    Appendix is nuts. A full size G17 and a full size mag just disappearing under a normal fitting shirt. His broad shoulders/chest really help the shirt drape over the rig.

    Great video guys! Love that you kept the „bloopers“ in. Would never carry anything on the back like that, my spine is to valuable to me for that 😅 a lot of police officers also keep that part of their duty belt „equipment free“ due to risk of spine injury.

    For the scene in spectre when he goes out into the desert base and the butler ask for his gun, he pulls his gun from the 5 o’clock position in a inside the wasteland holster. Very comfortable way to carry, shoulder holsters quite the contrary and I guess they just keep it alive for brand.

    my biggest gripe with carrying at the SOB which no one mentioned in the video is the possibility of falling on your back & becoming paralyzed from the gun metal damaging your spine which I’ve actually heard happening to a detective in his career actually having a very bad spill & landed perfectly on the SOB where the gun was damaging his spine leaving him in a chair forever.
    I know it’s a far cry from happening but if you’re a freak of nature like me who never wins the lotto but catches the extremely rare blood disease & see that happening to you then I fear carrying SOB you couldn’t pay me to carry that way, lol

      Once being thrown from a horse I landed on my hip holstered 1911. The grip shattered when I hit a boulder, which may have saved my hip. It may have saved my life as well, in that I was able to get up and back on the horse.

    • @vitalityfox
      @vitalityfox 11 месяцев назад

      @user-uz7dm6qn3y that's why you need to just ditch those goddamn big ass guns. Of course a 1911 is gonna fuck you up if you fall on it. It's 2 goddamn pounds of steel. It might as well be a fucking brick in your pants. Get a subcompact pistol and a pocket holster and you'll never leave home without it.

    Bond wears a p99 in a vega iwb at the 5 o clock in casono royal when hes in the Bahamas after the airport chase and fight scene and with small of back carry you wont flag anyone if you take it out properly and keep the barrel pointed down as you bring it around I personally like sob carry if I'm walking for along period and I know I wont be sitting or sitting for limit periods because when postioned properly the curve of ur lower back and the grip of the pistol sit together nice and you wont print at all or very very little

    I'm a huge James Bond fan and I'm also an avid shooter and firearms enthusiast. While I love the movies, they always get firearms wrong. For the modern Bond, the PPK is not a practical firearm considering the market today. The .32 or .380 is a very underwhelming round. 9mm is more practical for the modern shooter and i was thrilled when they updated to the P99 as it's a more practical gun then the PPK but then they reverted back to the PPK for some reason. I love bond but the guns and tactics, for me, just reminds me its entertainment.

      The other aspect I would have loved to see is that when Boothroyrd and Fleming were trying to find a better gun for Bond then his .25 Beretta, Boothroryd suggested a Smith and Wesson airweight in .38. That would have been a phenomenally better gun back then versus the PPK. I fantasize about a world in which Bond carried a snub versus the PPK.

    • @crewgadjy

    In reference the comments about falling down with the SOB carry are a bit off. While you may crack a vertebrae or injury your muscles, the chance of actually damaging the spinal cord is almost nil. The structure of the back muscular and the bone structure itself prevent this from a ground level fall, even if pushed back. That being said, I have seen police officers injured from wearing their cuffs in the small of the back. This is almost always a muscular injury.

    This guy seems to have a decent knowledge of firearms but I don’t know where he was going with that Vega holster. The clip shouldn’t have to be reversed for a right handed shooter in its current configuration. I owned that Vega with my P99 and currently own the Galco version with my Glock 26. Galco is far superior in my opinion. The suede Vega uses is way too thin and flimsy. That shoulder holster you have looks nice, as you said, but Galco wins again with me. The Miami Classic II is extremely comfortable and extremely practical.

    • @aarondesch
      @aarondesch 2 года назад

      depends on how/where you want to carry.
      that holster was set up for right handed hip (3 o-clock), but if you want to use it at the small of back (6 o-clock) you want to put the clip on the other side, which turns the gun around so the grip is pointing at your draw hand, not away.
      If you have a holster set up for right handed hip carry put it at the small of your back and try to draw, you'll see
