That's amazing, no speed cameras. You're lucky indeed. Here, it's terrible. The government just relies on technology for road safety but the standard of driving has decreased. My friend on his beautiful Harley in the video got caught last weekend leaving a small town. They had put the speed camera on the exit of the town, as you roll on the throttle......So glad you enjoy your TLR as well ☺
@KJmotoplus She does look good, I have a few videos on my channel of her.. I do plan to add some miles though this year.. once the UK weather sorts it's act out 🙄💦😂
Exactly, the TLR does have a racing background of years gone-by but it's still fast enough for the road but the riding experience is better than my gen1's on the street due to the pure noise it makes. It's shorter in wheelbase than our busa and lighter but a higher centre of gravity makes for getting use to. Suspension is firm and the damping on the back is a little bouncy. No head shake at all but people like to replace the rear suspension rotary damper ( spring and dampener are two separate units) with a completely new setup - conventional shock and rocker arm linkage. Best wishes to you mate.
Yeah only 26 million, but 99% are all in the same places around the coastline 😂 Iv been riding motorcycles for 45 years & recently decided to get my license. The test was pretty thorough. Cone work in a car park, doing emergency breaking etc: suburban & highway riding. Took about 2 hrs all up.
Yes, I agree with you. I call it a nanny state. I once listened to a high ranking WA POLICE officer and he said to this road safety meeting, “ road safety will be achieved by enforcement “ I couldn’t believe my ears. No advanced riding training, just penalties.
The UK is just as bad, and that’s without all the cameras that have proliferated here.. Fixed speed cameras, mobile speed cameras, average speed cameras, congestion zone cameras, ULEZ cameras, cctv cameras, and even sound cameras..incase your vehicle makes more than 60db 🙄 And I say this as an ex police officer… Enforcement in many ways is about revenue raising
@@woooster17 Bloody hell, I hope my government doesn't find out about Sound Cameras. The hundreds of Harley riders here will get most upset! But seriously, this over authoritarian approach doesn't work when the young riders have next to no real world training. I was a car and motorcycle instructor for a short period of time but I couldn't make a living from it. Thanks very much for your info :)
Yes that's right with the camera,,but the bike test is a three part now, with different power modes , and you really have to want to ride as it's a long process 😭😔😭,, to get a bike over 48 bhp,,car test if you can afford insurance get what you want,,,😢☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland nice bike meet
@@cecilwilson5442 I watch the guys from 44Teeth on RUclips and on their monthly? episodes of “The News” they talk about the state of the motorcycle industry over there and mentioned the costs and insurance costs. It’s a real problem. As I’m a Baby Boomer I think we all got into bikes but today, the kids of 17yrs aren’t interested in riding. 17 is basically the age for a license here, I think. Not 100 percent sure.
I still have my TLR. I love it. Lucky we don’t have speed cameras here in the Los Angeles area.

Love the TLR.. I have a white/blue 1999 TLR with 16k miles.. fitted with the obligatory twin Yoshi’s 😎👍🏼
Wow! 16k miles, that’s still new!

@KJmotoplus Cheers mate, good video.. ride safe 😊🤘
About to run Brisbane to Jindy, on my RR just twisty roads for me. Enjoy the ride!
Sounds great! I’m originally from Sydney and I miss the high country.
Wow that TL 1k is cool. I heard they're twitchy on the steering, is that true?

Where did you do your test? But yes, everybody builds on the coast. :)
Our country is high on the Authoritarian index, world wide. Sad.

Seems like the whole world is moving that direction, unfortunately.
