing span. No good reason other than I am just curious.

If I could afford it, this would be the plane I would buy. It is the best designed light sport on the market! Nice job Dan.
