When Terry came out on smash my friend said "who tf is this irrelevant ass dude?" And I got soooo mad cause I grew up playing KoF and other SNK games

Terry bogard is awesome, the snk games and kof in general has so much story and depth to its characters for a fighting game, I highly recommend it if you like fighters. Terry bogard just happens to be one of the most stylish FG characters of all time.
Yeah this def got me more interested in SNK. Never truly gave them the respect they deserved
Yeah Yamazaki have an awesome background story too. Too bad that kof only focus on the face team and the villains.
And unlike how other fight games creates their character snk character design is heavily influenced their background and techniques.
For example why deejay can throw fireballs because he just can. In snk they'll have a whole back story for it like Yamazaki with his right hand always in his pocket. Their back stories makes their design and mannerisms more sense.
I recommend you Watch the *"King of Fighters: Destiny"* series, it's not Perfect but it's really Good.
*Pros:* The Story was Great, it's a Mix of KOF 94 and FF1 Stories combined into 1, Awesome Fight scenes, Terry has an Epic Role.
*Cons:* It's a full on 3-D CGI Animated Series, that's probably what Hurts the most of the Series.

Terry Bogard is going to be the longest one that Black Mastadonte has ever done being that he as first introduced in the Fatal Fury series and he was at King of Fighters.

Fun fact, the king of fighters only exist because the peeps at snk wanted to make Terry fight Ryo from art of fighting, but Ryo game art of fighting takes place like 40 years before fatal fury.
As a result of Roy being a secret character in Fatal Fury special.

Fatal Fury II is actually my first fighting game. Long before I even knew what Street Fighter and Tekken were. Suffice to say, Terry Bogard will always be #1 in my book! :D

after that he quit and train as a martial artist

To me Terry Bogard is a very strong and powerful fighter,his special moves are awesome and off the chain such as his BURNING KNUCKLES,POWER WAVE,RISING TACKLE,CRACK SHOOT,POWER DUNK & POWER CHARGE
Oh yeah even his super moves is off the chain such as his POWER GEYSER,TRIPLE POWER GEYSER & BUSTER WOLF

Terry Bogard: the first fighter in "civvie style" clothing, back when fighting protags were generic ass martial arts masters or soldiers, my boy changed the game with his anti-shoto style (for lack of a better term).

Thank you so much for this episode. Fatal Fury was suppose to be my inspiration for an original martial arts tournament novel series, but I never got around to it as life got in the way. I'm still not even sure if I want to go through with it, as I could just write from one protagonist's point of view.
Anyway, looking forward to the next episode!

Sadly just like Terry, Ryo doesn't have a Big Role in the KOF Timeline, I think it's best to just stick to his *"Art of Fighting"* Lore, Ryo in his Prime was the Good Times.

Surprised this video isn't blowing up now that we got all that footage of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. There's actually not a lot of good breakdowns of the actual plot and until now I literally had no idea that FF and KOF were different timelines. Whenever I get into a new series, I like to learn all the lore and I been getting into all the new fighting games so I appreciate this video.
I was confused wit The KOF/Fatal Fury timeline like I remember seeing the game(s) when I was younger but couldn’t put the pieces together so this helped clear everything up for me dope stuff as always ✊🏾🔥✊🏾🔥 and I’m looking forward to know more about Hayabusa I always play his games but never know his background besides the little info I do have of him either way I now understand Terry and I’m gonna understand Hayabusa it’s all good 😎😎😎

I know Terry's English is not that clear since it's a japanese voice actor who voices him, but I'd love to know what Terry says in his SDM in KOF 2002 and Garou Mark of the Wolves. I know he says "Go bang" in his DM, but in the SDM he says something before "Go bang".

Terry is my favorite fighter of all. If he's in a game, you can bet he'll be my main. I've always wished SNK would unify their continuity. Even with the rotating protagonists that populate the King of Fighters franchise, there's (mostly) a way to do it. I'm gonna try my hand at writing, and make stories based on this concept. Who knows... maybe with time and effort, they'll become canninical.
Fun fact: Terry's move, the Burn Knuckle? He straight lifted from Jack, from Art of Fighting. And in the 2nd anime? When Terry's doing his "wandering drunk" thing? Jack is one of the people that mugs him.
Actually, Art Of Fighting was released in 1992, whilst Fatal came out in 1991, so the dates don’t match up much, but AOF has been credited for inventing super moves.

Also most dont know that The creator of street fighter (Takashi Nishiyama) made Fatal Fury (also Terry) after going to SNK and was in development about the same time actually. Also Nishiyama envisioned fatal Fury as a spiritual successor to Street Fighter. It takes a long time to make games Which SF2 came out February 6, 1991, FF November 25, 1991, and other clones or competitors came out over a year or 2. FF was the first fighting game to reach home system as well on the SNK. It took 2 years for SF2 to be made which as you see takes a longer time to make games then which shows they were made at the same time. Also that Terry has appeared in the most fighting games out of any other character.
