I know that I forgot many things and it's a Western point of view but I wanted to show how much the 20th century was dense and full.
Full of wars, diseases, colonizations but also full of revolutions, discoveries, inventions and achievements 😊

It's crazy to think of those born in the early 20th century and how they saw so much change and innovation in their lifetime... From horse carriages to cars, radio to TV to the dawn of internet, lanterns to bulbs, and so much more. It's crazy how fast we advanced in the 20th century compared to all centuries prior.

its not "some" facts, you can't just call it world history and include movies or details for western countries but ignore major wars in other continents. I don't like this video simply for not sticking to what it was supposed to offer, so my bad for "complaining" for not being included at all. This is disrespectful and the nerve this youtuber has to like your comment. Poor thing you can't take criticism, honestly grow up and learn more about world history before you make an amazingly edited video. You ruined it for me and any other person who actually studied world history. Also what's with the Israeli war? Do you support Israel or something? Might as well be more insensitive and put in videos celebrating the Iraq war too. Im reporting this video, this is ridiculous.

I went through each decade of the 20th Century and thought of a theme for each:
1900s: Theme of PROGRESS. A time of exciting technological innovation and empire-building.
1910s: Theme of REVOLUTION. From Mexico to China to Russia, and accelerated by WWI, this decade is defined by revolutions.
1920s: Theme of PROSPERITY. The economy booms, while Fascism & Communism grow exponentially with the collapse of the Old World Order.
1930s: Theme of INTERVENTION. We failed to prevent the Great Depression and Rise of Adolf Hitler.
1940s: Theme of POWER. Winner takes all conflicts around WWII and the Cold War's proxy wars.
1950s: Theme of PROSPERITY. The promise of prosperity for the many is juxtaposed against harsh sociopolitical conformity.
1960s: Theme of REVOLUTION. Cultural Revolutions swept the globe from China to US to France, and Anti-War Sentiment boomed.
1970s: Theme of ECONOMY. A period of Economic Upheaval that set the stage for "Free Market" Capitalism.
1980s: Theme of INTERVENTION. State Intervention was denied, and so many threats of Nuclear Escalation required prevention.
1990s: Theme of PEACE. A Fragile Peace subsumed as the Cold War ended and UN Peacekeeping efforts boomed.
Watershed years that changed everything in the 20th Century:
    1905 (Russo-Japanese War)
    1912 (Chinese Revolution, Titanic sinks)
1914 (Start of WWI, Construction of Panama Canal)
1918 (End of WW1, Spanish Flu Pandemic)
    -
1919 (Communism and Fascism, Global Peacemaking efforts)
    1930 (Great Depression officially begins)
1939 (We didn't stop Adolf Hitler so WWII begins, also the Invention of Computer & Electron Microscope)
1941 (Holocaust, German Invasion of Russia, Japanese Bombing of US)
1942 (Climax of WWII: Axis or Allies will win)
1945 (Nuclear Bombing of Japan, Formation of United Nations)
    -
    1947 (US-USSR Cold War, Israel-Palestine, India-Pakistan, China-Taiwan divisions)
1955 (Civil Rights Movement, Start of Vietnam War)
    1957 (Sputnik starts Space Race)
1961 (1st Man in Space is Yuri Gagarin, Bay of Pigs Invasion)
    1962 (We avoided Nuclear War)
1963 (New wave of Feminism, JFK Assassination)
1964 (Lyndon Johnson escalates Vietnam War, Civil Rights Act in US)
1968 (Global Protests, Election of Richard Nixon)
    -
1969 (Lunar Landing, Woodstock, Gay Rights Movement)
1973 (Watergate Scandal, Yom Kippur War, Oil Crisis)
1979 (Iranian Revolution & Energy Crisis, 3 Mile Island, Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan)
1980 (Iran-Iraq War, Election of Ronald Reagan)
1983 (Internet forms, and we avoided Nuclear War... again)
1986 (Chernobyl Nuclear Meltdown catalyzes the end of Cold War)
    -
1988 (Global Awareness of Climate Change begins)
1989 (Tiananmen Square massacre, Fall of Berlin Wall)
    1990 (German Reunification)
1991 (Gulf War, Fall of Soviet Union, World Wide Web is published)
1994 (Nelson Mandela's election, Rwanda & Bosnia, World Wide Web goes public)
1999 (Y2K Crisis around Fear of Technology)
2000 (Election of George Bush Jr)
2001 (9/11 Attacks begin War on Terror)

Amazing video and I can see that you put a lot of effort into it, from researching all of these events and famous individuals to including all of the real footage that is mostly in color. I'm also glad that you mentioned Nikola Tesla, The Balkan Wars, Tito and the The Homeland/Yugoslavia War. Those events are related to my people, since I'm a Serb.
Aside from that, though, worst century to ever live in, esspecially in the early half... I'm amazed by the cultural, scientific and entertainment development, but everything else is awful, to say the least... World War 1, The Spanish Flu, World War 2, all of the civil wars and revolutions... I'm sorry for the poor souls who had to live through the first half... :-(
